Has anyone been on the re-opened GMR? Was there any changes added or taken away?

The spiel is just a little different, otherwise it's the same as before.

I rode it last Tuesday. The speil was exactly the same except for when the CM "saves the day" in the Indiana Jones part and the bank robber gets "turned into a skeleton" she said "I see dead people." I was really listening for anything different because I read on here it had changed, and that was the only thing.

We noticed that the house didn't burst into flames like it used to.

I sympathized with the family next to us with two little girls. She said there's not very much in MGM the whole family can do together without the little ones being bored or scared. She wished the Great Movie Ride had been one ride without shooting that the little ones could enjoy, too.

I understand the big picture, too. That same scene was my dad's favorite part of the ride.

Oh I don't know, when we were there last, our daughter was 5 and she LOVED MGM studios.. I guess it just depends on each child. My 2 fav.parks are Magic Kingdom and MGM...:p

NJmouse,

The ride has changed very little. Thankfully, the Hidden Mickeys are still there!

I rode the GMR on June 12 and didn't see any changes, still a great ride.

Are there still two different versions (the (cowboy) Bandit and the Gangster)?

Sorry, I didn't give enough information. Their girls were one and two years old. I agree, a five year old could have a blast with the family.
