Okay, this seems like a great way for me to keep track of my exercise. I was looking around for a notebook last night but couldn't find one and was gonna pick one up on the way home from work but now that I've found this I won't need to buy one.
Since I've been keeping track since friday I'll include that in my first post.
Fri - 30 min walk, crunches
Sat - 30 min walk on beach, bicep/tricep work
Sun - 1 1/2 hrs on the boardwalk, crunches
Mon - 1mile walk on the treadmill (25min), bicep/tricep work
I also bought an exercise ball last night b/c I've heard its better for my crunches and I got an exercise band since my free weights aren't so effective for my biceps anymore.
Tonight it will be hard for me to get my walk in since I work until 7 tonight. Hopefully I will have energy to walk at least 20 min and do my crunches.

Well my prediction was right - I didn't get to walk yesterday but I did my crunches. I'm not sore at all today from them so i'm not sure if i did them right. I used my exercise ball since i read that was a better way to do them rather than laying on the floor. Oh well - I felt it when I was doing them.
I didn't get home from work until 7:30 and by the time dinner was over it was 9:30 and I had no energy to do more than my crunches. Those 10hr days are killers. I have another one on Thurs but Dan works that night so my dinner should be quick enought to allow me some workout time if I'm not too tired.

Okay got my 1/2 hour walk in on Wed and did weights. Its a good thing I walked before dinner b/c I was so darn tired afterwards. I was ready to go to bed at 8 but somehow I managed to stay awake until 9. I have really been tired lately for no good reason. HOpefully exercise will help me get some more energy.
I only had to work a half day today so once I get motivated I'll take a walk and do my abs. I'll probably end up eating dinner first.
Well I got my walk in - 30mins, 1 1/3 miles. Ab work after dinner. I'm starved now.

I did get to my abs last night but I didn't really feel much. I must be doing something wrong.
I got up early today and could have taken my walk then but I didn't have enough time to walk and take a shower afterwards b/c I always get sweaty. I'll have plenty of time later today since I'm only working til 1 today.
I'm so happy, my biceps actually feel like a muscle! And my tummy looked a little nicer today (okay I was still sucking it in, but it still looked better) - maybe it was just me.
I did finally get to my walk, only 20 mins though in my living room not on the treadmill and I did work my arms. Hopefully I'll be more motivated tomorrow.

06-28-2003, 09:58 AM
I got my walk in already today. I needed stamps so I walked to the post office that is about 8-10 blocks away. It was a 30min total which is what I would normally walk on the treadmill. I may walk a little on the treadmill today too if I'm in the mood. Just have to be sure to do the abs today.
I might start working out more of my upper body too. I've just been doing biceps and triceps. I'm not sure what else I can do though. I have 5lb free weights and one of those strech exercise bands. ANy thoughts???

Here's an update from the weekend. I didn't get around to abs on Sat so I jsut did them Sun along with my arms. HOwever I didn't take a walk sun either. I was just so darn tired from 8 1/2 of work outdoors. That sun really makes me sleepy. I'm gonna try to walk doulble today or at least get to 2 miles which is close to double.
So far I walked for 20 mins in place while I watched some tennis. Hopefully I'll get to the treadmill after dinner. I walked another 27mins (1.25) miles on the treadmill. Still haven't gotten to my abs yet but the night's not over. I drank so much water today and I'm still so darn thirsty.

I didn't get in any exercise yesterday - well maybe a little walking at the office but nothing really to count but I didn't expect too. Tuesdays are a tough day for me cause I work two shifts. I did get in a 30 min walk outside tonight and I plan on working my arms and abs before bed.

Okay haven't posted for a while so here's what's been going on.
Thurs and Fri - I did nothing. Not a surprise for Thurs and since I had to pick up an extra shift on fri at the orchard I was beat.
Sat - walked 25min at 3.0. THat was the first time I pushed it that fast. I usually start at 2.5 and then go to 2.7. I thought it would feel much faster but it didn't so I'm going to try that speed again tonite.
Sun - walked to CVS, it's about 20 min each way. I know I didn't walk as fast as I do when I'm on the treadmill but I'm sure I walked at least as far as I do when I'm on the treadmill and boy was I tired when I got back - lots more tired than when I walk the treadmill. I also worked my arms.
honeymo78
07-08-2003, 08:45 PM
I walked 1.5 miles (30min) today and worked my arms, adding an extra set to my biceps.
honeymo78
07-09-2003, 08:46 PM
I really wasn't motivated to walk tonite at all so instead of the treadmill I went outside. It had cooled off a bit so I took a different route than I took last time I walked outside. I ended up getting a little lost but that was okay since I ended up walking 35-40 min without getting too tired - I could have walked longer but I had use the potty. I'll get to abs before I go to bed.
honeymo78
07-12-2003, 08:12 AM
I did nothing on Thurs - needed a day off after 10hrs of work. On Friday I worked arms and walked only 15mins but I did do a bit of walking at the mall fri afternoon. Hopefully I'll be back to a half hour today.

Yesterday, Sat, I walked a mile and worked my arms. I really didn't feel like walking since I had been really busy at work and was tired and sunburnt but I did it anyway. I haven't noticed a change in my clothes fitting better or anything yet and it's been two weeks but I do feel better in general. Hopefully the clothes change will come soon. I also find that I am craving my water more. If I don't drink about a gallon a day I'm always feeling thirsty.
Today I walked for about a half hour around the neighborhood.

No exercise for Tues as usual. If anyone has ideas for quick and easy exercise (I don't think there is such a thing) for when I'm kinda tired from 10 hrs of work.
Today I did the 8min TaeBo tape - what a workout and about 10/15 min of a legs and butt tape (only got through the calf work). I also did abs and arms again. I might go and walk on the treadmill for 10 mins to make it feel like I got in my normal amout of exercise for the day. Usually at least 20min walk.
UPDATE - I went and walked 10min on treadmill tonite. Now I feel like I've really gotten my workout in.
I can't wait til my WATP tapes and my Richard Simmons tapes come in. Never done WATP before but everyone raves about them. I also love Simmons with the oldies and broadway music - I love to sing along while I work out and I like seeing people of all shapes and sizes. His videos also seem to do some good spot work (ie arms) along with the aerobic workout.
Hi Honey!!
Just took a look at your postings. Wow!! Keep it up. The weight training is great to do. You may want to add some chest presses-3-5 lbs. weight are all you need. I found that presses and push-ups make a big difference on my chest area-which has always been big. Also, I have been doing some back strenghtening. It really makes a difference in my overall posture. Of course, it seems that no matter how many or how often, the abs are still there!!
Well they didn't get there overnight, so I know the abs will be the last ot go for me.
Keep moving !!! It is the best thing for you.

Yesterday I walked a mile on the treadmill. I was so tired that I didn't think I would make it but I feel much better knowing that I didn't skip out on the exercise.
Today I'll definitely get in at least a mile and do arms and abs. And thanks to Nezy I think I'll try some chest presses. By the way Nezy, what type of exercises do you do for back strengthening? I think that is something I should look into since I often have pack pain from sitting at my desk for so long.
I walked about 25min outside, at least a mile. I've done my arms but I'll wait for abs until after dinner. Will my calves and hips ever stop hurting every time I walk?!
honeymo78
07-19-2003, 12:36 PM
I went for a walk this afternoon, sort of like my normal one but a bit shorter b/c I didn't realize how hot it was and didn't bring water. I figure I walked 1.5miles b/c I walked about 30mins and when I'm outside I usual can do the route that I know is 2miles in aobut 40 mins so I figure 1/2 mile every 10mins of walking. No weights today but I may try out the thigh portion of my sculpting tape - but I don't have a "step" :(
honeymo78
07-20-2003, 08:55 PM
I walked for almost 30mins, probably 1.5miles today and worked arms and chest. I did abs yesterday so I'll probably give them some time off today.

07-21-2003, 10:07 PM
My WATP tapes finally came so I did the 1mile and 15mins of Broadway. I also did arms since i did abs last night before bed.

