Was trying to decide what to cook tonight. I decided to try the chicken finger recipe that is on page 4 or 5 of the low carb recipes here on the wish board.Hope they are as good as everyone says!!


I had the munchies today...guess it is getting close to "that time"!! I was naughty though.I helped my dd make a big sugar cookie(in a pizza pan) and it smelled SO good. I did eat a small sliver and felt guilty as soon as I swallowed it. I also had a carbolite candy bar(zero carbs) and some mandarin orange slices!! I hope everything will be OK though. I just kept wanting to eat!!!!!

i'm not on Atkins, I had a munchie day today too! lots of 1-2 pt foods and I'm ok with that. somedays I just need to graze, and maybe that's not the quickest way to lose, but it helps me keep my sanity and not binge.

so - next time you have a day like that - be prepared with Atkins-friendly snacks and don't feel guilty!

YIKES! Looks like you need to come up with an emergency plan.

Did you know that there are low carbohydrate cookies made by carbolite? The shortbread is a little high 2.6 grams but the peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies are only 2 grams (I think). My husband loves these cookies, it's hard to get him to stop at just one.

You know what? Stuff happens. It's over, it's done and you can't change what you did earlier so don't go feeling guilty. Guilt is a waste of energy, you need all of your energy for working off those extra carbs you ate earlier ;)

Just get back on track and head toward goal again. You're going to be fine. You should start over on induction, though. You need to get rid of those refined carbs you ate and induction will help that along. Did the oranges and cookie knock you out of ketosis?

{{{HUGS}}} sweetie. Don't worry about what happened in the past. Focus on right now. Work up a plan for dealing with temptations like you had today and you will be prepared the next time those nasty refined carbohydrates try to lure you into their snare :) WISHers need to be like boy scouts "always prepared ;)

Did you try the chicken reciepe? Is it the one that Kath posted with the heavy cream? Let me know...I am gonna try it too!

I tried the chicken fingers and they were WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even my dh liked them!! The recipe is on either page 4 or 5 on the lo carb recipe section. I thought I cooked enough so that if I wanted to grab something to snack on I would have those but dh packed the rest of them for his lunch!!!

I am still in ketosis!!! Hopefully I will stay that way!!
