Don't get me wrong, I love my DH but don't think I want do it again. We've been married 15½ years.

Just popping in to say Hi!
A vow renewal sounds great to me. DCL did a great job on my oldest daughter's wedding last month. I think they do the renewals onboard the ship, though...not at a port. Anna, we're pretty close to each other (AZ).

Hi everybody! Back from a couple days travel in Fort Worth. I joked that I got temperature cycled! It was about 40 when I left here, and 91 in Texas! Oh well, I lived in the meeting room anyway so didn't get too much heat exposure.
Welcome to just me stace. Our DD will be nearly 13 on the cruise, and our son will be 11. Sounds like a kids meet to me!

Haven't checked in a while and now there's a wine party! Who is organizing that? We love wine, count us in. New Mexico has some decent wine (so I hear), but I think we will pretend to be from Australia or California, so we can bring something really good. So we order the cheese plates from room service, and then bring them to the party? Deck 7 aft sounds good, would hate to overwhelm someone's cabin. I wonder if DCL would help us out with tables, if we say we are the DIS boards group, and have 30 people or so? I doubt they would let us bring our own wine to the piano bar (Sessions?), but wouldn't that be a great place?
Well, I couldn't wait until next Christmas, so we have booked a last minute cruise for this Christmas. 10 days on Celebrity, Western Caribbean. It cost 40% of the price of the Disney cruise, though it's ocean view instead of balcony. From what I can see on Travelocity, etc, it looks like Category 6 is sold out for the Disney cruise. Diana

Hi all!
Just checking in. I usually read the posts everyday but do not reply a lot.
tinkfan - congratulations on the upgrade. We are still waitlisted like a lot of other people, just keeping our fingers crossed.
gaRry - we have the royal suite for our cruise in April but unfortunately we have not been able to get it for the Christmas cruise. We are still keeping our fingers crossed. If anyone wants to contemplate going on the April 10, 2004, cruise we would be happy to host a wine party in Walt's suite.::yes::

You can pretend to be from Australia - i love Australian wine.
As gaRry said, I started the whole 'bottles must have cork' conversation. Corks are much classier than screw-offs.
gaRry, Why couldn't we have more than 1 wine party?!? :hyper: From the amount of people talking about wine, looks like we will have more than enough bottles for more than one party.
Wonder if we could get Studio Sea for an hour or so one afternoon? That is a thought. I don't think it's booked for every hour each day.

Welcome Jay and Stacey. This is an awesome thread with wonderful people . I am the one setting up the Brunch at Palo's one day while we are at sea. If you are intrested just e mail me at gail17@optonline.net with your cabin number and last name. I know it is a long way off but it is fun to plan ahead and I have a folder quite full with others attending this brunch.
We also could not wait for a cruise fix until 12/18/2004. We booked a 10 day sailing on Celebery Summit Feb. 13 to Feb. 23rd.( no children) It sails the southern caribbean. We are also sailing out of New York next summer on the Voyeager of the Seas (with Children). That will be nice since we only live about an hour form NYC. My 2 year old talks about Mickey all the time. He will be so excitied for the Disney cruise as well as my daughter.
Hi Karyn, I have not heard form you in a while. Did you get my last e mail??? Hope all is well.
Have a great week everyone. Gail1771::MinnieMo

I said 30 people because I have no idea how many will show up! One of the first sea days would be a good time to do a wine party, since it will be a good "get acquainted" activity to get to know people you may not meet at brunch. I thought deck 7 sounded good because we can stay out there as long as we like. Though Studio Sea or Sessions would be nicer if the weather isn't cooperating. I have no idea if DCL would help us with this. I know that Celebrity hosts Cruise Critic parties when they have more than 25 people signed up for a particular cruise through that web site, seems like Disney would be willing to do something too. Maybe someone that's working with a full service TA can ask? Yes, GaRy, we do get wine in NM. It's because we're closer to CA! Diana

:chat: WOW! And I thought I talked alot...this group is really full of chatters. I have been trying to catch up....and I'm only on page 17! I feel like I'm missing so much :(
And now We'll be leaving for 12 days, and I'll miss even more!
I haven't come across this yet, and I'm dying to know....any guess as to how many formal nights there will be? I'm wondering specifically how many nights my DH & DS will need tuxes. (I am secretly planning my new wardrobe, but operating under the tux query).
As looney as I am, I'd be out shopping now, but am still on a weight-reduction/excercise plan, and hopefully will be smaller by then.
Heading for Jamaica & Bonaire Thursday...don't know if I'll "talk" to you all before then.....whatever plans you make, just automatically count us in, we're up for anything!! (Okay, maybe not anything ).

Hi all!
Things are so hectic around here, I've been reading, but not posting. Sorry, that's no excuse.
I had lunch with Mary yesterday. I still want to meet the other cruisers in this area before we leave in the winter. Maybe we can arrange something.
Yes, Mary, you can come to the wine tasting even if you don't drink. Sounds like we might need some designated drivers - to help us find our rooms afterward! Just bring along a bottle or two of Lake Michigan water!
I got a sneak preview of the next newsletter - it is great! Please write in w/ cruise pictures and info for Mary. She's getting tired of looking at pictures of herself!
Stacey, we all want to know those details! How many formal nights, how many brunches, new shows, special menus . . . . When do you think we'll find out about any of this?
Well, my inlaws (bless them!) are coming out today for a couple of days to help w/ some of the projects and the packing - so sigh, I need to do a little cleaning up as well as everything else. So I gotta get back to it.
A grey rainy fall day in Chicagoland (get used to it Karyn, what do you think Seattle is like?) a good day to dream of Ocean Wraps, the Rainforest and Castaway Cay!
Cheers!
Karyn

Just to clarify one thing Karyn said - I'm not getting tired of looking for pictures. I think you all must be getting tired of looking at pictures of Mark and I.
The newsletter will hopefully be up tonight - need help from DH in loading it.

Mary, GUILT, GUILT, GUILT! I keep meaning to send you pictures! Of course, I keep meaning to download and make CDs of the same set of pictures for my mom and in-laws, but haven't done it (we're talking since August here!) When I get to it, I'll send one of my son at the top of the Blue Glacier (a 39.6 mile round trip backpacking hike he took this summer with DH and another set of scout friends!). Proud mommy here!
We'll figure out some kind of wine to bring for the tasting. It was fun on deck 7 the last time. Remember the sunscreen though! It was hot! That was the only sunburn I got on that trip, cause I wasn't thinking of being out in the sun (yes, I do have those kinds of brain hiccups!).
Stacy, have fun on your trip! I think the inaugural western cruise thread was about this big when I joined it, and it took about 3 days of reading to get through everything (at the time, I was home with a sick kid, so that was pretty much non-stop reading!)