07-22-2003, 09:35 PM
I'm so proud of myself - for those of you who read my journal you've seen that I generally don't exercise on Tuesday b/c I'm too tired from my 10hr plus day. Well I did WATP 1mile. It seems so much easier (not necessarily physically easier) to do that instead of hopping on the treadmill for a mile when I'm kinda worn out. I'm going to try to remember to do abs before I go to bed.
honeymo78
07-23-2003, 05:06 PM
I haven't even had dinner and I've exercised for the day. I did the watp 2 mile tape today. That is such a good workout. I love it!!! I also did biceps and triceps today.
honeymo78
07-24-2003, 10:09 PM
I did the 2mile tape again today. I might get in some abs before I go to bed but not sure about that. I'm going to try to keep track of how far I walk in AC tomorrow. I think they have mile markers on the boardwalk.
honeymo78
07-25-2003, 07:55 PM
I walked about 2 miles on the boardwalk. I kept track of the distance b/w the 2 casinos i was going to when i drove by in my car and it was 1 mile. I walked from one to the other and back so I figured it must have been 2 miles. I also worked arms today.
honeymo78
07-26-2003, 04:00 PM
I did about 45 mins of sweatin to the oldies. I should have gone the whole 60mins but I was so hot and sweaty. I'm sure I still got a good workout.
honeymo78
07-28-2003, 11:28 AM
Yesterday I did 2 mile WATP tape and mowed the lawn and did some hedge clipping. I was supposed to do arms but they were so sore already from using those shears that I put it off until today.
honeymo78
07-28-2003, 06:25 PM
I did the 2mile watp and arms today. Wow it's not even 6:30 and I've done my exercise for the day woohoo.
Hi Honey!
Keep up the good stuff!
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner-I find it difficult in the summer to get on the computer!
Anyway, I take a class at the gym call "Club Strength" that incorporates light weight lifting w back exercises. Check out an excercise magazine like "Shape" or book for some of those. One simple excercise without weights is called athe "Cobra" where you lay on the floor on your stomach and either alternately or simultaneously stretch up from the waist first your chest for 10 counts then from your waist tighten your buttucks and lift your legs for 10. You can also lift chest and legs at the same time. Do it gently and DO NOT OVER EXTEND your neck or back.
The excercises with weights are very effective.
honeymo78
07-29-2003, 09:55 PM
Thanks Nezy, I'll try the "cobra" and look up some other exercises.
I did 2mile WATP and I'll do abs before bed.
Is it just me or do those ladies in WATP never seem to sweat. I'm dripping by the time I'm done but they look perfect.
honeymo78
07-30-2003, 08:25 PM
Well I tried out the 3 mile WATP tape and boy is that a workout. I only did 2 miles of it b/c I was short on time but I'm not sure that I would have made it all the way anyway. I was panting before I was into 1 mile. I think she moves through the warm up to the fast walking a lot quicker than in the 2mile tape. I'm definitely sticking the 2 mile until at least next Mon. I may even wait until I get back from WDW to start the 3 mile. I'd like to be able to do the 2mile without panting too much before I take on the higher intensity workout. I did arms before the tape too which might have made a difference. There's a lot more arm work in the 3 mile and my arms were already a little sore from weight work.
I didn't do abs last night so hopefully I'll get them in tonight.
Honey-
I think it must be in the editing of those tapes that keeps them all so "neat and pretty".
I am in a funk!! I cannot seem to get motivated. the kids and hubby being around have thrown off my schedule of excercise.
At least I haven't gained-but I anm not losing. I've get to get back in the swing.
Keep it up.
Nezy
honeymo78
07-31-2003, 09:28 PM
Nezy - I agree it must be editing. I'm sure you'll get back on the exercise track again. I almost felt like skipping tonight but I realized how easily one day can turn into two or eventually a week of no exercise. It's definitely a challenge when schedules change. I'll have to deal with that at the end of aug when I start on my LLM. Just take it one day at a time and I'm sure we'll both get back into the swing of things.
Today I walked 1mile on the treadmill but 5 mins of it was jogging. I honestly thought I would die from not getting enough air and my calves and ankles are killing me but I made it to 5 mins. It definitely felt as intense as my 2mile tape.

I didn't do anything on Sat and felt like kind of a slug for it. I worked 8 hrs on Sat then had dinner with my mom. If I had known she was going to take so long to get here I would have walked at least mile before showering and getting ready for dinner but with my luck she would have showed up early if I had done that. I didn't get home until almost 10pm and by then I was really beat and I wanted to spend some time with DH2B.
On Sunday I did 2mile WATP and got right back on track.

honeymo78
08-07-2003, 08:27 PM
I didn't exercise yesterday other than working arms. My 2H2B will be my downfall. He called to say he would be home from work 3 different times so each time I put off exercising thinking he would be home soon and we would have dinner. Well he didn't actually get home from work until 8 and we got pizza for dinner. I was so tired by the time we were done that I didn't go and walk.
I did the 1 mile WATP tape today. I was too worn out from work to do the 2mile and I had a headache b/c the power went out and we had to use the generator. Boy is that thing loud.
I went back downstairs and walked 10 mins on the treadmill. I really wanted to read some more of a book so i did it while walking.
honeymo78
08-08-2003, 10:15 PM
I actually did the 3 mile WATP tape, the whole thing, but without the weights. I thought I wasn't going to make it by the time I hit 1.5 miles but once i got past 2miles I knew I would be fine. Now my energy is up but it's almost time to go to bed. I definitely will be able to do this one once I come back from vacation.
honeymo78
08-09-2003, 07:53 AM
I got up early this morning b/c I couldn't sleep. I can never sleep much this close to leaving for WDW. I'm just too excited. So I did my 2mile watp tape. What a great way to start the day.
honeymo78
08-17-2003, 10:45 PM
I'm now back from 7 days in WDW where I did pleny of walking but not enough water drinking. Tonight I did the evening 1 mile WATP tape that just came in the mail from QVC. I probably should have stayed off my feet since they are still very swollen and blistered but I had to try it out. Not too bad but I didn't do all the leg exercises at the end of it. I was just too pooped.

Great job getting back to exercise so quickly after vacation. I hope the swelling and blisters go down quickly for you.

I didn't exercise at all on Monday. I think I was just too tired and sore feet from begin back at work all day. I did the evening WATP mile last night and today I did the morning mile this morning and did the evening mile tonight. I also worked arms a little. Since I don't have to be at work as early tomorrow I'm going to try to do the morning mile again but I'm not making any promises. I love my sleep.

Tonight I was wondering whether I had wasted my money buying a treadmill last xmas especially since I found those WATP tapes. I was getting ready to do the evening mile when my DH2B reminded me that CSI was on. So I watched CSI while I walked a mile on the treadmill. After that I did the leg exercises from the evening tape - I did them on Sun and Tues as well so now I know them without watching the tape. I forgot to mention before that I did the abs workout with the morning tape yesterday. While I was doing it I didn't think it was that intense, that's not to say it was easy but I really didn't think I would be so sore today. I don't mind being sore though since it tells me that I actually worked my muscles.
honeymo78
08-23-2003, 08:32 AM
Last night all i did was mow the lawn and that really isn't a big deal considering it was only the front yard and it's pretty small. It was way too hot out and threatening storms to do the back which would have been more of a workout. I had been hoping to get in the evening mile but a number of things stopped me. I had a scrapbook crop last night and my foot is sore. I had so many blisters from WDW and now they have basically healed leaving some dead skin that acts kinda like a hangnail and one of them ripped off sometime yesterday leaving some raw skin - ouch!. I'm going to try and walk a mile this morning but if it gets too painfull I'll stop. I don't want to make it so bad I can't exercise for more days.
honeymo78
08-24-2003, 09:50 PM
Yesterday I did the morning mile and the abs workout. Tonight I did the regular 1 mile WATP. Hopefully this week I'll get back to doing the 2 mile tape. I think i needed a little vacation after vacation lol. We've gotta try and fit in a do nothing type vacation next year.

Thanks believe. Two months ago I never would have guessed I would have stayed faithful with exercise this long.
For the next week or so I won't be using WATP. I will be exercising though but on the treadmill because it is US Open time again. I have to watch those matches, especially once Agassi plays - boohoo I'll be at work tomorrow for his first match =( Good riddance Pete, now Andre can win.
Tonight I walked 30 mins, 1.5 miles during the Clisters/Lui? match.

