Happy Father's Day WISHers!!!! That means it is te middle of June already!!! Can you believe how time is !! Before we know it July WIll be here!! Well I was not nearly as good as I should have been this week but I still managed to loose 1 lb. And I think That was a gift sooooo onward and downward and here is to a better week!!! Have a great Week everyone!!! How was it????

Oooooh! I get to be first!
I am so proud this morning. Not only did I lose 4, count 'em, 4, pounds, I reached my mini-goal of ONEderland 2 weeks ahead of schedule! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
AND! I get my new clippie. 9½ more pounds, and it will have to change colour!
AND! I am that much closer to my second 10% goal. So that is my new mini goal. I don't know if I can do it by July 1 (or 4th ;) ), but I shall continue to do my best.
Holly, that is terrific about your loss. (That still sounds strange at times, don't you think?) Keep up the good work!

I am down another 3, even though I'm on maintenance! That was quite a shock considering that big platter of chicken fingers I ate! OY!!!!!
I'm STILL searching for that elusive balance that will result in either staying the same or a gain that is no more than 2 pounds.
On the plus side, I have hit that lovely even number....150! I've lost 150 pounds!!!
I have a feeling that I will be up some this week. My clothes are a little tighter. They still fit, with room to spare, but there's less room this week than last; if that makes ANY sense.

After staying at 182 I finally moved on this weigh in to an official 179 for 55lbs gone! I changed my clippee YEAH>. TOM is outta here and hopefully i'm moving on down. It's getting harder and harder to get those scales to come around to my way of thinking but i'm staying with my plan. I made my Birthday goal of 180 by June 28th 2 weeks early so i'm really happy about that. Now i have my sights set on 159 by Labor Day! I know this will proabley be harder to attain than all my other goals but i'm gonna get it or get very, very, close.

I've weighed in early this week because I was too anxious, just knowing there was a loss. I posted a few days ago that after a 4 week stand still I finally lost a pound, well add two more to that for a total of three pounds this week!! Official weigh in is on Tuesday, but I just couldn't wait that long. I have 9 days until I leave for the states and hit a goal point and I still have 2 pounds to go to obtain my original goal (and 3 pounds to reach TigH's challenge to me....getting my 30# clippie by the time my trip arrives!) I don't know if I will make it or not, but it is possible if I stay on track. I will let you know next week how I do.
Debbie, 4 pounds and onederland is a fantastic accomplishment for the week. kelljacques, 22 pounds since March is great, before you know it you will be grabbing that new clippie. Dan, what can I say, you continue to inspire, congrats on losing 150#....AWESOME! Luvinit, I look forward to reading that post! KayleeUK, a great attitude to have!! PartyofSix, 55# gone, that is fabulous, you must feel fantastic.

Think positively. Believe in yourself. You have to believe in yourself to succeed. Look at it this way. You are smaller and you are lighter. You are doing great. Don't start doubting yourself, now. <b>Believe</b> in yourself and there is <i>nothing</i> you cannot do. <i>We</i> all believe in you...believe in <i>yourself</i>.
You can do this, I know you can. Look how much progress you have made so far. You are a delightful and motivating presence on WISH and I'm glad you are in my support group. You can do anything you set your mind to, so just keep working as hard as you can :)

You lost the equivalent of 8 sticks of butter (or two tubs if you are Canadian)--the equivalent of 40 strips of bacon. That is a wonderful accomplishment.

You are ALWAYS so nice to everyone, you are a sweetie.;) Don't forget, I was the one on the LOW FAT diet at first, lost 8 but gained it back, so I was not too excited about weighing in, but I weighed this morning and dropped a few, so I am :bounce: all over the place!;) So, I am starting from scratch so to speak.;) I started Atkins at 208 and now down to 202! I will wait till I get my first 10 pounds off to add it to my clippie!;)

I didn't check in last week but I will this week because I'm down five pounds for the two weeks. That makes 10 pounds so far. Maybe my nephew will be able to change my clippie for me now???
I'm going to try and do my WATP tapes a little more than three times per week. It's such a busy time right now though, with school ending, soccer and endless meetings.

Congratulations everyone! I'm so proud of you all. Those new clippies look great! I am not weighing in this week. Let's just say my dieting was on "hiatus" this past week. Starting tomorrow it's onward and downward. In just 9 short weeks, I'll be in my "laughing place." Just thinking about that makes me want to really stick to program. I would like to be down another 15 pounds by the time we leave, but I will be satisfied if I can lose 10 pounds by then. Keep up the awesome work everyone!