Well I posted this once and it didn't take so I'm trying again.
No guillt to anyone. Just didn't want this to become the Mark and Mary show where every opinion was mine and every picture was from us.
Lisa gave me some great feedback on Key West and Lynda did a really nice job of sharing her story about Cash.
If I sound ungrateful or unhappy I'm not. I love doing the newsletter and planning for this cruise.
Sorry if my message came across differently. :(

New Mexico has some great wines. We went to several Balloon Feistas and fell in love with Gruet. They make a great Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine. The winery is in Albuquerque. We liked it so much that we had to import some to California for our wedding.
I haven't read every posting, but it doesn't appear that there are many Californians in the group. Anyone out there?

Hey Ken, we're close...we're in AZ.
Mary, I guess I must have "missed the boat" again.....what kind of pictures would you like, and how can we send them? I AM the Picture Queen!! ::yes::
Get this, we're leaving for what should be a totally fantastic beach vacation day after tomorrow, and I'm dreaming about this cruise! Such a weirdo.
We don't drink wine as a rule, but if someone wanted to twist my arm really (not) hard........ I just don't think Arizona is famous for its wine. We do have a local brewery in our little town....Crazy Ed's.....he makes Chili Beer. Will that suffice?
Gotta run for now, ciao!!

Stacey, I think any beverage will do - just join in and have fun. Oh yeah, and eat cheese and crackers from the room service trays that will be ordered. Can we order chocolate chip cookies too?!? I know gaRry, I'm getting really pushy with the food and the 'wine bottles must have corks' :teeth:
Mary, sorry I haven't sent a picture of us - I must confess, I haven't even looked yet to find a recent one. I haven't even had the pictures developed from WDW in August.
The next week and a half will be really busy around here: I have my wrist operation Monday and Friday we sign our contract to build a new house  Very scary and exciting.

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted check in. Sorry I havent been posting lately. Hey Mary, if you need any help, dont hesitate to ask me. I told my mom about the pictures, she is finding one from our last cruise to send to you. I might have to find one of the family for her since it seems she is always busy.
Hey Krpos: Were in south Orange County, right south of Rancho Santa Margaria in Ladera Ranch. So how close is the first to you? Its not dangerously close to use yet but we got the dumb smoke and ash everywere. Talk to all of you guys later. We are going to WDW in only 2 more weeks! I am getting so happy.

Mary, I didn't mean that you were creating the guilt trip. When I re-read my post, I can see how it looked that way. I've got to remember that typing isn't the same as talking.
So when you read the guilt, guilt, guilt imagine me in a very theatrical pose saying it! I was mainly poking fun at myself!
As I've said before, you do a great job helping everyone here get to know each other and I really appreciate it.
Take care! Lisa

As promised the November issue of the newsletter is up! Thanks to my wonderful DH Mark (I write the thing, but get lost every time I have to upload) :D
Hope you all enjoy it!
Haven't started working on the directory yet.
If you would like your family picture in the directory (so we can all see each other) e-mail it to me in .jpg format (and the smaller the better).
If you can't get you photo to me by e-mail but still want to have it included we'll be happy to scan it for you. E-mail me and I'll send you my address.
If you have anything you would like included in the newsletter (like Lynda did with her story of Cash) I would be happy to include it.
Next issue will feature St. Martin. So if you have anything you would like to add on this port drop me a line. Did you have a favorite excursion? Did you do something on your own that you want to share? Include photos if you want.
Thanks everyone! Hope you enjoy this latest edition.

Wonderful newsletter again, Mary. Really enjoyed your synopsis of ship activities, and the article about Cash. Will have to keep reminding my DD that he's not to be petted! I've sent a pic of my DD, use it when you have space if you like. You'll probably be inundated now.
Ken, I think a little sparkling wine would be wonderful at a wine tasting! I'll look into bringing along some Gruet. We usually buy our wine in FL, but we'll figure out a way to get it there. Diana

We always enjoy a little sparkling wine during the sail away party. The on board Ironhorse Faire Tail Cuvee is some of the best around. But for the price difference, you could have 3 bottles of Gruet. As the date gets nearer, we will have to talk about obtaining some Gruet.

Hello Everyone!
We are finally back from our WDW trip and the 10/18/03 cruise. The ship is nice and spiffy clean and the two new areas Diversions and The Cove coffee bar are really nice!
Checked with Donna on board about getting the $200 on board ship credit for the cruise and she was able to get that for us. Every little bit helps!
Saw Beano and friends. I tried to talk him into joining us but he has now booked a 4-day for the 4th of July 2004 as well as his usual October cruise. :(
We had a champange party in Beano's cabin and from what I can remember it was great!
The crew that I talked with are pretty excited about the 10 day.
I'll post again soon!

I was wondering if the secret deck 7 wine tasting venue was marked on the cruise brochure deck plan? (some secret, huh?). We've been assigned to a cabin on deck 7, within crawling distance of a large white area located on the very tip end of the bow, and thought how convenient if that was the "secret deck". Anyone able and willing to clue me in?

Lynda, you have indeed found the secret deck! When you go all the way to the back there is a door that leads outside- that is the secret deck. It is right near our room and I know you said you aren't far from us.
Diana - we got that e-mail too. Looks really nice. I definately think we'll be speding time in the cove cafe. Looks like a nice place to get on the internet!
OM-thanks for changing the title of the thread. I agree that if everyone does that it will make it much easier!