I didn't get any exercise in on Tues except for walking around the mall a bit. I sacrificed exercising to spend some time with Dan before he left for 2 days. Sometimes it's really a drag to have to choose b/w him and exercise. Most of the time he understands that I really need to keep on track but some days he doesn't want me to leave his sight - which means sitting on the couch watching tv.
On a positive note though he admitted that he had weighed himself on the scale when I got it back at the end of June and that he had just recently weighed himself again and he had lost about 25lbs. I wish I could lose weight while still eating what I wanted to and not exercising. He has been cutting back on the amount of beer he drinks and the amount of fast food he eats. I guess being on his feet 8hrs most days is enough exercise for him. He says he'll get some free weights to work his upper body. I can't wait for that. He took a weight training class in college and boy did he get some nice arm/shoulder/back definition from that.
Yesterday I stuck to my plan and did the 2 mile WATP tape as soon as I got home from work. I had plenty of time to exercise, shower and eat before leaving for class at 4:30.
I have only one class tonight so I will be done much earlier than last night. I hope to do 1 mile before class and then another mile after I get home later tonight. This will likely change depending on when Dan gets home from his trip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he won't get home before I leave for class so I can get at least a mile in today.

Tonight I did the evening mile. I really didn't want too, feet hurt after a long busy day at the orchard but if I didn't do it I would have ended my 7 weeks straight of exercise (6 weeks for the purposes of the exercise clippee). I couldn't believe I've been exercising that long! and staying faithful to it!
I think I'll record my measurements here in case I lose them from the main page.
Waist - 41
Hips - 50
Tummy - 45
Thighs - 42, 27 each
Arms - 15 each

Today I did the 2 mile WATP and arms and legs. I pigged out on pizza for lunch (4 slices, although two of them were much smaller so it was more like 3) and then my tummy retaliated and I spent half the afternoon in the bathroom. I guess that's what I get for eating like that. I'm having chicken quesadillas for dinner - never put chicken in them before, ususally just tomato, onion and cheese but hopefully they will be good.

Well last night I never go around to working out my arms. I did leg lifts while I was reading my homework (I just lean back in my recliner so I'm almost laying down and it works great). I was planning on working arms after I got done with reading but there was a lot more to do than I thought. I didn't even get through half of it before bedtime. I wasn't so concerned about getting in a separate arm workout once I started WATP since there is a good amount of arm work in there and I found that if I did both I was super sore to the point of not being able to perform daily tasks. Now that the weather is getting nicer/cooler and I'll be able to walk outside I need to get back to working my arms again. I'll try to get to them today.
I was debating whether I should tell Dan about my starting WW. He has been generally supportive about my weight loss but it has been more off and on support so I wasn't sure what he would say about my spending money on WW. He does try to ask me if I exercised each day and he's getting better about offering me treats. I finally did tell him right before bed last night. He wasn't thrilled but he did understand that losing weight is very important to me and that I needed some more structure to my plan. Hopefully he'll be supportive when it comes time for meals. We only eat about 2 dinners and one lunch together in a week b/c of our work/school schedules so even if they aren't the healthiest I will be able to use my flex points for those meals if I have to.
Today I walked another approx 30 minutes outside and finally worked my arms.

Yesterday I did 1 mile (20min) on the treadmill. I really didn't want to b/c I had stuff to do but I talked myself into and read a couple chapters of a book while I was doing it.

Good for you for walking even when you didn't feel like it! I know how that is somedays I have to literally force myself outside to walk - but I always feel better when it's done! Good luck with WW I hope that works out well for you! With all the dedication and motivation you have shown so far I am sure you will do great with WW!

Today I did a half hour on the treadmill for 1.5 miles - 25 mins at 3.0 and 5 mins at 3.5. Boy did I work up a sweat. I wonder if the 3.5 will ever feel as comfortable as 2.5 does now and will be bearable like 3.0 is.

Today I did the WATP evening mile and I plan on doing some arm work since that tape doesn't really do much arm work at all. It's been about a week since I did a WATP tape and boy they don't let you forget how much it really gives you a workout.

Your dedication to getting your exercise is phenomenal!! I'm so proud of you and you must be very proud of yourself!
I hope the WW online is working out for you. Sometimes a little extra help and support can make all the difference in the world!
You seem to be melting away! Those measurements say it all, don't they? I also hope you're feeling healthier and have more energy to tackle your busy days. Keep up the great work!

Yesterday I walked another 1.5 miles on the treadmill. I know it seems I have abandoned WATP but I'm reading a really good book and when I walk is the best time I have to read it.
You all know that I weigh myself every morning and sometimes every night. When I weighed myself this morning it was at 204! I'm not sure I'm going to rely on that until my official WI Sunday but if that is true it means I've hit my first 10% goal and I'm that much closer to onederland.
Today I walked about 2 miles around the neighborhood.
I also tried on some shorts from last summer that didn't fit at all this summer and they fit just fine. I can't wait til they fit like they did last year - I could take them off without unbuttoning or unzipping lol. It's so nice to finally see the changes.

Yesterday I walked to the library - at least a mile. Dan is getting the band flex (kinda like bowflex) so we don't have to join a gym to get toned. I'm so excited!

I walked 2 miles today on the treadmill. I could have walked more, I was in such a good groove, but I forgot to put the ac on first and was sweating buckets and I ran out of water. Still 2 miles was good considering I was thinking of skipping out all together b/c my shoulder/tricep area is killing me. I can't even lift my hand up past my shoulder it hurts so much.

yesterday i did 40mins/2miles on the treadmill. I when I checked my weight this week I was down 1-2lbs which means that I get my new 25lb clippiee! It's not my official WI but when I hit one of those markers I like to claim it right away.

I forgot to weigh in this morning so I'll do that tomorrow. Update - I only lost 1lb this week which was gone early in the week. I think its b/c I didn't drink enough water after going out drinking so I'm still retaining a lot of fluid.
Yesterday I didn't get any walking in but I did spend 3 hrs assembling our new home gym - boy am I sore now. I haven't tried it out yet - I was just too tired after I put it together.
Today I mowed the lawn and worked out on the home gym.

I didn't exercise much last week b/c I was sick. I did manage to get in a 15min walk to the drugstore on Thursday and I did a lot of walking with my mom on Sat. Yes it was only at the mall but it was a lot more moving around than I had been doing previously.

I did 1 mile on the treadmill yesterday.
Monday
Breakfast - peach yogurt 4pts
Lunch - veggie pizza 6pts

Snack - Cup O Soup 1pt
Dinner - Chicken BLT salad 9pts

Lunch - Italian Wedding Soup 4pts
Pretzels 3pts

Snack - Lucky Charms w/1% milk 5pts
Dinner - chicken stuffed shells 10pts
I did another mile on the treadmill. I know that makes 3 days in a row of treadmill rather than mix it up with WATP. I did finish the book I was reading but I a coworker gave me another one that I wanted to start on right away. Oh well, at least some exercise is better than none.
I did have a bit of a break down today though. I ate a second bowl of cereal and some sunflower seeds for an extra 10pts for the day. I'm trying to eat around 26-28 a day and then have my flex points. I know that range isn't exactly right for my weight range but I'm trying to eat at a level I can feel comfortable with for life.
Total points for the day 38 :(

I did WATP Walk Strong for the first time. That was really an intense workout. At the very end she mentions it is like doing 2miles. Well no wonder it was so hard for me, I've only done the 1 mile tapes so far and have only walked 1 mile at a time on the treadmill.

Well today didn't start out so well - I forgot my breakfast at home so now I'm really hungry but I want to try to wait until 1 to eat lunch b/c I have to work at the mall 3-10:30 and I don't know if I'll get a dinner break. Today is also my day to buy lunch in town so I'll have to figure out something safe but I really want a veggie pita with dijon sauce from the salad stop and a small chef salad. i wonder how many points that would be?
Breakfast - sugar free hot chocolate 1pt
Lunch - ham & cheese hoagie 9pts
salad 2pts
Dinner - 1/2 chicken wrap 5pts
ceasar dressing 2pts
small italian wedding soup 2pts
Snack - banana 2pts
Total 23 points
Wow I was under on points for the day - not a big surprise b/c I had to eat dinner at the mall and I finally chose something that was good for me (not like pizza which wouldn't really fill me up). I also only at half but even if I ate the whole thing it wouldn't have been too bad.

