My DS loved :) the shrimp when we went to O'Hana's for dinner.
O'Hana's bar-b-q's racks of beef, turkey and shrimp.
Seemed like the same seasoning on all of them.
Some sort of spice rub - or marinade.
Anyone have the recipe for the spice rub or marinade ?
I would like to make the shrimp for my family this summer
on our bar-b-q.

In all the Disney recipes I've collected (& I have zillions! ;) ) I don't have one that is labeled Ohana's & BBQ. However, there are two that come to mind.
This one is the marinade for the meat in the Island Chicken Sandwich from the Kona Cafe.
Yield: 1 cup
¼ cup Soy sauce
½ tsp. onion powder
½ tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. Jamaican Jerk seasoning
2 drops liquid smoke, optional
¾ cup water
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
This one is just called
White Meat Marinade
from 'Ohana, Polynesian
2 tbl. garlic, minced
¼ cup malt vinegar
¼ cup lemon juice
3 dashes tabasco
1 tsp. kosher salt
½ tsp. cracked black pepper
¼ cup light brown sugar
1 cup olive oil
Place all of the ingredients except the oil in a food processor. Slowly add the oil to the food processor to form an emulsion. Reserve half of the marinade for later use. Marinate the meat for two to three days in the refrigerator. Strain the reserved marinade and use to baste the meat during the cooking process.
