We will be driving down, it's not a bad trip for ME because Bobby does all of the driving. But I do have to admit I prepack a few things in the van, ie.. CDs , toys crayons, wipes etc before he packs up the van! Whats up with the Downy? I usually iron before I place clothes into the suitcases. Can I just fold and pack?
Today is Jessie's 9th birthday, gotta go get the balloons and start decorating before her guests arrive! Hope the rain wats until after the kids are finished in the pool :bday:
Can't wait to cruise,

Cindy - I'm in South Jersey and it's been raining all morning so far. Hope you get the party in.
Wrinkle releaser is great stuff. Spray, then smooth the fabric out and let it dry for a bit. I hate to iron.

So many great bdays inJULY.. Mine is next weekend, but we don't mention that. the BIG 40.
Wow, I am not on here for a few days and there is a novel of messages to read.
Ginny, Please include me in the :bday: Drink specials:drinking1. I am having a hard time with turning 40 for some reason,,, maybe I just need a VACATION.
We are driving in that morning from Disney and going to AVIS with a rental car. We will be there the week before the cruise.
As far as luggage goes... My daughter plans on a suitcase for just HER SHOES she is so funny,,,lol Other wise.. I think a big suitcase for each of us, a carry-on for each and another suitcase with drinks...
Joanna.. the board is a great idea.. It said I was not authorized to use it though:(... I will look again later.
I better read this board more often. I feel like an outsider in my OWN FAMILY OF DISers..lol

I just got home from work and picked up another box of 50 GREEN leis, doing the count on Jason's site that should be plenty.
Cindy...I have to disagree with you there, its a bad trip unless I'm driving. When we drive to Florida, we fight to drive, it makes the trip go faster when you are the driver. Hope you got in the Birthday party. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Samantha can't wait to see you on Friday:)
My DD's both thought it wold be fun to meet other kids like we are doing in a group setting before the cruise. I already told them (as I'm sure you have) that it is the internet and no last names, towns, school names etc.

Reenieny - of course you are included in the 40 year old birthday celebrations... after all misery loves company - LOL.....
When I was younger I always dreaded 40... but honestly Im ok with it... (the fact that Im getting diamond earings could be helping), Im at a good place in my life, great husband, two great kids, good job, beautiful house.. im grateful that Im alive to see 40... especially since my brother will never see it..

Hi Doreen! I have to say I thought I was going to have a hard time turning 40, but it seems to be okay!::yes:: I haven't met a number yet I haven't liked! Maybe the cruise is helping to ease the transition to 40! Anyway, I know you, Ginny, myself & my girlfriend are all celebrating our 40th, but have I missed anyone else? Or any other big birthdays being celebrated among the group? I wouldn't want to leave anyone out of the party.:cake: I am sooo looking foward to meeting everyone. Ginny,, I know what you mean about being in a good place. But, as far as the earrings go,, I lost one of my diamonds :( my husband bought me for our wedding. Its not even 2 yrs old. I am so upset, My daughter noticed it onthe way to Cheer camp this morning. I didn't have the heart to tell hubbie,, but I did.... he told me he would get it replaced,, and call the insurance co.... I told him not to forget about the Tanzinite from MEXICO,,lol
Joanna, what time are you getting to AVIS??? I will look for the GREEN....
Kathy name the place for the celebrating,,lol:drinking1 Maybe we can include the rest of the family,, just because,,,,We dont want them to feel left out.. Bobby and Cindy may take their cooler somewhere else..

Reenieny - I am a tanzanite and opal junkie myself... my DH got me the most gorgeous tanzantie and opal and diamond ring in cozumel in November.. told me it was my gift for every occasion up until my birthday... I just love that stuff... but I will go easy on him this trip since I know my earings will be big bucks... but then again if he offers.. who am I to hurt his feelings by turning him down.. LOL
I better start kissing up now!!!

Oh Reenie, I'm sorry about the diamond earring. I understand how you feel, a couple of months ago I also lost a diamond earring & I don't think I'll be replacing anytime soon. I would be more upset if my DH bought it for me, but I bought them myself. I really hate losing a gift, after all there is so much sentiment attached to it. Hopefully, you lost it at home & it will turn up! I'll keep my fingers crossed.::yes:: Joanna I think we should just celebrate all our birthdays for the year, after all it gives us an excuse to :drinking1 every nite! Not that I need an excuse. LOL! Ginny Now I know why I feel so at home, we all seem to like the same things. Must be the year we were born:rolleyes1 I just gave my girlfriend her 40th Birthday gift this past Saturday. It was a tanzanite & diamond ring! I was going to save it until the Cruise, but she has been having a tough time & I knew she could use some :cheer2:ing up! She had admired mine, so I knew it would be the perfect gift. I'm going to have to fill her in on this little group so she doesn't feel out of the loop when we cruise! Anyway, I hope you all have a great day tomorrow, and look fowarding to your posts! Kathy :wave2:

Just kidding of course about the boarding... but unfortunately not about the toe.. I hit my toe on the corner of the baseboard molding on saturday and wasnt going to do anything about it til DH said "you probably want to get that looked at since your foot is swolen and turning blue" so I took his advice just to make sure I didnt break any bones in my foot. Good news is no bones in foot... bad news broke the toe next to the little one right through... of course all they do is tape it to the next toe and gave me a bright blue bootie shoe to help me walk easier.... its such a fashion statement.
Anyway Im hoping it will be healed enough in 5 weeks for our vacation and a week of walking through the parks before the cruise.
I hope everyone is having a good day!!