Doreen - thanks for visiting again. Some days I don't feel like I'm smaller but I know I am b/c I'm not as tired and don't feel so bloated. I can't wait to lose some more. I'm glad I got back on track.
I've been checking out your journal too - actually it inspired me to get back to mine. You're doing great! And keep up with that training for the 1/2 marathon. I was seriously considering registering but I'm going back to WDW sometime this year (hopefully March) and I know I couldn't go in Jan then. Maybe 2006??

I hadn't planned on any hot chocolate this morning but it was only 60 degrees in my office - they turn the heat down for the weekend and no one turned my heat on this morning. So I got a cup of hot chocolate and sat upstairs until the basement warmed up. I have an interview here tomorrow - they are hiring a new attorney so I applied. I'm not too optomistic about it b/c I won't be able to practice until Nov when the July bar results come out but at least they didn't tell me no thanks without even interviewing me. I'm so nervous and don't know what to wear. It was a very informal set up for the interview since I already work here and the guy who is interviewing me is my boss anyway. I asked if I should wear a suit and he said no, just wear what I usually do. I still want to be dressed up a bit. I think I'll wear black pants, a cream turtleneck sweater and a maroon sueded jacket - that way it looks more dressed up but not quite a suit.

Breakfast - banana yogurt 4pts
Lunch - tuna on italian bread 5pts
banana 2pts
Snack - pretzels 3pts
Dinner - beef pasta 7pts
mashed potato 5pts
green beans 1pt
Total - 27pts
I didn't realized tuna was so low point. I'm trying out one of those pouches instead of a can today. I bought it weeks ago but never used it. I don't have any leftovers since I haven't cooked anything real since last week and the only frozen meals I have are pizza. I guess one of those pouches is like a can, right? If I eat the whole thing I really will be full since I usually make at least 2 sandwiches out of a can. I'm a bit upset that I forgot to grab some chopped onion to put in it. I had some leftover onion all chopped up and ready to go in the fridge too
UPDATE on the Tuna
It was chunk lite in water like I normally buy in the can. It didn't seem like there was as much tuna as in the can even though it says that it works in place of the 6oz can. Oh well, it make one moderately stuffed sandwich with a little leftover which I ate as well. I did use a bit too much mayo - probably only 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp would have been fine and I used 2. I put the mayo in the container I brought from home and then added the tuna at lunch so I couldn't take out any of the mayo. Also would have been good and probably felt like more if I had added onion like I normally do. The tuna itself tasted better than the canned type. It is more expensive since I normally buy my tuna when it is on sale 3 for $1. The packet was at least $1. Since its only 2 points for 1 pouch I could have added a second pouch and probably still used the same amt of mayo and it would have only been 7pts total (still using only 2 slices of bread and eating the extra tuna from the bowl) and I would probably feel fuller.
I'm so nervous about this interview. I know I shouldn't be and whatever happens will happen and if they think I fit the position they'll hire me and if not they won't and it's not because they don't like me. They must like me somewhat since I still have a job here in a different position. Oh well, I just have to believe that whatever happens will be for the best and that it is what is meant to be. I have no control over others actions.
I made it through the interview and I think it went okay. He said he had more inteviews to do and it would be a while (I'm thinking at least a month) before I hear anything either way. He did say I might interview with someone else from the firm. That sounds like good news. The only negative thing he said was that they may want to hire someone with some more exeperience but that hadn't been really decided yet. The only exeperience I have is working here - oh well, it's nothing against me personally.
No workout today. I had really planned on getting another mile in before I went to work at the mall but Dan was home and wanted to eat dinner with me so that's what I did instead of walking. I'll be sure to get in at least a mile tomorrow though.

Hope the tuna is good - I've often looked at those pouches but have never tried them. Let me know how you like it!
Have a wonderful day, Stephanie!! :sunny:

ooooh, the tuna pouches, i think, are much much better than the cans. the cans are much flakier i think? grainier? (can tuna be grainy?) and hte pouch is more tender i think would be the right word. either way, i much prefer the pouch.
sometimes when i just want a small dinner, i'll make a big salad of romaine lettuce, cucumbers, green peppers, and then throw in a pouch of that tuna, and don't forget the 2 tbps of ff ital. 2 points for the whole thing. (if i remember correctly...the pouch is 2 points for the whole thing). deeeeelish! although, my younger brother yells at me for stinking up the house with the tuna! too bad buddy

I did the WATP Yoga tape today. It was 1 mile and then yoga stretching. I expected a little more yoga but I have to remember it is WATP. I thought it was a good workout and a nice change of pace to get in some stretching. I also ordered the Pilates for Every Body book. While I am losing weight and looking better I still feel "fat" and uncoordinated. Hopefully this will help out.
I also went to the grocery store and got several WW Smart Ones meals for lunch since they were on sale. Thanks to everyone for the recommendations. I also took a tip from my salad thread and got some chicken that I am grilling right now so I can have it on my salad tomorrow. I was really thinking when I bought some single serve microwave popcorn for work snacks and some packaged oatmeal to take to work in case I forget my breakfast. I left them in my car so I'm sure they'll get there tomorrow.

Even though I brought yogurt to work this morning I couldn't help trying my new oatmeal. It was really yummy and it was nice to have something warm for breakfast. We'll see if it keeps me full longer (and it's less points). I didn't know my professor was bringing girl scout cookies to class tonight or I wouldn't have eaten the milanos at home. Oh well I had the points for it and I would have been unhappy not eating any cookies. At least I was able to take the cookies and pass the box and never get tempted to eat the rest since they weren't mine.
Thanks Dan for bringing Cinnabons home from the mall. I knew that if I didn't let myself eat a little of it I would go nuts and devour a whole bun if not more. It barely went into my flex but I do feel bad about eating 12pts worth of cookies/dessert.
I did end up doing a mile on the treadie at 10pm since I felt bad about eating all those snacks.
I have got to work on getting up when my alarm goes off and not resetting it. This morning I reset it to get another 1/2 hour of sleep which I really didn't need. I still would have had over 8 hrs of sleep which I'm sure is all I really need.

and the beginner pilates...is that denise austin by any chance? i've done the denise austin, pilates for every body, and thought it was a good workout. those ab work outs are tough!

I weighed in today at 173. My measurements are still the same as the last time I weighed in. Waist 35, Tummy 36, Hips 43.
Breakfast - english muffin w/pb 5pts
Lunch - italian wedding soup 4pts
Dinner - steak 9pts
2 boneless buffalo wings 6pts
mashed potatos 5pts
french onion soup 5pts
garlic toast 4pts
Total 38pts
10 flex points used
I did the pilates thigh and butt routine. Those areas definitely need some work.
I went to Applebee's for dinner and went a little overboard since I hadn't eaten much the rest of the day. Oh well, 10 flex points isn't too bad.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and giving me encouragement or making me feel good about my choices.
Breakfast - nothing, I slept in today since I didn't go to work
Lunch - olive garden soup and salad
Minestrone 4pts
Salad 5pts for dressing but it's probably less
Breadstick 3pts
Dinner - 2 chicken patties 10pts
Snack - 1/2 cinnabon 8pts
Total 30pts
Still no exercise yet. I really have no excuse since I'm home all day today but I bought some new Sims expansion pack games and I wanted to try them out.
I did get off the couch and do 1 mile on the treadmill. And now all the cinnabons are out of the house and I only ended up eating 2/3 of one all week.

I went in to work today. Some of the roads were still pretty bad and they'll only get worse as the day goes on. I'm supposed to work at the mall tonight too untiol 10:30. I'm hoping that they call me and tell me not to come in. Even though we're only supposed to get 3inches of snow down here the ice will be pretty bad by that time and I am so fearful of driving in this weather. I'm hoping to do my Pilates routine again today. My abs are finally not hurting too much so I think I'm ready for another round.
I got to come home from work after being there an hour. It was pretty bad coming home but I took it slow and made it home safely. I hadn't planned on coming home so I had eaten what I thought was going to be dinner but since I was home I ate some soup. Still within points though so not too bad.
No exercise yet. I'm so cold and was too nervous about going to work to get any in before work and now I think I might be too tired. Hopefully I'll get up and do something.

