We're going to WDW with FTP right after Labor Day 9/2-9/9. I'm trying to get an idea of general parks we'll be attending so I can make some PS's. But I'm not sure about some things.

Night of Joy, a separate admission, is at MK on Fri. night. Do you think this special event will increase daytime crowds at the MK on Fri? Think I should just go ahead and avoid this park that weekend?

Also, I'm curious how the weekend crowds are at the waterparks and DQ. I figure they're pretty popular with locals and might have increased crowds--but not sure with school back in session. Do you think these parks are better left for weekdays?

Any input is appreciated!!

Thank you,
Lisa

Lisa,

I think you'll find Friday at MK quite manageable, even with NOJ. Of course, no one really knows the affect FTP will have, but I've seen opinions from the CM's it will be minimal. The only day in September that any park seem bonifide "bad" for crowds is Saturday in MK.

As for water parks, I hope someone else will do this. A longtime Disney vet, I never did a waterpark until last September. We found a weekday at TL in September to be almost scary, there were so few people. I've got to believe that crowds would increase on a Saturday due to Floridians (it's mighty hot in September), but I can't imagine it increasing to July-like proportions. Hope someone else has first-hand experience.

I appreciate your reply! And you told me just what I wanted to hear :-)

I can just imagine an empty water park, with only a few people there during the week. That would seem a bit eerie, unnatural! But I bet you had a great time!

If anyone knows how waterparks are in Sept on the weekends, please let me know!!

Thanks again,
Lisa