Good luck with the surgery JillJill.
Sad news in our household. A long time friend of my husband is very ill. Last Wed evening he came home from work and sat down on the couch. He told his wife "Please turn down the TV, it's too loud". When she turned around, he was having a seizure. Long story short, he had a severe heart attack (potentially caused by extremely low potassium levels due to a lasix imbalance), and now they believe he is brain dead. They will do more tests for the next several days, but will have to make a decision re: life support within the week. He's in his early 40s and has a 12 year old son. My DH is obviously upset by this. It does strike close to home. Prayers and pixie dust would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, Lisa, that is so sad! I've never heard of that, is Lasix a medication? Diana
tkd lisa
11-03-2003, 01:15 PM
Diana: Yes, lasix is a diuretic (sp?, basically it's a water pill) that they often give heart patients. My FIL had a similar thing happen to him this fall, but they caught it much quicker. In fact, he had just gotten out of the hospital when we were able to talk them into joining us on the cruise.
Latest update, I just talked to our friend's wife. She said that the last sedative is out of his system and he's still showing no signs of waking up. They took another EEG and are waiting on the neurologist to give them the results.
For her prayer request (this broke my heart!!) she asked us to pray that if he's not going to wake up, that when they turn off the life support, he goes quickly. She said "I just couldn't stand it if we turned of the life support, and he just laid there, alive, but not Steve." I sure wish we could be there, not 600 miles away. Not that we could do anything, but it's tough.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers. Lisa

Dear Lisa, I am so sorry to hear what happened to your Husband's close friend. Prayers are coming your way.
Hi Jill, I hope you are feeling better today.
I am also having surgery this Thursday. I have a small mass( not cancerous) in my sinus cavity and also a large cyst that has to be removed. I have had 9 acute sinus infections this past year. I had an emergency cat scan 3 weeks ago to find out that I have two blockages. I hope to go home after the surgery is over and rest at home.I am more nervous about going under anesthesia than the surgery itself. I have had previous surgeries and I do not take well to anesthesia at all. Anyway I hope everyone has a great day. Talk to you all soon. Fondly-Gail::MinnieMo

Hi Everyone. Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about your friend my prayers go to you all and their family.
Jill, I hope you are feeling better each day. Where are you moving too? Is it new construction? How exciting that is.
Mary, Sorry to hear about your job. Something else will turn up if the job you have now does not work out.
Karyn, hope all is well. I know you were having trouble posting. When you get a chance and you can e mail, let me know how you are doing?? When are you moving?? I miss my e mail budddy.
I had the sinus surgery and am feeling better today.
I stated a job in lieu of paying my son's pre school bill 2 weeks ago. I work at the pre school (front office) where he goes to pre school two days a week. Four to four and a half hours each day. I will probablly also work their this summer so I do not have to pay for his camp just my daughters.
I also work in the summer at a pool and tennis club 12 hours a week in lieu of membership and maintenance fees. The pool and tennis club has two hundred families that pay a one time bond and maintenance fees every year. The only downfall to this job is that my husband and I play tennis and you are not allowed to play on the tennis teams for this club if you work there but you can use the facilities and all the activities. You also have to work one 4 hour shift evey weekend. It is a great deal. I guess this will be a busy summer schedule. Eventually when my son starts kindergarden I will look for a real job that will hopefully work around my children's schedule. I still have a way to go as Ethan is only going to be 2 and a half next month.
My DH started framing our extension and the roof this weekend. It is so cold here in NY. Hopefully it will warm up next week a little. Winter is on it's way. I need sun and Florida!! We will be in Florida visiting my in laws and staying at our time share in Palm Beach on December 21 to December 28th. I might be going with the children alone as DH might have to work or work on our extension but he will fly down a week later and join us. My children are off from school those two weeks. I am pulling Emily out of school for 2 days so we can enjoy the sun and warmer weather.
I hope you all have a great weekend. Talk to you soon. Fondly Gail1771

Gail, Glad to hear your surgery went well too. I'm using my hand more and more (as you can tell by the post - it now has caps :) ). We are only moving 4 miles from where we live now and it is new construction. So many decisions had to be made before the contract was even signed. But now we can rest a while and wait until the flooring contractor calls to set up the appointment for those decisions  .
Your holiday vacation sounds wonderful and very warm :sunny:
Mary, sorry to hear about your job. I hope that something turns up quickly for you and you get to keep all your vacations you have planned.

It turned cold here this weekend too! Lots of frost out there. But it's supposed to warm up tomorrow, just in time for the Vet's Day parade. If it stays over freezing, our cub scouts are camping this coming weekend! So send warm thoughts down here.
Thanks to all of you for the thoughs and prayers for our friends. DH is heading home today after the funeral and visiting with the family. Basically, they're just in that timeframe where it hasn't quite sunk in yet. I'm sure this will be a hard week.

I just read this on the regular forum and wanted to make other aware that have the SPH rooms booked:
Released SPH for 12/28/04 special Western cruise
We had 5020 and 5520 booked but according to the CM on the Magic last week there is a very good chance the rooms will be completely blocked (windows) with equipment for a special New Year's Eve show.
We LOVED the porthole window and the price difference in getting a guaranteed Cat 9 on Deck 2 versus a possibly completely blocked SPH room wasn't worth it; we want the view!
Just wanted to let others know in case they were interested! My friend emailed DU with her cancellation earlier today and I did tonight.

I hope everyone is recovering well from their surgeries. And Mary, here's hoping your new job will turn out even better than your last. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that life doesn't interfere with our cruising in the next year!
We're supposed to be in the Holiday spirit here, having our second cold day of the season. It's 41 outside. DH and I had a
"date" last night, dinner and the ballet! DD had two roles in the Moscow ballet Nutcracker. They use local kids for the younger roles. I missed most of her second time on stage, because we were on the aisle, and had to keep standing for women coming back late from the restroom. Sigh.
We're getting ready for a Christmas cruise on Celebrity this year. Going to see the Panama canal! We're on an older, smaller ship, should be interesting. Wonder what DD will think of it, she wasn't sure she even wanted to go until we assured her she will get to scuba dive several times. She loves DCL!

Good morning to all. I hope everyone had a great week.
Diana,
We are going on Celebrity for Februrary winter recess- February 13-23, 2004. We are going on a Southern Caribbean route on the Summit out of Ft. Lauderdale. We have never been on Celebrity and we are childless for this cruise. We have been together for 10 years in April so we are celebrating a little early. We met through a personal add in a local Long Island newspaper. My DH placed the add. I would be intrested to hear how Celebrity is??? Which ship are you going on??
Mary, Keep looking something will turn up. Have a great time in WDW.

Mary,
DD & I will be at WDW 12/3-8. We are going to the Doll & Teddy Bear Event that will be held at Epcot. So if you go to Epcot on Fri. or Sat. look out for all the crazy people with their bears and dolls in strollers. We aren't that crazy - we ship them home to keep them safe, they can't talk for themselves if they get lost.
We are staying off-site, about 10 minutes away. I can't wait for warm weather - this wind and cold has got to go. :sunny:
The wrist is getting a little better each day. I am being released back to work on 12/29. I don't have to work Christmas Eve this year - I'm very excited about that one.