Good morning, Steph! :sunny: I finally made it over to your journal! Thanks for stopping and visiting me; I appreciate your kindness and support.
Isn't it nasty outside? I don't like the idea of you working at the mall tonight. :( Do you carry a cell-phone? Schools up here opened on schedule, but closed at 11 a.m. I'm supposed to teach this afternoon, but I'm not sure if anyone will want to come.
What kind of apple cinnamon oatmeal are you eating for only 2 pts.? I've been making my own special blend :p , but the lowest I can get it to be is 3 points. Give me some pointers here!
I'm sorry about your friend--to have breast cancer at such a young age! I can't even imagine it. I'll pray for her.
Well, I'm off to figure out something for lunch. For some reason, I'm craving egg salad.
Take care,

hey stephanie, good job with the cinnabons! i know it's hard to resist when something you really want is sitting there. personally, i don't like cinnabons, but i have plenty of other vices that call my name :p
that stinks that you had to go into work with the bad weather. i hope you don't have to work tonight...it's only going to get worse. nothing has made it here to jersey yet, but i know it's coming. please be safe if you do have to be out in it! i'll be thinking about you :)

Breakfast - pb oatmeal 3pts
Lunch - WW Turkey & Stuffing 5pts
Snack - popcorn 1pt
cucumber & tomato salad 2pts
Dinner - fish 7pts
roasted potato 8pts
Total - 26pts
I am so hungry today, thank goodness its almost lunch time but I'm not sure how I'll make it until after 7 for dinner (I work at the mall 3-7). I went into the office 2hrs late today. By the time I got on the roads most were pretty good except for the neighborhood roads.
I was so hungry that I got a salad once I got to the mall. It definitely was better than getting pizza or sweets. I was very proud of myself for getting something good for me.
I really NEED to get some exercise in today. I promised myself I'd do 3 days a week of exercise and so far I've only walked once and did the butt/thigh pilates once. I think I'll do pilates tonight and walk before class tomorrow since the walking takes less time. I did shovel the steps and walk at home but that only took about 10 minutes so I'm not really counting that.
Yea! I did the beginner pilates routine again. I'm starting to get familiar with the moves but it doesn't really feel like a workout. I guess it is working though, right? I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow anyway.

Hi, Steph. How's it going today? Why is it some days we're just plain HUNGRY? Do you have any trident gum handy? That always helps me when I get the munchie monster on my back.
Have a good Wednesday, and be careful on the roads. I think the worst is over for awhile. . .

Hey Stephanie!
I now what you mean about just being plain old hungry!::yes:: The gum trick could help, plus it is probably easy enough to get. I like to keep a box of Honey Nut Cheerios at work. 1 cup = 2 pts and boy, that stuff really stays with me and fills me up! Or keep some 0 pt foods in the work fridge, like carrots, celery, broccoli....(just for these kinds of days! )
Well, I hope your day goes well! I'll check back on you later or tomorrow. :wave2:

1/4 chocolate thunder 4pts
Total - 53 pts
Well Dan told me we were going to Outback for dinner since Friends is a rerun. I checked out Dotties site and it looks like I won't have to go into flex too much to have a yummy dinner. I went a bit nuts instead of sticking to my plan. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
I did another mile on the treadmill today, most of it at 3.4 instead of 3.0
I am so glad the week is almost over. Even though I wasn't as busy as usual b/c of the snow it's been hectic anyway. I have off on Sat and I'm only on call on Sun so I'm heading to Atlantic City Friday night after work at the mall.

Well I am all out of flex points and I still have 2 days left. I'm going to try very hard to keep on plan but with eating in AC tonight and tomorrow afternoon and having dinner tomorrow with my mom it might not work out. I will get in a little exercise tonight when I walk from where I am staying to where I'm eating dinner but it won't be that much.
I didn't end up in AC this night. I was halfway there when Dan called so I turned around and about 7miles from home I had a flat tire on the interstate which took over 2 hrs to change b/c of the traffic and cold. I'm headed to walmart this morning to get a new tire and then i'm off to AC for the day and then dinner with mom. I'm still going b/c how I look at it is that if I had continued on to AC I wouldn't have gotten the flat or at least not until Sat afternoon when I was on my way to my mom's house which wouldn't have been on a highway. Plus I'm not gonna let some car troubles ruin my weekend.

hey steph, don't sweat the outback. sure, you went a little overboard, but you're right back on track today. friends being a rerun threw me off too! hate it when that happens. i'm used to watching my tv on thursday nights. oh well, live and learn.
and even though you're going to be going out to dinner, i know that you will be able to make good choices and stay as close to plan as possible. will it be tough turning down the food? heck yes, of course it will! but i know that you can do it. but if you do end up giving in, don't beat yourself up about it. just look forward and move on.
where are you staying in atlantic city? whenever i go down with my parents, we stay at the trop. my dad gambles a bit, so he gets comps (he spends time in vegas too). at the trop, they have this great italian restaurant called "il verdi". oh man. so good.

I'm staying at the opposite end of the boardwalk. I have a comp room at Showboat and some food comps there and at Resorts which is two doors down so I don't planning on spending any money on food, just gambling lol. Hopefully I'll come back on Saturday a little bit richer :goodvibes

Sharon - Dan's not my husband but he's close enough and unfortunately days like this happen more often than I'd like. I'm very proud of myself for not binging today. Marcia I don't know what I'd do without flex points - I guess thats why WW is so easy to follow.
Breakfast - blueberry yogurt 3pts
Lunch - meatloaf 5pts
rice a roni 3pts
Snack - soft pretzel 4pts
Dinner - bagel 5pts
egg salad 5pts
Total - 25pts
Exercise - 1.5 miles in 30min
I gave in today. When I went up to the water cooler to fill up for lunch one of the secretary's had just brought in some hot soft pretzels. They looked so good and I haven't had a good one in a long time. I tried to find a points value for it but since I don't have ww online anymore I couldn't find anything so I'm guessing 4pts. And speaking of ww points, while I was searching for the pretzel points I saw that for my weight I should only be eating 22 points. I've been considering 26-28 okay, eating flex and still losing. I really think if I cut back another 200-300 calories a day I would lose more than 2lbs a week. If I'm still losing should I lower my points that much? I think I'm going to try to stay at 26 this week and count anything over that as part of flex and see what happens after a week or two. If I'm still losing I'll keep it there, if not I guess I'll go ahead and lower my points even more. To be completely honest, the amount of food I'm eating right now and in the past couple weeks has been great - generally not feeling hungry and eating stuff I want to eat, something I could live with. Going down to 22 seems so restrictive considering I don't have time to earn the APs to make it up to the points I've got right now. We'll see how my experiment works and then reevaluate if necessary.

Even though the weather is supposed to be yucky today and I'm swamped at work, I'm feeling great. Over the weekend I bought two new bath towels from walmart (not bath sheets or beach towels). I used my new Winnie the Pooh one last night and I was able to wrap up in it and not expose myself. They used cover my top but at the waist down I always showed some skin - I'm sure some of you know what I mean. I could have walked around the house in that towel without embarassing myself, not that I would but I could have.
I had been planning on doing pilates today but TOM came a day early and I'm feeling too yucky & crampy to stretch. Hopefully I'll get in a mile on the treadmill though. I just finished a 1.6 mile walk on the treaddie. It's amazing how long you will walk if you are trying to finish the last couple chapters in a book.
I planned on having some sort of dessert tonight and I was able to eat 8 cookies and some milk and only use a few flex points. Hopefully this will fend off some TOM cravings/binges.
Tomorrow will be a difficult day. I work from 9:30-3 then 4-10. I'm planning on a WW meal and big salad for lunch and then bring a bagel and something else to eat while I'm at the mall. I really don't want to wait until 10 to eat dinner plus I don't think I'd make it anyway.

that towel wrapping sounds like a major nsv to me :). and i do know exactly what you mean. we have some towels in my house that are smaller than others, and i really hate the ones that "show skin".
and that is quite interesting about your points. it's like you're on the maintanence level (technically, by ww standards), but you're still losing weight. i think that is great! it just means that once you do reach real maintanence, you'll be able to eat even more! i'm so jealous, i'm at 20 points, and i've only lost 1.5 pounds in 2 weeks! (although, i'm losing inches, so i know i shouldn't focus on the number on the scale  ). keep us updated on how the points thing goes. it's very intruiging :scratchin

Marcia and Sharon - I'll definitely let you know how the points thing works out.
Breakfast - peach yogurt 2pts
Lunch - WW turkey meal 5pts
salad w/FF Italian dressing 0pts
banana 2pts
Snack - popcorn 1pt
Dinner - yogurt 2pts

1% milk 2pts
Snack - 2 tagalongs 3.5pts
dried apricots 1pt
Total 27pts - 1flex used 28 remaining.
This means I can either get something while I am at the mall for about 5pts and have a small snack after work or I can wait until I get home and 10 and have something for 9pts. I think it will depend on how hungry I get while I am at work.
No excercise today b/c I just don't have time. Plus I'm doing shipment and a floor set while I am at work so that will be strenuous enough for me.

