On the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies there is talk of BTMRR closing in August through October for a rehab. Apparently it sounds like they are refitting the cars with a "foot guard" of some type.

Does anyone have any official word on this? I've heard late August through October. Now, aren't the Rehab schedules usually posted about two months in advance?

That would be a shame since I am going during that timeframe. Now, if the summer is projected to be busy, would that rehab be better in the non summer months... (ie after Labor Day). I realize mid-August the crowds do taper somewhat, but with many people taking advantage of the FTP, would it be postponed to say a non FTP time.. like November/December?

ANy information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, there is more info on this on the Theme Park Strategies and Attractions Forum.

When I rode BTMRR about two weeks ago, one of the trains did have a "foot guard" on the vehicle. It was actually pretty nice...felt less nervous about losing my backpack.
