Hi poohbaby,
I think I know how to do this. The best thing to do first is probably change -aaabb - aab - baaba + 2abb into -3a2b - 2a1b - 3a2b + 2a2b. If it's easier you can give a and b different names. I will call a apple and b banana. You owe someone 3 apples and 2 bananas, you owe someone else 2 apples and 1 banana. That means you owe a total of 5 apples and 3 bananas. You owe someone else 3 apples and 2 bananas. So now you owe a total of 8 apples and 5 bananas. Then someone gives you 2 apples and 2 bananas. So now you only owe 6 apples and 3 bananas. Change apples and bananas back into a and b. So the answer would be -6a3b, i think.

Oh no, I always hate it when 2 people come up with 2 different answers, but this is what I got:

-aaabb - aab - baaba + 2abb
=-a3b2 - a2b - a3b2 + 2ab2
=-2a3b2 - a2b + 2ab2
= ab(-2a2b - a +2b)

But I'm tired and not thinking straight, so this could well be wrong :p .
