View Full Version : So very happy

Please make an exception for this post. I know it doesn't have anything to do with cruise info, but I wanted to share my happiness with my new Dis'er friends. My daughter was just informed that she was selected to be the class salutatorian. It seems she nailed it with straight hundreds on her finals. Boy am I blessed and feeling grateful tonight. Thank you for listening to my tearful rambling. :D

I believe it was Jackie O who said something like....I could write a great book, or create a great painting but nothing would compare to raising a great child. Now I know I misquoted her but that is the idea. Sorry but you can brag all you want!!!!!!!!!!! WTG, Mom!:jester:

No apologies, please! When you visit these boards daily a bond is formed with its members and we begin to think (and have affection for) of each other as close friends and extended family.
I think one of the reasons that I must have a cruise in the works is so that I may legitimately have an excuse to come back here day after day.
Congratulations on a job well done to both you and your daughter,
Dawn Hope

That is wonderful news. I may even let that smart girl have some dessert on our cruise. Maybe. Wish my DS would get into the school thing. I feel as if I've just completed the 4th grade!!!Will there be room for your head on the ship?

Good morning, thedisneymom.

My daughter was just informed that she was selected to be the class salutatorian.

It seems she nailed it with straight hundreds on her finals.

Finals don't usually "nail down" an accomplishment such as your daughter has achieved. Children attain these goals with a studious home life, involved parents and work. Congratulations to you, your daughter and your entire family...

Hello thedisneymem!

This is one of the things I love about this board... getting to e-meet all sorts of wonderful people and hope to meet them face to face one day! It is always great to hear such wonderful news from our new friends.

Also, I think that Buckaroo's Dad put it very well. You, your daughter, and your family have a lot to be proud of!

Callahanjulie- She is graduating from grammer school. Her brother is very smart and graduated first in his class in grammer and high school. Sometimes I felt it was hard for her to follow him. This was a real self esteem booster for her.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