Sorry to hear about the bad times, and surguries and all. Here's hoping things are looking better each day!
I have a question that I'm not sure has already been asked and answered about our cruise itinerary......I see on DCL's website that it shows us arriving in Antigua at 7:30 a.m. but not debarking onto Antigua until 4:30 p.m.!? The same is noted for St. Thomas also. Is this a typo, or do we really sit on the ship for 9 hours, wishing we were touring a beautiful new place???
Anyone?
Talk to you later,
Stacey
tkd lisa
11-17-2003, 07:16 AM
Not sure of the exact words, but it means you get off the ship at 7:30, then back on the ship at 4:30. So those 8 or 9 hours are at the beautiful place, then you're back on for us to leave.
Hope that helps!
We survived the campout this weekend. It wasn't really that bad after all. The wind was pretty tough Saturday morning, but it died down about noon, and night time temps hovered around 40. No one got hurt or lost (for more than 10 minutes anyway), and with 75 people, that's not too bad!
Have a great week, all!
WDWLVR
11-17-2003, 07:43 AM
I'm sure those are just typo's. As Lisa said that is when the ship departs. I think on those two ports they should read depart at 4:30 instead of disembark at 4:30. They have the right wording on the other ports just not on that one.
Lisa sounds like you had fun camping!
How was everyone else's weekend?
Hope Karyn at fun at the Food & Wine festival - also hope she gets her connection back soon.

Mary, I haven't forgotten about you. I'm looking into doing MVMCP for the 4th too. Not too sure if it will be overload for us doing all the D&TB stuff too. You know getting up early to stand in line with a bunch of adults to spend money on furry critters and fancy dolls can be stressful. Especially when you have to map out your route in the room to get the purchases you want. Friday and Saturday is only open to event purchasers and then Sunday will be the public day for items left from the limited edition sale. Welcome to Disneyme! It's a great group of folks going on this trip.
What are everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? My mom is coming up Wednesday from Florida and we're going to a nice restaurant for the meal. For the 8 of the 9 Thanksgivings since we moved away from our extended family, we've chosen to go out to a nice restaurant since the first Thanksgiving took me FOREVER to clean out the fridge. It just isn't worth cooking that much for 2 adults (since my kids don't eat hardly anything!)
I've also made reservations for DM, DD and myself at an English Tea room for high tea on Saturday. If I can't have Palo High Tea, at least I'll feel special!
Take care. Lisa

Lynda,
I sold I (one) Steiff bear 3 years ago and the proceeds from the sale paid for a 7 day cruise for the 3 of us. I did buy the bear to sell at some point in time and the time came and the price was right, so back to Germany it went. It was a rather large bear that was a limited edition of 25.
I might have to sell more before we move next summer.

Still trying to get all caught up...almost there. We leave in 24 days (or so) for our 2nd Christmas trip to Disneyland. I'm nowhere near ready. I called and got us the balcony seating with dessert buffet to view Fantasmic....this is a pretty cool deal at Disneyland, since there is no seating anywhere. DH & DS love Fantasmic. Haven't seen it since DW in 2002. I like their auditorium, nice to have a seat for it.
Christmas here has never seemed like Christmas after growing up in Nebraska. I LOVED Christmas at Disneyland. It finally felt like Christmas to me, so I had decided to go every year from now on. That is, until the special cruise! I can't wait. I keep imagining, and dreaming. We've always done just a very quiet, traditional holiday....check out the stockings, have breakfast, open gifts, nap....have too much dinner. I'm trying to imagine Christmas in St. Marten......do you think the excursions/ferries and such will operate?
Best go for now. Looking forward to the next newsletter, Mary! Keep up the great work, and thank you again!

stace, I forgot to tell them about The Land and Sea Guy who has a Cat. 1 for the cruise. The only thing is...he forgot to tell us which suite he does have. We don't want to knock on the wrong door with all our bottles of wine, do we?!?

I need to check in more often. We are going to be sailing on the Celebrity Horizon out of Tampa on Dec. 19 for 10 days. We won't actually be going through the canal on the ship, just docking in Colon. We have booked an excursion to go through the locks on a ferry, should be interesting. We will also visit Costa Rica, Roatan (which is supposed to be really beautiful), Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. DH is beside himself about the scuba possibilities. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
So are you all teddy bear collectors? Doll collector, here, but vintage dolls. Wonderful source for cash for travel, when I can bring myself to part with one through Ebay.
Will anyone be at MVMCP on Dec. 18? We have to do some Disney since we'll be in the neighborhood! Diana

jilljill - great news about MVMCP! Mark and I will be there wearing Sanda Mickey hats and we have lanyards that hold the green mickey heads from Home Depot with our DIS and real names on them. Did you know there is a DIS meet there that night? They are meeting up at the start of the part in front of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe (across from the Hall of Presidents). We're going to try and meet up with them after dinner. They are staying there for the first parade, but we like to go on rides during that time and catch the 2nd parade.
I read on the other thread about Land/Sea having at Cat.1! Hope he decides to join this fun and crazy group and I'd love it if they hosted a party as I've always wanted to see one of those rooms. Totally understand if they don't - after all that is their 'home" for the 10 days.
Anyone else from our cruise going to be at WDW between Dec.2-6? If so Mark and I would love to see you!
We are in St. Thomas on Christmas Day. Mark and I are planning to do Sea Trekkin over at Coral World that day.

Hey! I'm back!!!
I guess my problems were with AOL - so I've found alternate ways to get online.
Anyway, I've been following things here, but missing everybody so much.
My house went on the market today, so that's a big load off my mind. Now I just need to keep it clean and polished.
Does everybody have plans for turkey day? My kids are coming home - last chance to see the old homestead as it were and to also see what the house looks like all spiffed up.
Wish I were joining any of you heading south soon. Today was much too cold for me.
Cheers,

Welcome back Karyn! I've heard so many bad things about AOL causing problems accessing the DIS. Just glad we don't have it.
My mom is coming in tomorrow for Thanksgiving. We're doing our traditional dinner at a local bed and breakfast. The only thing I miss about cooking Thanksgiving dinner at home is the left overs. And since we know the B&B owners, they usually wrap up some leftovers for us to take with us.
Safe journey to all those travelling over the weekend.

