Hi everybody!
I need to drop off of the Atkins diet for a while--about 9 months or so! I just found out I am pregnant! (No wonder I wasn't losing as quickly, and I kept craving weird stuff like avacados and peanut butter--together!)
Anyway, for health reasons, I am not doing strict Atkins anymore, just staying away from refined flour products ansd sugar, but adding in lots of fresh fruits and veggies and milk. I gained 25lbs with my first baby, who will celebrate her first birthday next month, so I am hoping to gain about the same amount this time.
Thanks to Atkins and wish, I weigh 22 lbs less than my starting weight last time, and I feel great! I won't be losing anything else, but would like to keep checking in here--I will be back on the weight loss track next April, and could use the support as I try to have a healthy diet this time around!

How exciting!!!
I'm sure you'll be able to keep your weight gain in check now that you're used to having heathy eating habits. Not me - I gained about 60 lbs. with each of mine!
Congratulations on the good news!

How exciting! Will this be our first WISH baby? I know of one other WISHer who is pregnant but I don't think it's my place to name her.
Congratulations, sweetie. I'm glad you will be hanging around WISH still. If you stay away from refined carbohydrates I'll bet you keep your prenatal weight gain minimal.
This is so neat!

Oh that is WONDERFUL!!!! Congratulations - both on the pregnancy AND on your successful losses with following Atkins. Hopefully you will sail through this pregnancy - healthy and with a reasonable weight to contend with afterwards.

What great news!!! Congratulations! You might want to check out the book "Sugarbusters". You substitute whole wheat pasta for regular pasta; sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes; stone ground whole wheat bread for white bread, etc. They probably have a website.
Let us know how you are doing.

Congratulations!! That is so exciting. Keep us posted. Sounds like you have a great plan to keep the weight gain at a minimum. I gained a lot with my 1st 2 pregnancies(30lbs) but with my last one I only gained 17 pounds. I felt so much better with the minimal weight gain. I was able to bounce back quickly after the delivery(went shopping the day I came home from the hospital). Good luck.