Uh oh, I had a mini melt down. I got so angry after dealing with parking services at school that I had a cookie binge - 2 big cookies for 5pts each :( And it didn't stop there. I had some chips and some more cookies. Arg!! On the plus side I did do pilates and walked on the treadmill.
I am so proud of myself for using some of my points on real food last night and not just eating lots of cookies.
My arms and shoulders are so sore today. That stuff at work was really heavy. But now the store looks so pretty for valentine's day.
I'm thinking of doing Pilates today before class. I haven't done pilates in a while and I probably should mix up my workouts instead of always walking. I also want to get back into doing my WATP tapes so I can work my arms but that definitely isn't a good idea today since I'm sore.

Thanks for stopping by Sharon and Marcia. On to a new day and hopefully no more binging this week. I did try on the pants I bought from old navy 2 weeks ago again. They are both size 12 and I could get them buttoned and zipped up - woohoo. Still a bit tight though. The jeans are low rise so they feel a bit weird but they were on sale so I couldn't pass them up. I wore them around the house for about an hour last night and they weren't too uncomfortable but I'm definitely not ready to leave the house wearing them. Plus I have a brand new pair of size 14 jeans I'd like to get to wear a few times before I go for the 12's lol.
Breakfast - blueberry yogurt 2pts
Lunch - Lean Cuisine pizza 8pts
Snack - banana 2pts

Dinner - cheese quesadilla 5pts

Exercise - bicep and tricep work
No exercise likely today unless I get a huge burst of energy when I get home from the mall. I work from 10-3 and 4-7 tonight. I'm hoping to get a little shopping done too. Aeropostale is right next to us and they have some stuff that's 50% that I want to buy b/c I'll be able to wear it to WDW. My only dilema is what size to buy  I'm thinking I'll get 12's in the shorts and if I need something smaller by then I can always exchange them. They also have some really cute sheer button down tops and I'm not sure if I should get a L or XL. I still do have a large chest and I don't think it's going anywhere. If anything it's gotten bigger after losing close to 60lbs. I won't have time to try the stuff on so I'll just buy what I think is right and then exchange it later if I have to. I guess I should go with the XL b/c it won't be that bad if it's a bit big but if I get the L and it's too small and they don't have anymore XL left I'll be out of luck. I'm gonna check out their website too to get some more ideas of what to buy.

12's Steph??!! WOO-HOO!:hyper: I can't wait till I can get back into my 12s!!! Forget the new 14s! Just aim for those 12s! Give the 14s to charity and someone will love ya for it!
Don't worry about the meltdown. I've had my share of those this week too. :( We really need to devote some time to overcoming our emotional need to eat the wrong foods! But I am the first to admit, that is REALLY tuff to do. Here's an idea - try to get to the WISH board before you do it. Maybe all the positive stuff on here will give you enough of a pick me up that you won't emotionally need the food. I need to remember to do that myself!
I think your plan for the size clothes to buy is a good one. They usually don't have too many size XL, so it could be hard to exchange up. When is your trip to WDW? Can I come?:teeth:

that is so great that you're fitting into size 12s! i find that for me, even if jeans are a little tight, after you wear them around for a little bit, they tend to give a little more. especially right after they come out of the dryer. my jeans that i've been using as a measuring tool (the ones that don't just yet fit right) i also got from old navy on sale a couple weeks ago...and they're low rise...i have a feeling they may be the same style as mine. and i have some words of wisdom about them! i think they are cut smaller than the regular old navy jeans! because i got a normal pair in the same size, and they fit me! i know they look exactly the same, but htey're just slightly a different/darker color? if you have any idea what i'm talking about and that we might have the same style, i suggest getting (or just trying on) a pair of the normal, not on sale jeans in size 12. i bet you anything they fit better. unless i'm totally off and you have no idea what i'm talking about. ok, that was strictly old navy talk.
as for aeropostale, i agree with sharon, definitely go for the 12s. i wouldn't be surprised if they end up being too big by your trip, but definitely don't go for any bigger! and when (notice i say when, not if :p ) they end up being too big, you can easily exchange for a smaller size.
hope your long work day went well today, and that you got some fun stuff from aero :hyper:

Sharon and Marcia - I got some great stuff from Aero, but no shorts. I didn't like what they had but I got some really nice tops and two cotton/terry pull on skirts that look great even now. I did realize that my upper arms could use some work though since some of the slleeves were snug so I'm going to get back into my arm routine. I did it last night and I'll do it again tomorrow.
Breakfast - lean pocket 3pts

Lunch - italian wedding soup 2pts
Snack - sour cream and onion chips 6pts
Dinner - big bacon classic 13pts
biggie fries 9pts
Total - 35pts, 9 flex used
Exercise - beginner pilates
Today didn't start out to well. I had an aromatherapy launch meeting at the mall at 8am and one of the new blends made me nauseous. What a great way to start the day. So I'm feeling pretty yucky right now and I'll probably have to go into work for 4 hours today since the store is under on hours. :(

I weighed in this morning at 170 so I made my Valentine's goal about a week early. I'm so proud of myself. I really wasn't sure I would make it there in time. Now to set a new mini goal. I want to lose 15 more lbs before I go to WDW at the end of May. That might be a little optomistic but I'm going to go for it anyway. That would put me at 155 - a weight I haven't ever seen as an adult or probably even since middle school.
Breakfast - berry burst cheerios w/1% milk 5pts
Lunch - protein bar 5pts
Snack - soft pretzel 4pts
Dinner - 2 chicken tenders 8pts
french fries and tater tots 6pts

Thanks Marcia, Sharon and Judy. I love being able to share these accomplishments with people who really know how much they mean to me.
I really should have gotten some walking in yesterday but I went to AC for the afternoon - lost all my money but had a great time - and by the time I got home and ate dinner I was too tired to do anything more than some upper body weights. Today I plan on doing pilates again since I won't have time for anything else b/c of class.
Breakfast - peach yogurt 2pts
hot chocolate 1pt
Lunch - lean pocket 6pts
banana 2pts
Dinner - ravioli 4pts

Snack - cookies 6pts
Total - 27pts, 1 flex used, 29 flex remaining
Exercise - beginner pilates routine, 1.2 miles on treadmill
I was a bad girl today. I didn't go to class today. I wish I was as motivated about going to class as I am about weight loss and exercise. I ended up taking an hour and a half nap instead. I guess I needed some more sleep. Oh well. Hopefully I'll get in some walking tonight too.

Sorry I missed everyone's journals yesterday. It was a very busy day at work, today doesn't look any better plus I have class. Hopefully later tonight I'll be able to catch up after I watch Friends.
Today is definitely better. My mom finally agreed to let Dan come with us to WDW in May and it looks like we will be able to stay at the Wilderness Lodge instead of PO. I love my mom so much! and I'll treat her to WL for taking me - she's never stayed at a deluxe before and it's only $600 more than what we are paying already. I'm so excited!! I can't wait to make ps's and get our airfare. Its only a little over 3 months away :hyper: :hyper: Can you tell I'm excited???
Oh today we put the deposit down on the vacation and we are staying at WL! This weekend I'm going to get the airfare so we are definitely going.
Breakfast - strawberry yogurt 2pts
I'm not even going to try and figure out the rest of my points for the day. I went a bit crazy. I didn't pack my lunch so I got takeout then they gave all of us valentines candy at the office and then more candy at class so today is just totally off plan. I promise to get right back on track tomorrow though.
Exercise - upper body weights, 1 mile treadmill.