Good morning everyone.
Welcome all new cruise passangers.
Karin , It is wonderful that you found a way to return to the DIS. How was sunny Florida??
Mary, We loved St. Maarteen or the french way to say it is St. Martin. We spent last February there for a week. We love Ill Pinel island. It is 5 minutes off of St. Martin on the french side. The boat ride is cheap $5.00pp round trip and the island is awesome to relax or snorkle. We have done both. The is also a great market on the french side and all the venders are out with their goods. The food is great on the french side. I will e mail you all the other nice stuff to do.
Everything here is going well. The constuction is moving forward. DH finshed framing and all the windows are in. The door will go in this afternoon. Iwill be glad when it is all airtight for the winter and we can slow down a bit. We did some changes and funds are getting lower. I also wanted to see about taking a vacation in August so we will have to see where we are at on this construction before we decide. We would love to go to Vancouver and than take a week Alaska cruise. Has anyone been on a cruise to Alaska? We would like to go the end of August. I would love to hear from anyone if they have been and their suggestions.
The current weather in NY is chilly. It has been above normal but will be changing very soon. It has ranged between 52-60.
Anyway, time to feed my children breakfast and get them off to Elementry and Pre school. Have a great day everyone. Gail1771

Karyn - welcome back - nice to see you posting again!
Gail - the house sounds like it coming along nicely. Watch out as we are sending this cold air your way (sorry!). Never been on an Alaskan cruise but it is something we definately want to do in the future.
For Thanksgiving we going over to my in-laws. I usually do Thanksgiving but since we leave for Disney one week from today our dining room table is full of trip stuff. I definately love leftovers and to be honest my MIL is a terrible cook so we bought a fresh turkey breast and had it this past weekend :D
Hard to believe the year is slipping away so fast. Before you know it the cruise will be upon us! Much as I'm looking forward to it I really wish time would slow down a bit - the years go by much, much too fast!

Gail, we had a wonderful time in FL, it was hot and sunny. Jill really liked University of Tampa as well as Stetson Univ. They are her top choices right now. We are a bit sad that they are so far away from Seattle. Speaking of which if you get to Vancouver, ya gotta come down a it south and se us. Maybe I can join you on that Alaska cruise.
Everybody, wow, it's been so long, I'm so far behind. There are new folk, Hi and Welcome to each of you.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and safe travels to everyone on the road.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Karyn,
I went to University of Tampa many years ago for freshman and sophmore years. I loved it. We are going on Royal Caribbean Senerade of the Seas out of Vancouver 8/29/04 through 9/5/04 and it was very cheap compared to some of the other cruise lines for Alaska. We are also going the end of August. We will only be in Vancouver for 3 days. I would love to meet you in person but it might be to far for us with so little time. I would love for you to join us on the cruise. That would be wonderful. Anyway, time for homework and bath time.
I hope GarRy and Vicky are o.k. I have not seen a post from them in a while. Mabye they are away???
Talk to you all soon. fondly-Gail1771

Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving. We're headed to the airport in DC to pick up my mom at noon today. The kids are planning on taking her to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. She liked the one in Animal Kingdom, so it's probably worth the 45 minute detour.

We are packing this weekend! Just think that one year from now we'll be packing for the cruise! I'm getting very excited seeing what those on the ships this Christmas will experience.
I'm also going to try and do the December issue of the newsletter this weekend. I'm off of work Monday and we don't leave until Tuesday morning so hope to get it up Monday at the latest.

Still readjusting a little bit to the time difference.....but we're getting there now!!
Jilljill: We live in the small town of Malvern which is in Worcestershire, approx 1 hour from Birmingham and 2.5 hours from London if that helps place us! Where do your friends live?
Mary: Have a fantastic time at WDW, I can't wait to hear all about it and wish I was still there!
Gail and Mick: e-mail to follow I promise! We had a great trip, were up graded from a standard to preferred view at BWV which was nice! LOVED the cruise, but 4 nights just wasn't long enough! We had a rough first night, but the rest was calm seas and blue skies. Had 3nights at Portofino: beautiful hotel, FOL was great, but it lacked the 'disney touch'...can't explain, but you'll know what I mean! It was the first time that we stayed at OKW and we fell in love, I could live there!!!! Would love to add on!

Debs,
We used to fly into Birmingham. I love to visit the Cadbury factory, mmmmmm!!! We have friends that live near Telford, Shropshire. We were just there visiting in February. And we have friends that lived in Kenilworth, near Stratford, but they have moved to Bournemouth. We have not been to see them since they have moved.
Glad to hear you had a good trip. I agree the 4 day is not long enough, bt it is better than nothing. I think the 10 day will spoil all of us and then we won't think the 7 day is long enough

Hi to all. Hope everyone had a good Holiday.
I'm home with a sick daughter today. Just a little stomach bug. Hopefully, she's better tomorrow.
I won't be in chat Friday. I will be at a Girl Scout sleepover with my DD. I don't think we can possibly shove any more activities into this month. I'm sure glad I'm not doing much Christmas gift giving this year. I wouldn't have time to wrap them! The kids know that most of their Christmas this year and next is the cruise, and the in-laws are the same. So that just leaves my Mom to buy for. Of course, her birthday is in Dec, so that's an extra gift, but I'll figure something out!
Take care!

We were planning to go to my parents for Thanksgiving and spend a few days with the Mouse but, the kids couldn't miss school and I couldn't really leave home with out them. Now I am going through WDW withdrawl.
Garry is headed to Fla as I write. He left just a few hours ago. He had a few days off and couldn't resist. I unfortuneately couldn't take time off work right now. (and the kids with school) Man it was sooo much easier when they were in grade school. Mary needs to look for him - or he for them.
Mary great job on the latest newletter. You really do a fantastic job!!

Have a good rest of the week everyone.
We are a family of 4 ( children ages 10 and 6 )which are booked into a Cat 11 ( inside stateroom ) for the 10 day cruise.
Can anyone comment on the size of this room for our family.

