Room requests

Over time I have noticed many posts asking about specific room numbers at BWV. We also requested a specific room when we made our reservation for November.

How many people have actually got the room that they requested?

I've never requested a specific room #. When we stayed at BWV last December when I made the reservation at 11 months I requested boardwalk view. We ended up over the quiet pool. So forget room #, I would have just been happy with the view I requested, any room! I didn't send a fax before check-in, I wish I would have, it may have helped (couldn't hurt...). If I was you, I would send a fax and say "if this room is not available, then my next choice is a room with _______ view".

Reportedly, requests are honored by the date in which they were received. I would suggest making your requests when you make the reservation.

Some have reported faxing the room controller and getting their requests, but DVC stated at the annual meeting that requests would be filled from their earliest request.

I actually did make the room request at the 11 month mark when we made the reservation. We requested the same room that we had on the last trip.

I understand that the request depends on several factors including the order of when the request were made and if the room is available. I am just curious as to how many people actually got their requests filled.

Requesting a specific room is really tough because there are so many variables involved. Better to ask for an area or view.

Best way to NOT get your request is to ask for a specific room. They'll still try to give you a room nearby.
