Has anybody got a clue to the closing times of the two Universal parks during July and if they will be any fireworks? I have looked at Universal's site but they haven't posted the times yet.

All I can contribute is that the nightly fireworks in both parks start on July 4th and run through August 18th.

Woo hoo, they'll have fireworks when I'm there. Thanks Earl, You've cheered up my day a bit. I wasn't sure if they would still have them in mid-August, but I guess they will. I don't remember seeing any when I went last time, and I was kind of let down.

We will be arriving August 14th, with the fireworks running until August 18th does that mean that they have longer hours when we are there? What are the hours usually on August 14th to the 18th? Thanks!

I was there last year about the same time. Then, the parks ran until ten I think. You could check with Earl, but I don't think he even knows yet. Universal doesn't usually post it on there park schedule list until about the same month or a little before.

We remained open until 9pm during Memorial Day weekend, which took me by surprise. I can't say for sure, but late hours during the coming peak season will probably happen.

They need the longer hours.

People visit the park in the morning, go back to the hotel room in the hot afternoon, take a nap, then come back at night when the crowds are less. Can't do this with a 7pm closing time.

IOA is packed with school field trips. They leave around 6pm to go home. Longer hours would give us a chance to take advantage of a less crowded park at night after these people leave.

:bounce: I can not see the reason for not showing the park hours or if they will be having fireworks or not.
It makes a big differance to people's itinarys if there are going to be fireworks.