Another busy day at the office followed by shipment at the mall. I have no desire to do any work either - oh well. I did just get an extension on one of my projects so that is good but I also got a rush order on another. Guess what, I'm not starting anything new until next week so too bad.
It's Dan's birthday on monday so he is going home to see his mom on sun-tues. I think that is for the best since he works sun during the day and I work sun night, he has off on mon but I have work and classes til 9:30. I wouldn't be able to celebrate with him anyway. I didn't buy him anything although I did pay for his plane ticket to orlando. yup booked that today and got a great rate due to usair battling with southwest. Now the vacation really is set and will happen. Now I just need to focus on staying OP with food and exercise so that I will look wonderful for the trip. My goal is to lose another 15 lbs - putting me at 155 for the trip. I've probably said that before but the more I keep telling myself the more it will stick in my head to meet it. It is 14 weeks from this Sunday which means I need to lose approx 1lb per week, definitely doable. If anyone who reads this is good with spreadsheets and could make up some sort of daily grid (I know kamy had one before) so that I can track on paper what I do each day for each week exercise wise and staying OP for my points it would help me too and I'd be ever so grateful. If not I'll play around with excel when I'm bored and see if I can come up with something.
In one week my best friend is visiting from DC for the weekend so I really need to clean the house this weekend. I did some good tidying up this week but I still need to vaccuum and find a place for some of the junk on the floor in the computer room and living room. I really am not a very organized/neat person but I don't live in filth lol. I know she doens't really care but those rooms need a good cleaning anyway. If I'm really motivated I'll clean my bathroom (the girls bathroom) so it will be fresh for her to use.
Breakfast - blueberry yogurt 2pts
Lunch - veggie pita 5pts
small chef salad 5pts
Dinner - chinese 15pts
Total - 27pts, 1 flex used,
Dan wants me to meet him for chinese after work so who knows how many points I'll end up using on that. I'll definitely be dipping into flex (I didn't count yesterdays mess as using flex, just a completely off day). Tomorrow will be easier for me to stay within regular points.
I'll also try to catch up with journals this weekend. RIght now my mind is obsessed with trip planning and lots of questions from my mom and brother about making ps's.

Thanks for stopping by Marcia and Erin. I love it when you visit :)
Hi my name is stephanie and I'm a shoe-a-holic. I bought two new pairs of shoes yesterday and neither matches the new suit I bought which was the reason I went shoe shopping. Oh well. I did buy a tan suit from New York & Co. It looks great on me but I do need to shorten the skirt as usual. The jacket is a 14 and unless my chest shrinks a lot in the next few months, that size will be fine even though my pants size will be smaller. I got the pants in a 14 which is fine and the skirt in a 12 which I can acutally zip up but is a bit snug. I did want to get part of it I can wear now and something to wear later. I think I'll be okay with the 14's for a while anyway - just as long as they don't get too big and baggy. When the city cash days come up I'm going to get another suit in navy and a new blazer in black. Now to find a job to wear this to.
Breakfast - berry burst cheerios w/1% milk 5pts
Lunch - ham and cheese hoagie 10pts
chicken noodle soup 3pts
baked lays 5pts
Snack - baked lays 4pts
Total - 27 pts
Exercise - upper body weights
It looks like I'll be using up all my flex today - that's okay since my week starts over tomorrow. I still haven't done pilates and I have 2 hours before I have to go to work. My back is killing me from housework this morning so I might just skip pilates today.

Hi Steph! New York & Co has been like my new favorite store lately!:p What a great idea to get the suit in pieces like that so you can wear parts of it now and parts of it later! Excellent planning!::yes:: And I've got some City bucks to use end of month too. That suit thing sounds like a good plan! I just might have to try it.

hi shoe-a-holic stephanie, nice to meet you :wave2: :p
that new suit sounds fabulous! i agree with sharon, good idea to get different pieces in different sizes. i'm just too cheap to buy anything until i'm at the size i want to be. so i'm swimming in my current clothing (except for the one pair of jeans my mom bought me). your approach is much smarter than mine :)
and if flex starts over, did you have weigh in? any good results to report? i hope so :)

Thanks for stopping by. I really can't wait to wear my suit. I just have to come up with a reason to wear it.
Sunday - I didn't weigh in before I ate so I put it off til monday
Lunch - cheese ravioli 9pts
Snack - baked lays 2pts
Dinner - cheese quesadilla 5pts
italian wedding soup 4pts
Snack - assorted candy, cookies, chips 10pts (this was while at the almanac at work and I did a lot better than I thought I would)
Total - 30pts, 4 flex used, 31 remaining
Exercise - beginner pilates
Monday - I weighed in this morning and I either lost 1lb or gained 5lbs. Gotta love that stupid scale. I'm hoping for the 1lb loss since that is also what it showed on sat and thur and fri showed no gain or loss at all. I'll check again tomorrow before I make it official.
Breakfast - peach yogurt 2pts
Lunch - healthy choice meal 6pts
soft pretzel 3pts
Snack - cucumber 0pts
sunflower seeds 6pts
Dinner - chicken noodle soup 4pts
pretzels 3pts
Total - 24pts although it probably is closer to 26 b/c I guesstimated on some of the points for the day
Exercise - 1 mile treadmill, upper body weights

02-16-2004, 04:44 PM
silly scale, lost 1 or gained 5? man, that's a huge difference, i think your scale needs a kicking too! but i'm sure it meant the 1 pound loss and that it will tell you that when you recheck tomorrow ::yes::
like usual, you're doing great with the points. and i'm drooling over the idea of ravioli and quesadillas. mmmm. if i didn't have dinner planned out already... :p
good luck with "official" weigh in tomorrow, and do let me know if the scale doesn't cooperate (although we are expecting that it will of course), because we will need to set up an official scale kicking :teeth:

Okay well it looks like I did lose 1lb this week but...I found out my scale was off by 5 lbs so I actually weigh 5lbs more than I thought I did. Oh well - I still have lost the same amount of weight. I'm going to check out digital scales when I get done work today so I'm not going to change my stats in my sig until I get the more accurate reading off of the new scale. This loss means I'm only 1lb from my new clippiee though! Woohoo!
We are having a luncheon at work today in celebration of settling a multimillion dollar case. I know I shouldn't go crazy but in the past year I have put a lot of hours in on this case and am really happy it won't be going to trial b/c that would be so much more work so I want to celebrate. I have no idea what food will be there since the client is catering it for us. He's a really great guy, plus he just found out he's getting paid several million dollars.

Steph - It definitely sounds like its time to replace that scale! I had to adjust my starting weight about 3 weeks into my WW because my old scale was wrong as well. I have to tell you, my new one is much more accurate and reliable. Don't worry about your weight being higher than you thought. Think about what size clothing you are wearing now!:teeth: And the scale is moving in the right direction, so no worries there either!
Hope you did okay at your luncheon. Sounds like it might be sound difficult choices for you. I'm sure you did fine and enjoyed it to boot!

I wasn't able to handle myslef too well yesterday. There was just too much good food but there are some leftovers today at the office and I will make good choices about what is leftover, including eating up some of the salad. Dinner from KFC also didn't help but that was what Dan was hungry for and I didn't feel like making something else for me. Also no exercise and I wasn't able to pick up a new scale. I think I'll hit target after work at the mall tonight and get that taken care of. I really need to catch up on exercise today. I'm going to try and do both pilates and walk 1mile. I have a feeling I'll run out of flex this week too since my best friend will be visiting this weekend and I'm sure we'll eat out both friday and sat. Oh well, we are going to take a walk though either sat or sun so that should help.