Well as I posted last week, straight after I had weighed in I was real bad and then I did it again at a works BBQ so I am quite pleased that I still have a 1lb loss to get my 10lb clippie. I am going to be good this week, I am going to be good this week........

Well I lost 2 pounds for my first week and I'm pretty happy with that considering the celebrating I've done this weekend for passing my driving test.
However I'm off to Disneyland Paris this week for a couple of days and then a wedding on Saturday but I'm hoping all the rushing around I'll be doing will help me at least maintain that 2lb loss :)

I reached 30 pounds last Friday and for some reason took it as a ticket to eat this weekend!! :rolleyes: I really hate when that happens and am going to skip weighing in for a few days! The good part is I'm NOT beating myself up over it...I'm just moving on.
So, getting back on track today and still aiming for 35 pounds by July 4th. I will do this! :)

I am so happy to see all my WISH buddies doing so well! With all of these great losses lately there is so much to be thankful for!
I am still in a plateau! It's the third week of no weight loss for me. I know that the pounds will drop, just as long as I continue to do what I know needs to be done. So, I will continue to eat healthy, drink my water, and exercise my behind off!

Ok, I'm calling this a maintained week. Managed to get that excess sodium holding bounce back off and MAYBE another half pound. But since my scale isn't digital I'm not getting greedy.
Will call it a no loss/no gain week. That is a good thing as plateus happen along the way. Didn't measure but as I've been packing for our cruise (Check the counter we leave FRIDAY to fly down to Orlando and then on to the ship Saturday) I know everything is fitting beautifully - and those are 12s and 14s when back in January I was wearing 20s and 22s!
So I am VERY HAPPY about where I'm at. The plan for the next couple of weeks is to watch what I eat, take the stairs on the ship when it makes sense, walk deck 4 on the mornings we don't have an early excursion, and not stress about it. Then when I'm back home I'll get back on the strict regime. This is not a short term project - but a lifestyle change. If I can't relax now and again I will simply burn out and give up. That would be worse than a POSSIBLE temporary set back on the scale.
You won't see me for a couple weeks - at least not to weigh in. :eek: My next official weigh in will be July 7th.
I'm heading for DISNEY!!!!!!!

Congratulations Everyone! What an inspiration to read the way you all have perservered and, a little at a time, have met such awesome goals! 150 pounds, 55 pounds, 4 lbs, onederland, you are all soo awesome!!!:bounce: :bounce:
My first week is over and I have lost 2 pounds, I think. My scale needs updating..I'm afraid it bounces around a bit! I'm thankful that with God's strength, I made the goals I set for myself!
I drank 64 oz of water each day, exercised 4 days this week, including a 3 mile walk on Saturday, and stayed within my WW points! Yesterday, the whole family went out for dinner at an italian restaurant. Though I ate well for breakfast and lunch, dinner was a bust, so I have to start over on the cheat free star.:( But today is another day! Goals this week - buy a new scale, take measurements and walk 10 miles this week! I'll continue with the water and the WW points, of course. Onward and downward!!:D

I have been dreading posting this all morning - but I gained a pound!! I went a little overboard this weekend and am paying the price. I'm trying to bounce back though - I'm going to be extra good this week and finally get back on the wagon from a few weeks ago. Congrats to everyone though - keep up the good work!

Well it has taken me a bit to post but here goes....I gained 4 pounds this week. I have realized that I just can't eat!!!! :D Well...maybe not that but we were gone this weekend and I did it to myself. We snacked quite a bit despite all the walking we did and the swimming I did on Friday night with dd. But it made the weekend more enjoyable and I will just get right back on this week and start using that treadmill!

Now for my weigh-in I'm at 214.5 so that's down 1 pound since last week. I'm very THRILLED- because two nights in a row we celebrated father's day and let me just say that two nights of blooming onions were threatening my loss this week. So I'm shooting for a 2 pound loss next week- thank goodness no more celebratory dinners until July 4th!
Great news on the exercise front- walked 20 miles last week and did nautilus once- I feel stronger and less sluggish- hoping to keep it up through this muggy summer weather! :)

A loss is a loss!! That brings me to 12 pounds in 4 weeks on Atkins. I'm really happy with the program.
That's 21 pounds total since 1/1!! My clothes are fitting great (they're loose) and my mother has mentioned at least 5 times in the last 3 days how great I look. This is especially important because she did not approve of Atkins.
Congratualtions to all you other losers. And to the gainers, congratulations for sticking with it. It will pay off in the end!

