Here's a link which might help. I haven't really examined it in great detail.

Harry Potter info (http://www.ivillage.co.uk/food/cook/kids/articles/0,10103,177270_181300,00.html). Enjoy.

More links
Harry Potter food (http://www.hogwarts.esmartweb.com/foods.htm)

Treacle Tart (http://dynamicearth.com/reviews/hp1.htm) - However, treacle and golden syrup are different. Treacle is very, very thick, dark brown and has a taste that is very different to golden syrup. I have never heard of treacle tart being made with golden syrup.

My mum used to make treacle tart with golden syrup. I must have been a teenager before I found out that golden syrup and treacle were two different things.
