View Full Version : WISH rerun--did you think tv was the only place you find those?

Not hardly. Because I love the music and because we have so many new WISHers--I just felt like posting this again :)

I was thinking, last night, about how great it would be if I could wish upon a star then go to bed and wake up thin.

I decided, however, that I am glad that losing weight that way isn't possible. If I could lose weight that easily I would have missed so much.

If we could all WISH away the pounds we wouldn't need WISH. If it wasn't for WISH I wouldn't have been able to get to know so many WISHers better. I wouldn't have made so many new friends and I would have missed out on a lot of celebrations.

I would have missed the kind words that give me joy and courage. I would have missed the chance to encourage, support and help other WISHers (and what a gift that has been for me) who are struggling with the same challenges and issues I face, myself, who, in turn, encourage, support and help me.

I would have missed wonderful words that make me feel better about myself and empower me to stick with my healthy eating plan and lifestyle.

So, I'm glad that I can't WISH this weight away. I'm not willing to give up the joy and friendship that I find here on the WISH board.

Oh, who do I think I am kidding--I would kill to wish on a star and wake up thin! :teeth:

I mean, can't I have all the benefits of WISH that I just named and wake up thin?

And one more little rambling, while I'm at it. Would it kill you lurkers to post? Too shy to type words? How about just posting a smilie face? How about if you think this post is silly you post a sad smilie? How about you post a period or comma? You don't have to use a lot of words if you don't want to just give us some indication that you are out there.

How can I get to know you better if you don't post? Don't be such a meanie. Come on, you know you want to :teeth: When you decide to join us we will be here waiting. We're saving a place just for you.

Oh, dear.

Kabuli, when you said "all melty inside", it made me think of M&Ms.

Is that bad?:o

Awwwwww! Sniff, Sniff. Kath, are you just trying to make my mascara run? ;)

Your post was eloquent and heartfelt. It makes me realize how much WISH and all the friends I've made here mean to me. Yes, I too, would wish this weight away if I could, but I wouldn't take anything in the world for all of you here! You all are so special!