I don't know if that is physically possible, just imagine how many calories you would have had to eat over two days to do that. So, most likely most of that gain is fluid.

You are averaging a 3 pound loss each week. That is wonderful progress. I hope you are feeling very proud of yourself. I know that I'm feeling proud <i>of</i> you.
It's sort of fun when people who disapprove of Atkins have to break down and tell us how great we are looking, isn't it? I know your mother was worried for your health. The fact that you are looking great probably eases her mind too, and that's a good thing, don't you think?
Way to go this week--keep this up and you will reach goal before you know it.

Yeah me! I got it going. Lost 2 more pounds! My mini goal is that next week I WILL collect my 10 pound clippie for sure.
Now I have even greater news! My DH is doing it too! He saw me eating (or not) eating my way through our New Orleans trip and admired my drive I guess. He decided if I could do it he could too.
Also, I am CERTAIN DH was inspired by BIG LOSER John's story. I made sure to tell DH about John and his Atkins success, with blood pressure and cholesterol report. (Thanks again John for posting it).
DH is not a DISer, I DIS for the both of us when time permits. We are working on an Atkins-type, low carb thing. The reason I say Atkins-type is because I haven't been able to read through it all just yet.
As I have mentnioned before--I do love the part in the old book where it says the goal is that you have to ration your poison (carbs). It connected in me and DH. This is truly a new life style choice and it works!--if you give it a chance.
Everyone, remember to keep at it. Even if there is no loss to report, keep going until you find your way. Something is out there for you, you just might have to wander around to find it is all.

Good news this week! :) I lost a pound of the 3 I gained so I am very happy. :teeth:

This is my first time checking in. I am down four pounds this week, with a total of sixteen pounds lost since May 26. Only 100 more pounds to go! Really though, I am happy and proud of myself.

New Orleans is an easy place to stay on plan, my dh and I were there in February and were 100% on plan the whole time. No feelings of deprivation, either.
I'm so glad that your dh will be following Atkins now, too. It's just easier when you both are on the same plan. It has been very helpful for my husband and me. We keep each other motivated.
You will have to keep us posted on your dh's progress with this new lifestyle change. I can't wait to see how well he does.

Gained 2 pounds - wow am I glad that we don't have to take "special" clip art for gains - I'd be getting my 5 pound clippie this week :eek:
I'm not down though because I began Induction today!! My dh and my best friend are doing it with me!! Yipee!!
I have a good feeling about this and after reading about all of the success that other wishers have had on Atkins I'm ready to go!
Did pilates twice last week, too. My goal is to do it three times so I was close :) .

I'm proud of you for recognizing that you needed to try a more structured eating plan to lose weight. Sometimes we just need to be more careful with what we eat as well as exercising more.
I'm anxious to see how well you do with Atkins. My husband and I love it and have taken it as our lifetime eating plan.

I am down another 3 pounds!! So at 16 pounds total I am only 4 pounds away from my updated goal of 20 by July 4th instead of Aug!!( Lost 3 more inches also!!!)

Ok. I'm back on track after vacation. I gained around 4 lbs or so. I had my official weigh in at WW Tuesday night and am now just .8 lbs over my before vacation weight. I was extremely pleased with that. Hopefully I'll lose that and a little more by next weigh-in. Keep up the good work everyone. :D

I weighed in on 6/17 (haven't been able to get on the boards til this morning) and I have lost 6 more pounds for a total of 15pounds in 2 weeks!! I am so happy! I am staying on induction because I would like to lose some more before adding more carbs. I am not having any trouble staying on plan and I really don't feel as though I am missing anything!

Good Morning Everyone!
Well I had a very busy week last week and didn't get a minute to post, but I did have a loss of 3 1/2 lbs last week!
This week I lost another 3 lbs. for a total of 16.5 since joining wish on 5/10, and a total of 26.5 since becoming a diva on 4/23. Only 28.5 to go now! Almost half way there!
Excuse me now while I run off a grab my new clippie :bounce:

Well last week was a not so good week for me...I stayed the same, no loss, no gain...but this week more than made up for it! I am down another 5.6 pounds and my grand total for 10 weeks is TA DA......27 POUNDS!!!!!
Can you tell I'm just a little excited? My first small goal was 30 pounds by July 12th and now I know it's definately within reach. I still have a long way to go..but I'm setting myself small goals along the way. Now my biggest worry is....when I starting WW I said I was going to cut and color my hair when I lost 25 pounds...so now I have to decide how I want to have it done.