Greetings everyone from WDW! We arrived yesterday and I think we have had one of the most perfect days. Our room wasn't ready but we got all our requests met (upper floor, king bed, Magic Kingdom view). After having lunch at the Poly we called and the room was ready.
I love the view! We overlook the Magic Kingdom and I can sit in bed and see the Castle!
jilljill - the weather was perfect! We had light jackets on last night be were in short sleeves all day.
Vicki - how long will gaRry be here? Is he planning on going to the DIS meet on Thursday night or to the Mega Mouse Meet on Saturday? We'd love to hook up with him here!
I love this place at holiday time - but I'm willing to give it up next year for the cruise.::yes::

Hello Afff. Welcome to the DIS. We stayed in a cat10 with a split bath with just our DD this past August. That worked well with the split bath. Cat11 does not have a split bath and the room is a little smaller. If you could afford it I would suggest moving into a cat10 inside room. Since your children are older that might help having the split bath. Our Daughter will be crusing with us and so will my son. Our daughter will be 7 this March and our son will be 3 in June. I needed the bath for our son but the split bath helps when getting ready beacuse the it has two sinks and mirrors. The little extra square footage helps too. I looked at a cat11 when we were on the ship and I felt it would be to small for us so we went with the cat10. We were lucky enough to get a secret porthole on deck 5. They have obstructed views but there is a window with light coming through. They rate it a cat 10 because of the obstructed view. It was originally suppose to be a cat 9. We also wanted to be on that deck beacuse that is where the children's program is. I hope this info. helps a little.
Mary, It is so cold in NY this morning. 21!! I am thinking of you and everyone on their way to WDW. I wished we could of joined you all but we really can't pull Emily out of first grade as we are for 3 days during the holiday break. We leave for Florisda 12/21 and I am counting down the days. This trip there is no WDW. Bo Hoo!! Your view sounds awesome. Which hotel are you staying in?? I'm sure you all will have a great time. I look forward to hearing about it.
Hi Vicki, It was nice to see your post. When I get a chance I will e mail you.

ARRRRR! My post didn't post!
I welcomed Afff to the group, and said about what the others said about the space. We were in a cat 10 on the 7th deck on our first cruise and really were very happy with it. One thing I like about the inside cabins is that the "living" room is on the side closest to the door. When you have a window/verandah, they put the bed on the side closest to the door, and you have to walk around it all the time. Even though our Cat 5 had the same floor space as our cat 10, the cat 5 felt more cramped.
I also asked whether your kids were boys or girls. Our DS will be 11 on the cruise, and our DD will be 12.
Hopefully, this will actually post this time!
Hi Lisa
My son will be 6 and my daughter will be 10.
By the way where do you find the abbreviations eg. ( DS etc )
I'm glad to hear you found the Cat 10 big enough for your family.
Welcome AFFF,
I have a daughter who will also be 10 at the time of the cruise. Ohiominnie's daughter will also be 10. My daughter, Lauren, doesn't know that we've booked the cruise - it's driving KT, who is Ohiominnies daughter, crazy that she can't tell her. They met on the 3 day Wonder cruise we took in September.
Once again - welcome to this crazy Magical group. Even though I haven't been posting long - and haven't had the pleasure to meet most of the group members - you'll definitely feel like you belong as I did very quickly.

Greetings all! Taking a mid-day break before heading out to Epcot and the Candlelight Processional tonight.
We are staying at the Contemporary- my first time ever! Our goal is to one day stay at every Disney World hotel and this was one I had never stayed at! We got a beautiful Magic Kingdom view. It isn't DVC but it is a great resort.
For those of you who haven't had a chance to see the new fireworks show "Wishes" you'll be in for a treat when you do - awesome show.
Our first sight when we walked into the lobby yesterday was the model of the Disney cruise ship. Made me smile because I knew we were just a year away from our Magical cruise with all of you!
Well off to read the rest of the board before we head out. Have a great day everyone!

Afff: I think the abbreviations are listed on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) part of the web page. But it's pretty much D for Disney or Dear, then
D- Daughter
S- Son
W- wife
H- husband
M- Mother (with IL for in-law)
F- father (with IL for in-law)
GD for granddaughter
GS for grandson,
and so on......
Even though my daughter will be 12, she does very well with younger girls. She'll probably fit right in with the 10 year old crew. She'll be in their group at the lab (it's 10-12), and will probably be happy to email the girls once they know about the trip.
We've told our kids, because they were part of the decision. We're taking my in-laws with us, so part of the decision was that we are having a very small Christmas this year and next so that we can afford to take grandma and grandpa. They kids were happy to do it, because they love their times with the grandparents (we live 700 miles away, so only see them at Christmas).

My daughter loves to hang around with older girls but she will only be shy of 8. I hope there will be more girls posting in her age group for the children's program. My son will be hanging with Deb's son and hopefully other children posting in his age group. He will be 3.5 at the time of the cruise.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. It seems like you ALL are one big happy family.
Its great to hear the similar ages of our DD's and would be great if they could get aquainted prior to the trip via email. ( great idea )
Reading your posts got me even more excited about the trip. I didn't think that was possible.
My children ALSO don't have a clue about this vacation.
So the emails will have to wait.
I just can not wait to tell them ( its killing me )......We are waiting for the right moment.
With Christmas (2004) being so far away anything could happen.
It is by far...... still not a for sure thing for our family as of yet.
To tell the kids about DISNEY and then possibally having to cancell would be the worst thing conceivable for them.
So we are going to wait a while yet to tell them.
I, myself am 99.999999999% committed but my wife is still not quite convinced.
I am slowly, but surely working on her, and I will continue to pay down on our outstanding balance.
Did anyone book airfare with Disney?
We did.......In the new year I will be trying to find cheaper flights then the ones quoted to us.
Thats it for now....I will be checking in frequently
Where do you get the countdown clock?

Afff, you can get your countdown clocks on the technical board. Go to the main board page, then down toward the bottom is the technical board. One of the top posts there is something like get your countdown clocks here.
The person who wrote the code for this was on our May 2002 western cruise (psyklops). He surprised his wife with the trip, and they were really nice people.

Hi everybody! And a big welcome to afff! It seems like everybody is at WDW except me right now.
I'm sorry I've been almost too busy to post! But the house has been on the market now for just over a week, I've had family here and am getting ready to teach an adult class at my church, so time is really flying by. We're hoping to come to an agreement on a contract this morning, so hopefully that will be done, I'll let you know.
It turns out we may be bringing #1 DS and his fiance as well on the cruise. I'm holding a cat 12 for them. The price has already gone up abut $100pp. So the cat 12 is the same as the cat 11 weeks and weeks ago. That's three staterooms for us - I guess we all know what they are getting for Christmas THIS year - A cruise NEXT year! Maybe I can knit each of them a lime green scarf!
Does anybody have an extra DCL Christmas ornament or two they could part with?
Well, I'm off to get started on my incredibly busy day!

