We currently have 3 days remaining on PHP tickets -- 2 adults and 1 child. Now that our youngest DS3 needs a ticket, we're trying to decide what to do.

We are going in October and maybe February. It makes sense to me that we would go for an annual pass. I called the Disney Club today and the CM said we could apply the 3 remaining days to the AP from the PHP passes. I got the feeling she was more confirming what I said I thought we could do rather than speaking from experience which is my purpose of posting this.

I'm wondering if we can do this and secondly, does it make sense to go this route?? I could always just buy the AP for our DS3 but I'd like him to be on the same cycle as the rest of us for renewals. And, if we do this, do we then have to do it at Guest Relations at one of the parks instead of ahead of time?

Thanks for any help.

Cindy

If you are asking whether you can apply unused PHP days to an AP purchase, the answer is yes. As to whether it makes sense for you to do it depends on how many days you will be there in the next year. The usual break even point (see Deb's chart) (http://wdwig.com/breakeven.php) is about 8 days.

If you are asking whether you can apply leftover days from 3 different PHP's to one new AP, no you can't. You can only apply one old pass to each new one you are buying.

I'm not sure I understand your statement "I could always just buy the AP for our DS3 but I'd like him to be on the same cycle as the rest of us for renewals." No matter whether you apply remaining days to the AP or straight out purchase it for full price, it will run for one year from the day you do it.

All upgrades of previously used tickets must be done in person at a Guest Relations window/office. They cannot be done ahead of time.

Thanks for the clarification.

I didn't want to buy another PHP ticket for our 3 year old. I would have rather bought him the AP because we will most likely return within a year time. And, if I bought him an AP in October and the rest of us in February, we would not be up for renewal at the same time. I would have not tried to use 3 PHP tickets to buy 1 AP even if that worked, because in the end, I would still need AP's for the rest of our family.
