Any word on the rumored replacement show for the Diamond Horseshoe revue? The rumors were there would be a soft opening on 6/26-6/28 and an official opening on 7/1. Does anyone know if the show opened on 6/26....and if so--details?

I hear it involves the characters teaching kids how to line dance to country music. Supposed to be very interactive. Shows run something like 18 minutes. Not sure what the actual experience is like, though. Hopefully someone's gone through the previews and can provide more details.

We saw a preview just this week. The new show is suppose to open on July 1st & it is called Goofy's Country Jamboree (or something close to that)
We did stay & see the show.
It was OK. It was nice to get out of the heat & sun for a while but I would not call it a must see either.

They had Goofy, Chip & Dale & Jessie, Bullseye & Woody from Toy Story line dancing.

There was a lady (forgot her name) was the main person singing & dancing.

Like I said it was OK, a good place to get off your feet & out of the heat from a bit :)

That sounds like fun for the kids.
Did they let the kids go up and try to line dance???
And was there any interaction with the characters....or was it just a show?

And what kind of music? Was it true country or did they do Disney songs with a country flare?

I also heard that there is no seating available, except on the floor. Is this true?

The Toy Story characters make it sound like fun! My 4 yo niece is a huge Jessie fan! My mom bought my dd a Disney Country tape a while ago - we might have to listen to it a few times before our trip this fall!

Yes, those who want can join Chip, Dale, Jessie, Bulleye & Woody on the dance floor & country line dance. As I am remebering I believe Goofy stayed on the stage during that part.

There are no seating on the main floor, just the line dancing. There is limited seating on the upper floor. Which is a great view to take pictures of the kiddies dancing ;) But the seating is limited so if you need a seat, get there early!

As far as the music it was country songs, like the eletric slide & such but once in a while they did throw in some Disney flare too!

It is a good show to see, espeically if you have little ones that are into the Toy Show characters.
My son was tired by this time so he didn't feel like dancing, but he did get into the clapping & enjoyed watching it.

Gosh. I was hoping for something as well thought out as the Woody's Roundup show that used to be at disneyland seemed to be. That show was based on the old TV show that Woody was in, and the characters and action on stage appeared in black and white while the show was "running" - the description of this show doesn't sound that insteresting, it just souns like some costumed characters dancing around. Hopefully it is better than it sounds, because this seems disapointing, compared to what it could have been.

Here is the old disneyland show-
