It just seems a little quiet around here, lately :)

Leaving for Mexico trip on July 2nd - I should be getting things ready and I am not.............. but still have one more weekend so it's okay.

This trip is a "vacation with a purpose" for us. We are going with 28 adults from our church and we are staying at an orphanage in Tijuana. So will have a chance to be with the kids early in the morning and later in the evening. During the day some will build a house in the area and some (this is me) will be working (uh, okay, playing) with the children who come around the house site.

DH and I have been on 2 trips previously with Habitat International, so even tho this one will be unique in and of itself, we are aware of how these trips help us to put life in perspective and recognize the abundance we take for granted, having the privilege of living in the US.

Bev, that sounds like a wonderful trip!

Will you take lots of pictures for us? You'll actually be staying in the orphanage?

That sounds very adventurous, and I'm sure you'll have some stories to tell and memories to cherish when you return.

I was thinking the same thing Kath, but then I figured that since the Sun has FINALLY made an appearance in parts of the country where it has been absent for so long, I bet everyone's outside getting some activity in!

Next wk will be quiet - pajammatam is going on vaca 6/28-7/5

DS & I will be up in the White Mtns, NH 7/3-7/6

Then back to the Hampton/Seabrook area 7/18-7/24

then we're home a while then away in ME camping 8/16-8/19

then home until 11/6 when we leave for our MAGICal cruise!

I've been outside working on my tan for Disney, of course!

I've also been keeping the binge monster at bay (I'll let him out some at Disney, of course)... so I am still at goal and holding steady.

I had a Deep Tissue Massage today and I totally recommend it for everyone! WOW!! After 1.5 hours, I actually felt intoxicated leaving. I'm glad I wasn't driving! lol

I've been burned out from being on my computer way too much at work! :earseek:

I've been hoping to be laid off & they just keep extending our contract. I get home after being really busy all day at the work computer & even for you guys I just can't face another computer! Hopefully even though I'm still working things will start to slow down some.

I'm still hanging in there with both diet & exercise, but progress is, as usual, slow.