Hello everyone,
We made it home from chilly WDW. It was sad to fly home and see the snow, knowing it was starting to get warmer in FL today.
Mary, our time was well spent with all the Doll and Teddy Bear events at Epcot from Fri. to Sun., we didn't even get to see much in the park. We were supposed to go the the Candlelight Processional Sat. night but DD was too cold to sit thru it so we had dinner with friends at Fulton's. There's always next time to catch up with you or anyone else. Our next trip down will be Easter week.
We had a fun time at MVMCP, and 'Wishes' is fantastic. Has to be the best fireworks display I have ever seen.
Off to get much needed rest.

afff, we've never been able to make it to a water park, so I can't give you any advice. However, they often close one of the parks in the winter months for refurbishment. The people over on the theme park board probably have lots more advice for you. One other thought is that it's often too cold for water parks in December, so you might have a backup plan.
To get to the theme parks board, go back to the main page, and it's one of the top 10 boards.
Good luck!

Hi Everyone. We still have snow on the ground in NY. Hopefully when it rains this week the snow will be gone. To much snow for me.
Jill, We will be down at WDW for Easter week also. We will be in the West Palm Beach area April 3-6th than we will be at WDW April 7th to the 14th. If you are free at sometime mabye we can get together for a little while and anyone ealse that will be down there at that time. We will have our DD who is 7 and our DS who will almost be 3 with us. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge the first night with friends than we are staying off site at our Marriott time share near Sea World but we will be at WDW almost every day. Hopefully we can hook up.
Will anyone else be ther at this time???
Have a great day everyone. Fondly-Gail1771

Gail, I was talking w/jilljill about going down Easter week as well since it would get me one more time w/ my APs! It would be so much fun to hang out together!
I was just out in WA doing some house hunting. Pixie dust and fingers crossed, we should have the formal contract on the house today.

Oh no, it's snowing again. We are supposed to get 2-5 inches before turning to rain. We have about 2 inches on the ground now and it's only been snowing about 3½ hours.
I hope the roads aren't too bad, as I have to go downstate for a family Chrismas dinner.
Have a good and safe day everyone.

Garry, welcome back. So glad to hear you're feeling better. Mary and I were saying that you and I have never been in chat together. Mary even wondered if we were sharing an identity (lol!) I'll try to make it to chat this time though. Maybe we can break that streak!
Gail, we did stingray city w/ Capt Marvins on our western cruise, and really enjoyed it. I'd highly recommend it.
Just one year from now!!!!
DS has pneumonia, so I'm stuck at home. No school this week for him. I worked Monday while DH stayed home, and he's staying tomorrow too.
We leave Sunday to visit family in Indiana.

Lisa - sorry to hear your son is sick :( that time of year.
Gail - enjoy the Cayman Islands. We did the Disney excursion that did Hell, the Turtle Farm and Stingray City. Would have loved more time at the Turtle Farm - kind of rushed. Stingray City is awesome and I've heard really good things about Captain Marvin's.
Have you checked out www.cruisecritic.com ? They have boards set up by port and you can get lots of local information there. They aren't as wonderful as the people on the DIS boards but for a specific port they are great.
gaRry, sorry to hear you haven't been doing well. :( Our visit was definately too short and hope to make it longer next time.
I'm planning on being in chat on Friday so we'll see if Lisa and gaRry show up at the same time ::yes::

gaRry, we missed you! You'll need to add my DS #1 and his DF to your list. I'll send you a pm.
Gail, can I come with you? That's the exact timeframe I need to pack my house for the move, it's when Randy will be home to help me - otherwise he's out in WA full time after that. I'd much rather be in Grand Cayman - I'll even watch your kids. Better yet you could bring my Jilly Bean and she can watch the kids! We'll miss you.
YES! We sold our house it was on the market 9(!) days. Bought by a couple who live two blocks away. They were going to add on to theirs, but decided to start w/ a larger house and add on immediately. So I guess when I come back to visit my house will never look the same. Maybe all the plants that I left helped, the guy is a landscape architect. It looks like we will be "Homeless in Seattle" though for awhile.
It's been very quiet here for awhile. I know what's been keeping me busy, where's everybody else?
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season, keep warm.

We will be moving to Ga sometime in the next 6 months.I am really glad I haven't bought airfare for the cruise yet, because now we will be within driving distance. Those of you who are familiar with the I-95 drive to Florida, we will be somewhere between Brunswick Ga and Jacksonville Fl. We lived in that area before on St Simons Island, just not sure where we will settle this time. I will be so happy to be within a few hours of WDW again!
Hope eveyone has a wonderful holiday season!!!

Yup, missing hat this year.
There is definitely a lack of magic this year. We encountered several borderline rude cast members. Also had MORE trouble than ever with those things that make Disney magical (for example, they put our receipt on someone else's packages and we ended up having theirs delivered to us---a difference of about $150 worth of stuff! they ended up reordering it, but it took two days. when we picked it up, it was only 1/2 of the stuff. took another two days to get our stuff!! so things we bought on sunday were FINALLY delivered on thursday!) that's just one example....the general feeling was just not quite as magical though. :(

Hi everyone. Thank You everyone for all the information on the Caymans. This is to wish everyone happy holidays and a happy and healthy New Year. I will not be returning to the DIS until January 6th. We are so psyched to leave the cold for 2 weeks. I am almost finishhed packing. I had to pack two sets of clothes as my mother in law said it is chilly in Florida and we will be there for one week before the Caymans. Lots of stuff and the car seats, stroller ect. but it is worth it. Anyway I sprinkle pixie dust on you all for a wonderful holiday season. Next year we will all be together. Yeah!!!!!! Time is flying by!!!!!!!
Karin, I would love to take you and your dd with us. If you were not moving you could bunk with us in our two bedroom time share. I look forward to spending it with you and everyone next year.
GarRy, we are staying at the Radission the night before but we are probability going to be coming in late as we do not want to pull Emily out of to much school since she will be missing a few days.
Mary, Deb and Karyn, I will miss our e mails for two weeks. I feel like we have known each other for years.

I thought it was just me! For awhile I couldn't figure out what it was that was different, but then it hit me.
Also not sure if I like it. You get a better view of the castle, but it also looks barren now. No character.
One change for the BETTER was Wishes!! I thought I would be sad to see Fantasy in the Sky go, but Wishes was FAR superior (IMHO!) I could have watched it every single night. Dissapointed they don't have the soundtrack on CD yet.

Been lurking, but haven't posted in a while so I thought I would check-in. DH and I just returned from a week in Hawaii.:sunny: It was so nice, but we had to return to 20 degrees and snow on the ground. (Bummer)
We had some great news before we left for Hawaii. We finally got a Cat 3 for the Christmas cruise. We don't have the Cat 1 yet GaRry (we are still waitlisted) but you are welcome to have the wine party in our suite. Right now we are in Cabin 8602 which is all the way aft and has one of the larger verandahs. We are hoping to get a different suite so the girls do not have to sleep together but at least we have a suite.
GaRry,
Don't you need a cruise fix before next December? You could go on the Easter cruise. We have the Cat 1 for that cruise (the one with the piano), and we are trying to have a DIS meet in our cabin with wine and champange. How about it, you sure you do not want to join us?
Everyone have a safe and happy holidays. This time next year we will be enjoying ourselves on that "Magical" ship.

