I want to make copies of our ticket numbers just in case they are lost. Is it safe to zerox them or does this affect the strip?
Thanks

I copied our MVMCP passes, which had the magnetic strip, and old plastic card passes, before our trip last year, with no ill effects.

No problem with copying. BTW, we usually make 2 sets, one stays at the hotel and one gets left with someone I can call in emergency back home.

I learn something new everyday, here on the DIS. I never thought of doing this...what a great idea.
I have an AP so I really don't need to do it but I sure would if I used hoppers.
You people are really smart, you know that? I love this place :)
Are copy machines available at the hotels? We're doing the FTP at AKL so won't get our tickets until we arrive.
Thanks!

I believe that fairytale package includes "Length of Stay" (or whatever the phrase of the day is). These are right on your room key. Room keys are given a credit card type number for charging that than ends in 1 - ?? based on the party size. If Oldest child losses the key, you go to your front desk and they cancel out card 03 (thus voiding the pass) and issue you a new one now ending with 05 (for example). Therefor, you don't need copies. I know some hotels have business centers but I am sure if it is just one copy of the back of tickets, the guest services desk or front desk at your resort will do it for you.
Good luck

Im planning to get tickets before I go. I'm going to scan them and upload them to someplace online, so if we lose them we will have the numbers with us and if not, as long as we can access the internet we can get the numbers that way too.

nativetxn...
I read on another thread, that her DH lost his AP and
luckily had made copies. The CM said that they don't have
any way to track APs without a sales receipt or Copies
of the back of the AP...We're leaving Manana...Can't Wait!
But first thing we are doing when we validate our passes
is to get a copy...
PS. They found the pass about 3 days later wedged between
the kitchen counter at Ft. Wilderness Cabins(Couldn't
reach it)

I'm guessing that had to be an AP voucher, not an actual AP that they were talking about. Of course they can track an AP if it's lost...they take all of your information (name, address, etc.) when you get your actual annual pass so you ARE in the system(as opposed to a voucher which wouldn't have any "trackability" without the numbers or a receipt)
There is something like a $10 charge if you lose your AP and have to be issued a new one, but I know that any AP (regular, premium, Pleasure Island, water park, Disney Quest, etc.) is able to be replaced if you lose it.

I scan my tickets everytime I go. I got the tip from these boards. When I went last November the copies paid off. I left my pass in a fast pass machine and when I went back to get it, I was given the wrong pass though it looked exactly like mine. It was a one day pass and mine had 3 days left on it. Anyway, I went to guest relations with my copies and they made me a new pass with the correct days on it, no problem.
