EPCOT on Aug 15 JUST to ride Mission:SPACE? If you were 3.5 hours away, would you? Thanks.

I'd like to say that I would, but in reality, probably not.
If you have to allot 7 hours of your day to driving time, and may have some wait time for this attraction (even with FastPass), you've spent a large percentage of your day for just this one attraction.
No chance of being able to stay for the week-end? And if you didn't make the trip, how long would you have to wait for the next opportunity??

Well - I would - but I am a fanatic and crazy like that. . .
If I lived anywhere in Florida - I would be at the parks at least two -three times per month - more if I lived an hour or so away from the World.

I would absolutely go!:D I really wish I lived in Florida and could make that short road trip frequently.

Are you crazy? Regardless of the ride I would always go to Disney if given the chance , no matter what the reason. The ride opening is just an added benefit. We live about 5 hours away and went down on the spur of the moment one Friday night and spent Saturday in Epcot and drove back Sunday morning. GO Go GO!!

I would leave Thursday afternoon, and spend Thursday night, and leave Friday around 4:00pm. Also I would be going by Train or Bus, as DH is not going, nothing for HIM to do there! My biggest worry is not being able to ride it due to not being open, or the line too long. I HAVE to be back to work on Saturday, as no-one else to do my Job!

I probably wouldn't do it either, Faith, especially if I lived that close.

Yes, I would definitely go. Even if you didn't get to ride Mission Space, at least you would be there and could run around without having to drag anyone around with you. Then you could do any of the rides you wanted to. I guess I just wish I could be that lucky, I live at least 12 hours away. Very long drive for a short stay!!! :(

I'd do it, but I'd probably wait until the 16th...just incase there is an unusually large crowd as a result of the debut.

I would wait and go later. There are going to be a TON of people there that day. I would say wait it out a little bit and go in the beginning of September. That way, it is a little cooler, lines are shorter and you would be able to get more than one ride on M:S in!
Unless of course you have an AP, then I say go on August 1-3 for the passholder preview!!

Looks like I will try later, as suggested.;) It is a BIT MUCH to go for not even a WHOLE day! Thanks again.
