We'll be on the Wonder 7/20/03. We have the late seating and are waitlisted for the early seating. I just called Disney last night and the CM said she doesn't know if the early seating will come through. Does anyone already have early seating and would like to switch to late seating? We have a party of 4. Thanks!

We were on the April 10th Wonder which was booked completely full. We booked the cruise in Feb and tried for early seating. We tried up until we left and nothing. When we got on board, I went to the place the navigator said to change dinner assignments, I did not get there on time and I signed on a very long waiting list for the early seating. We were called about 1 1/2 hours before dinner telling us we were switched to early for the whole cruise. So don't get discouraged if you don't get it, just go down when it says. I think it is normally around 12:45 so I would say get onboard as early as possible and try to be one of the first in line and you will have a very good shot at it. Even if your at the bottom of the page, it may work out.

Although they will most certainly accommodate your request for early seating, late offers some nice advantages. Since we tend to book our cruises only a few months before sail date, we've always been shut out of early seating, yet we've learned to really like late seating b/c:
-we get 1/2 hr extra of "getting ready" time before 6:30 show (early seating is at 6)
-observed less crowded shows at 630
-rotation restaurants are not only less crowded for late, but we've experienced a less hurried, more relaxed dine...I guess b/c staff is not pressured to prepare for the next seating
-The hour between end of 630 show and 830 seating allows us some time to shop, take pictures, and stroll around the ship

Don't forget the best advantage to late seating:
You get the late seating for breakfast on debarkation day instead of going down at 6:30 then hanging out until the ship is cleared.

I was seriously considering switching to the late seating for this cruise as I hve early and I think the kids will be too busy to worry about dinner that early. So this may be a plan.