Work has been stressful lately and I just keep telling myself - one year from now we'll be sailing! :boat:
Wish we could cruise again before then but that's not in the cards. We are doing the DVC Member Homecoming in May and really looking forward to that.

Leilani - Great news on the Cat. 3. - hope that it means we're one step closer to a Cat. 3 too - I do hope that you can move up so that we can have your suite...LOL
We were in 8600 in September and absolutely loved it - would prefer a non-handicapped suite for the 10day - since the DDs will prefer not to sleep together.....
Hmmmm - I guess I'm in the race for 1000 too - maybe one of the newbies - ME - will get it.......

It looks every bit like Christmas Eve today! A cold 18 degrees and 2 inches of the fluffiest s*** on the ground. (It's the only day of the year I like the stuff!)
So, I'm wishing each of my friends a merry and blessed Christmas from amid my packing boxes!

gaRry, you are aiming high - 10,000!!! I'll let you have that one, since you have set the goal
It is supposed to be 60 with lots of rain here and chance of flood. We have had enough rain for the year.
Karyn, your ticket is bought - we split it if it's the big one, and buy wine for the wine party.

Happy Holidays everyone!
Raining here too. Was wishing we would have a white Christmas since we'll be moving south. Looking forward to a tropical Christmas next year!
We are currently booked at WDW the week prior to Easter, but may have to reschedule depending on our move plans. Anyone else headed to the world for Easter??
Merry Christmas!!!

Welcome Laurajean! We love having new people join us.
If you would pm me with some info (names of those sailing, birthdays, anniverary, cabin number, seating for dinner, any special info) I would love to add it to our monthly newsletter. When you send it I will pm you back with the password to the newsletter. It might save some of the reading of the 65 pages of messages. :D

Since I am waiting for confirmation, how has the ship been? Filling up, is it nearly sold out? Sorry, but I have not been able to read the older posts.

Hey Laurajean - got your pm and sent you one back. Hopefully the newsletters will bring you up to speed. Bottom line this is a fun, crazy group all ready to celebrate the holidays together next year!
We have a brunch planned at Palo (Gail is organizing that - details in the newsletter).
LeiLani has volunteered her category 3 suite for a wine tasting party. We're still hoping to get to know who has the cat 1 suite with the piano (if we do and they let us in Karyn's DH has agreed to play holiday music on the piano for us).
Many of us are planning on staying at the Radisson the night before as well.
Oh and some of us are fighting to see who gets to make post #1000 :teeth:

gaRry - You can count me in on the 4:00am thing.
It's about 45 degrees and raining here in Oregon. Lots of snow predicted in the mountains but nothing here in the valley.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Next year I'll be doing it in person!

gaRry, I have to say there are better things that I would like to be doing at 4:00 am - either looking at the inside of my eyelids or driving down I-95 to the port.
We still have no clue when we will leave home for the drive down. For that matter, we don't even know what time to be at my mom's for dinner on Christmas Day. We definately can't plan THAT far in advance. We have too many other trips and a move to think about that.

Merry Christmas to all - It's snowing here in Charleston, WV....
Hard to believe that we will all be celebrating Christmas next year in St. Thomas.....
Finally told the DD (9) about the Easter cruise - she immediately tried to con me into making reservations for the 10 day Cruise  :rotfl:
I hope that everyone's Christmas wishes came true! (No - I didn't win the Powerball - but nobody did - so I still have a chance!)
Gary - we're going to watch the parade for you!

I'd love to do the 4am viewing but a lot of it depends on when we fly in. Most likely it will be late Friday night.
Watching the Christmas Parade now and hoping to see gaRry. We're taping as well so if you see yourself gaRry and we miss you let me know where to look and we'll go back.
Right now everything that needs to be cooking is and I'm taking a little "me time" on the computer. The in-laws are due at 1pm.

Well, I've read more than half of the 65 pages of this thread to try and catch up to the 10 day cruisers.
A lot of Mid-westerners, is any one from the Northeast? We live in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Anyone close by?
We're having a perfect Christmas, 50 degrees, sunny and relaxing.

OF COURSE NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!
do you know it would take 16 hours to do that : ~(((
must do it FASTER and when jilljill is sleeping.
laurajean still reading ???????? it will take awhile. there are people that are sitting back waiting for the time to get closer and then you have ME one of a something. just waiting ffrom wdw visit to wdw visit to cruise . anyways in the wine dept. do you drink boonesfarm?????? someone on this cruise does ??
well just another move up to 1000
by the way we have to get to 1000 so I can get to MY post of 10,000 so lets keep it moving........... less than a year to do it ...
lets see if we have X number of cruiser y number of posting per cruiser and z for the unknown that would take ??? days to make 10,000 post yep we can make it easy.
can anyone tell its a very sllllooow day at work??????? which is a good thing.
gaRry
did I do the math right

12-25-2003, 07:05 PM
Ok, I'll continue to help you! BUT then I want that 1000th post! I'm don't want jilljill to get it! Besides, she's not hanging out on line too much today!
Laurajean - so wave toward Trumbull for me and say Merry Christmas to my family! I'm a Midwesterner myself for the past 28 or so years but we're in the process of moving out to Washington State. So I will be a West-coaster soon! In the future my family will have to decide between CT anWa for holidays (I know which will win . . . consider where thay all are this year.)
gaRry, we may yet do this tonight! Keep up the good work. BUT I think it's bit ambitious to be hoping for 10000. I'll do my part!
Karyn
Hmmmm - a little math - to get to 10,000 we need to average almost 26 posts a day up until we leave..... a big chore - but I know that we might be able to do it...... How's that for a big maybe.....
wdwgoose
12-25-2003, 08:08 PM
WHAT 26 post a day you sure you did the x y z method??
?????????? besides when we get closer it really go fast....
10,000 thats doable YES. on the first western we had to keep starting new threads because we did so many ( well things were happening to our threads) we had some high numbers!!!!!!!!!
lets see first goul is 11 more ????????
easy !!!!!!!!!! sorry jilljill you not going to be da one !!!!!!