Well I am only down about .5 this week, but that is good for me since I have not been able to exercise at all! In fact, I have barely been able to get out of bed! I have a terrible cold that has really knocked me off my feet, and I figured if I can't breathe sitting here in front of my computer, it's probably not a good idea to try and breathe on the elliptical either :D Congratulations to all you "losers". It seems like it's been a pretty successful week overall!!!

I'm a little late checking in but I lost 2lbs as of Sunday. I was a little curious though because I could feel a bit of a change so I weighed myself yesterday and lost another 3lbs!!
I'm well on my way to reaching my first goal of losing 20lbs before I go to DW in July. My DH is reluctant to get on the scale and is finding out that the cravings are tough (he's 2 weeks behind me on Atkins). I'm really surprised that I haven't been more tempted to blow out. I made biscuits for dinner two nights ago for my kids and made them smaller than usual so I ate one (okay I really had two) but I felt so bloated I couldn't eat any more and didn't want to either.
Here's hoping for another losing week.

Bouncing in true Tigger style today as I claim my 20 pound clippie! I tried like the Dickens to get Tiggerlover's old 20 pound clippie for such a long time, but inched my way along. This week I lost 3.5 pounds WOW, so I am officially down 20.5 pound since starting WISH!!!! That is amazing to me! I weighed 138.5 today. Ross is down 15.5 pounds and he's in ONEderland for the first time in about 8 years, weighing in at 199.5!!! I am so proud of him! :)

I am :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: with joy this morning. I had my WI and am happy to report that I am down 1.5 pds. this week. I am finally in the 140's (149.5) and am so happy. My July 4th mini-goal on Annie's thread was to get my 10# clippie and I am only 2 pds from that. I think that I should be able to meet it, anyway I'm saying "I know I can, I know I can".
I have another challenge now, since I am below 150, my point range changes in WW, so that will take some adjusting, but I know I can do it.

Day-43 - I lost 8-lbs. for the week, for a total of 18-lbs. lost, and I got my new clippie!
I don't know why, I lost, but I owe most of it to everyone's wonderful support. Thankyou all, very, very much.

I didn't weight in last week, because it was that TOM and I didn't even worry about getting on the scale. Then when I weighed in this week the boards were down. Well.....hoping that I could finally claim my new clippie after my Auntie Flo left (BTW I've never heard that expression before the WISH board:p )
But I'm not able to claim it yet.....Total lose since joining WISH = 9lbs , but I'm stuck (4 weeks now)
But 3 great things that have happened this week:
1) I joined a gym!:Pinkbounc
2) I'm not craving carbs-----WAHOO :bounce:
3) I've determined to do the Fat Fast that Karyn & Tracy did (they inspired me!), to finally break this.
Another week of no loss. So I went out and bought myself a new scale. One that is digital so even if I loose a few ounces I will know it. I have not been very good the last few weeks we have had weddings and birthdays celebrations galore. I am really going to try this week to not cheat at all. Hopefully next week I will show some kind of loss.

How about an illustration? Go get 10 slices of bacon and a roll of duct tape. Now tape a slice of bacon on some body parts. Doesn't matter where, your neck and forehead are particularly good places for reasons of illustration :) Now, wear those 10 slices of bacon around an hour or two. I'll bet when you take them off you will be saying:

Do you realize that if you lose just one half pound each week for a whole year you will have lost <b>26</b> pounds at the end of that year? I know you would have been dismayed to have <i>gained</i> a half a pound. You should at least be half as happy to lose as you would have been sad to gain.
Now, you lost a half pound even though you didn't work out and you have been quite ill. Your poor little body is doing the best it can with what it has to work with. Celebrate every little success and you will have more success.
Be proud of yourself. You are doing your best and you are making progress. I know you want to make progress <i>faster</i> and when you are all well and able to work out again you <i>will</i> lose faster. For right now, you get points for staying with your plan and doing the best you could. I'm proud of you for that (and I hope you don't mind that I tease sometimes.)
