We visit Disney quite often (3 times a yr) but other than our very first visit in 1979 (we were at Fort Wilderness with 4 little kids) have since stayed in a resort. Our youngest son and his wife will be camping at Fort Wilderness in Sept. what information about the Camp-Ground can I pass along to them to help make their trip more enjoyable?
Is there a a particular site that they might want to request?
How is the disney transportaion?
What is the rate per night (my own info)--thinking about treating them.
Are there any web sites that offer information that he or I could check into?
Most important--any Trip Reports that we can read from anyone that has stayed here.
Thanks--Ü

Hi,

Yes, paying for their campsite would be a nice treat for them!<BG> It will run you about $50.00 a night, but at certian times of the year (like Sept.) you shouldbe abale to get cheaper. You can go to Disney's offical website at WWW.Disneyworld.Com to get more info and you can let them know that their is a waterpark at the campground, motor boat rentals, hiking trails, bike trails and bike and golf cart rentals, a dinner show, a buffeteria, a bar that serves some snacks, two grocery stores, pools, playgrounds, fishing, a backyard BBQ show with the characters, petting zoo, a nightly campfire program with songs, Disney movie and characters and much, much more, (and all this just at the campground!LOL! You still have all of Disney too!)
The tarnsportation is the same as the other resorts (bus) but, they also offer water transportation to MK and the surrounding resorts. It's the best value at Disney (that's why we stay there at least once a month!)
Have fun doing your research!Mmketeer :pinkbounc
