Hoop Dee Doo Answers

We just returned from our trip and we did go to Hoop Dee Doo. I picked up the tickets at Guest Relations at our hotel the day we checked in. The table was on the ticket and I made our reservation one year in advance and we were seated at table 12. It was not based on when we arrived at Pioneer Hall. There were tons and tons of people there before us. It was based on when we made the reservation. We were right next to the stage.

It was AWESOME!! My DH was picked to be in the show. What a Ham!!!

Glad you had fun! I know we appear to be crazy about the early planning, but I'm with you! The earlier you get those PS's the better the seat! I made my Luau PS 16 months out - I better be sitting ON the stage! LOL!

I took video of DH, but I am sure it's shaking all over the place because I was laughing so hard. On the way back to the boat to MK a lady thought he was a plant because he was so good at his part. It was a blast. We had a wonderful time. I was worried about my DS nearly 12 and he laughed louder than any of us.

I want to go back!!!

We've been there 4 times and I love it! The first time we were seated right next to the stage and it was a blast! On the one occasion we were seated upstairs (someone joined our group, making it necessary to amend our reservation), I did not enjoy it quite as much, but it was still a lot of fun. I'm glad they base the seating based on reservation time. I always remind my friends to plan ahead and they won't be disappointed with their seating arrangement.

The one thing that also stands out about the last time we went (in 1999) is that it was absolutely freezing in the room! It was very warm outside (mid-September), but the a/c felt like a real arctic blast! The next time I will defintely bring a jacket! ;)

I wonder why - the last time we went - the Guest Relations lady asked us where we wanted to sit? I told her "front and center" and we ended up with the table right in front of the stage! She told me they assign the tables when you pick up your tickets!

Weird. I guess you get different answers, depending on who you ask!

My DH is going to make a clip of the video tape that I took so I can send it to our family over the internet. I can't wait to watch it again. They did take a picture of him up on stage and gave it to him.

We've only been back a day and I want to go back!!!!