Thanks for all the support sharon and marcia. It means a lot to me.
So my first day at home is going well. I got up without the alarm this morning. Isn't it odd how its a chore to get out of bed when you have to get to work but you can easily get up at the same time on a day when you don't have to get up that early. I finished cleaing up the front room and put blankets and pillows on the futon. I also cleaned up the bathroom and some of my bedroom (not much though) and did a load of towels. I also got my mile in. On the bad side, I went to the mall and bought some stuff I don't really need and ate at Ruby Tuesdays. I did exchange some of my cash for disney dollars - that way I won't be able to spend it before vacation and I'll be sure to have some $$ to buy some treats too.
I also gave the final flight details to the limo company. I don't know if I told you guys but I am surprising my mom, brother and dan with a limo to take us to and from the WL and airport in Orlando. I can't wait to ride in the limo. It will be so much fun!

I forgot to tell you all a story from this weekend. We were out shopping and I figured it was about time I got another bra fitting since I hadn't had one since before losing all this weight. I was really thinking that I had gotten smaller but boy was I wrong. I'm still a 38-40DD. At least I won't have to buy smaller bras lol.
I was inspired by Erin sharing her 2 mile time to push myself a little harder today. I did 2 miles in 37min. It felt really good to push myself a bit.
Breakfast - 3 buckwheat pancakes 4.5pts
Lunch - healthy choice meal 6pts
Dinner - bagel 5pts
soft pretzel 3pts
Snack - peanut butter egg 4pts
tuna fish 3pts
Total - 25.5
Exercise - 2 miles treadmill, upper body weights

Stephanie, here's a  for your new day. I hope things are going OK for you this morning. Today I'm going to walk a mile on the treadmill--do you have any walking plans? :hyper:
I'm so impressed with how you're eating and staying on plan, but make sure you hit your target, OK?
Here's some :sunny: to follow you around on this snowy day--

Oh, I forgot to share this story.:p I've never been fitted for a bra before, but I've been wearing 38DD or DDD, whatever fit in the store. So, I was thinking the same as you--I MUST be a smaller size now! I measured under my bust and was a 34 and thought, WOW, now I'm a 34DD! But then I went to the Lands End and Victoria's Secret websites for their instructions on how to measure, and I'm the same darn size as I was before!!! Geesh, give me a break!!!!!

that's too funny about the bra stories. but steph, you're right, at least this way, you don't have to spend more money on new bras! well, unless of course, you want to treat yourself to new ones. then by all means :p
great job pushing yourself during your walk. it's a great feeling to go a little harder, once you're done, that endorphin rush, that feeling of accomplishment, it's just wonderful :). and you know it's good for you too!
hope you have another great day :sunny:

Good morning Erin, Sharon and Marcia! It's so funny how some women say they loose weight in their chests first but apparently not for us lol. Oh and I did end up eating some tuna last night to get in some more protein and not be so short on points.
So far the day is going well. I didn't get up as early as I wanted to but as soon as I got up I put a load of laundry in and did 2mile WATP. I didn't use the weights b/c I had jsut worked upper body yesterday. I need to get in some pilates today too before work at 7 but I have all afternoon to get that done.
Breakfast - berry burst cheerios w/ 1% milk 4pts
Lunch - burger w/fries 20pts
Snack - ice cream bar 4pts
Dinner - manwich w/fries 7pts
Total - 35pts, 2 APs used, 7 flex used, 28 flex remaining
Exercise - 2mile WATP
Okay today was not such a great food day but we went out to lunch and I really was hungry since I wasn't planning on being out that long. I also realized I should be eating my APs before I go into my flex so this week I'll start doing that.
honeymo78
02-25-2004, 10:15 PM
Today I still haven't exercised. I really should get back into my pilates but somehow I'm just not motivated to do it.
Brunch - eggs, potato, pancake 18pts
Dinner - cheese quesa 5pts
Snack - 2 pretzels 6pts
Total - 29pts, 3 flex used, 25pts
EDIT - I did get up and do my new strechie band exercise tape. It was only 15 minutes but I wanted to take yesterday light since the two previous days I more intense workouts.

Steph,
Don't beat yourself up about the exercise. You'll know when the time is right. Set a small goal. Maybe just once per week. Then go from there. Have a great day.:sunny:

Hi Steph-
Okay, just take it slow. You've got other issues your dealing with right now, so don't be too hard on yourself this week. Heres a WISH :grouphug: for you. We are all here for you!
Alright, you need to set small goals for yourself. You did get the exercise in the other day, so missing yesterday wasn't so bad. Maybe set a certain time each day that you will exercise. It is hard to adjust to being home more. The schedule doesn't work out quite as easy as you would think. Treat the exercise like a job and say that at 10:00 am you will do it.
Above all, take care of YOU Steph! Your worth it! :teeth:
Have a great day!:sunny:

Today I was really busy. Dan had an interview for a higher paying job and I got a call today to interview for a center city law firm. I could really use some pixie dust for this - it would be perfect for me this spring since its only 15-20 hours a week for tax season only and it pays twice what my old job did.
Breakfast - peach yogurt 2pts
Snack - 2 slices deli ham 1pt
Lunch - cheese quesa 5pts
Dinner - chinese food 18 pts
Snack - smart ones cone 2pts
pretzels and pb 5pts

Thanks hlane, sharon and marcia for the good vibes for the interview. I'll be sure to let all of you know how it goes.
So on to the food - being at home all day with Dan is killing me (he works evenings). I forgot how much he likes to eat out. So once again we went out for lunch and now I'm making up for it while he is at work so I don't end up using all my flex in one day. Hopefully we'll get into a routine with me being home during the day so that I can stay on track.
I did get in my exercise - 2 miles in 38min, a bit more leisurely than yesterday. And this weekend and the beginning of next week is supposed to be gorgeous so hopefully that will mean some walking outside.
Lunch - burger and fries 20pts
Snack - ice cream 8pts
Dinner - salad 0pts
Snack - popcorn 1pt
misc snacks 5pts
Total - 34 pts, 2 aps used, 6 flex used, 17 remaining

Breakfast - oatmeal w/banana and pb 5pts
Snack - popcorn 2pts
Lunch - beef noodles 10pts

Snack - cookies and milk 6pts
I don't remember exactly what I ate but I stayed within my flex pts for the week

Thanks for your good vibes and pixie dust Sharon, Marcia and Doreen. I'm glad I can be an inspiration to you Sharon. All of your kind words about my progress really meant a lot to me today.
I think the interview went well. I really clicked with the interviewer and she said that personality was a large part of the hiring decision. It would be perfect for me right now too. It is only guaranteed work until May with the possibility of the summer and more. Plus I would be doing exactly what I want to do when I am in practice so this would be great work experience. I'll know one way or the other on Wednesday since they are trying to fill the position quickly. Whoever they hire would start next week. I'll keep you posted. Either way will be fine with me - if I get it that is great but if not, I wasn't really planning on getting a job right now so no big deal.
Thanks again ladies - hearing someone else say I'm doing a good job really brightened my day. TOM came 2 days early so I wasn't in such a great mood today but reading my journal really made me feel much better.

Thanks Sharon, Doreen, Marcia, Judy and Erin for all the well wishes on the job interview. I'm still waiting - I'll probably give them a call today or tomorrow morning and see what's up. I won't have time to stop by journals much today but tomorrow I should be able to catch up.
Okay, I finally came up with some goals for March
1) Take my vitamins - I'm really bad at this one
2) Drink at leat 4 mugs of water
3) Exercise - walk 1 mile 3 times a week, pilates once a week, weights twice a week
4) Stay within points of course
So far I have been good with all of them except for doing pilates but I still have 3 days to get that in.
Breakfast - banana 2pts
Okay I definitely didn't stick with my points goal today and I didn't exercise. I kinda just kept grazing but I don't think I ate over my remaining flex points so I didn't ruin it for the week.

Hi Erin, Doreen, Lisa and Sharon. Well I think the decision about the job has been made, I just don't know what it is yet. I called this afternoon to see what was going on and she told me they hadn't decided. Well I get home from working at the mall and there's a message from about 5pm from her saying to give her a call. Now I just have to wait to hear back from her - hopefully this weekend.
I finally did pilates for the week. I'm not sure why I always put it off because it definitely is refreshing and I feel good afterwards. I guess walking is just easier for me to be motivated to do.
I peeked a look at the scale this morning. I was happy to see it showing a loss of 2lbs. I really hope that loss will stick around until weigh in on Sunday.