I feel your pain girl! I broke my little toe about two years ago and I never thought I could be in so much pain! It hurt just to walk and forget about working. At the time I was working in a position that required all-day standing and lot's of walking. Not fun!

I had my oldest trying on some pants today and he had outgrown everything ! Augh!
So now I need to take him pants shopping, which is such a joy with a teenage boy.
I have pulled all my daughter's dinner outfits. Good thing she's a peanut, because she'll have a fresh outfit every night and her stuff packs very small. It's so easy to buy for her.

I've also been having alot of trouble with my knees & found out today I have arthritic knees..I told the Dr. I didn't plan on getting so old this fast! Gee, you would think I could start falling apart after 40 .LOL! Good thing I don't plan on doing any strenuous excursions! Will just have to sit back & watch all of you! ::yes:: Jason: Evertime I see your countdown post it sends me into a panic! LOL! Only 45 more days to do packing, planning, buying....OMG...there is not enough time! Joanna - not only do they beg you to come into their stores.. they serve you drinks while your shopping... too funny.. its like 10Am in the morning last year and they are trying to give DH shots of tequila and beer... we settled for diet coke.
The prices are better there.and they will haggle...the ring I got last year had a price tag on it of $2300... of course there was no way I could pay that... we paid $1180... Im sure it helped that we bought other jewelry there too and we had there business card from shopping there the year before. Only thing I did notice is that alot of stores seem to have alot of the same stuff... The ring DH eventually bought me was somethign that I hadnt seen in any other store the entire day so I was happy that it was sort of unique.
Reenie - my neighbor did parasailing on CC and he said 7-8 people went up on each boat. that would be cool if you guys could all go together...

I am seeing on some room categorys' SPH or GTY What do these stand for? I was reading a board from somebody asking about upgrades and I didn't know what these letters meant. ANy one know?
Reenieny: Don't loose hope about your earring. I lost a diamond out of my wedding ring while carrying a tray in the dining room at my old job. Didn't see it til i got to the back. By the time it was over every body including customers were on their hands and knees helping to look for it. A customer found it and gave it back. How relieved i was. i bought their dinner. They could have taken it and i would have never known. But there are honest people out there.:)

SPH stands for Secret Porthole Room. There are several of these rooms on each ship (Magic and Wonder) that have portholes that are partially obstructed by equipment. They book the rooms at a lower category and price than other, regular porthole rooms because of the obstructed view.
GTY stands for guaranteed. Basically, that means that an individual has booked a specific category room but has not yet been assigned a specific room. That individual is guaranteed to get at least that category upon check-in.

When do you usually get the docs? What is the usual time frame.

Doreen--
I think Joanna had some friends that have visited Mr. Sanchos and had a great time. Perhaps she'll have some info on the costs and stuff. Never been myself so I can't really help you out! :)
However, for comparison, we have been to Chankanab Park and paid $10 to get in. This gave you access to the beach, botanical gardens, and such but food, drink, water sports, etc. were additional.
I would guess that Mr. Sanchos would probably be similar in cost.
Karel
07-16-2004, 07:57 AM
Jason - since you have been to Chankanab, would you recommend this for a family? I was all set to go there but I have been disturbed by recent posts about a 'smell' from the ocean. Is there a beach to sit and swim or just a small wading place for young kids? Now I'm thinking Paradise Beach.
I hate this excursion stuff. I feel like I have one chance to get it right and there's too much to pick from.

What do all of you think about me not doing the weekly countdowns anymore, since Jason's been doing a great job of giving us a daily countdown? I don't mind doing it, but now that we're getting so close, I think the daily countdown is more exciting than the weekly one.

I hate this excursion stuff. I feel like I have one chance to get it right and there's too much to pick from.
Karel
We went to Chankanab on our cruise last August and liked the park a lot. It seems to have a lot of activities: beach, walk-through gardens, various water activities for rent, bars, restaurants, mini-golf, etc. (Keep in mind that you pay for entry to the park and then most of the other activities come at an additional charge.) We actually didn't arrive until a couple of hours before closing so we pretty much just hung out in the water on the beach.
The only disappointment that I had was the fact that we couldn't find the "sandy" beach. The area where we got in the water was pretty much just a rocky ledge. I'm not sure if this is all Chankanab has or if we just missed the sandy beach part. If, in fact, Chankanab does not have any sandy beach access I probably wouldn't recommend it, especially for those with children.
Joanna has also been to the park and she has another take on it that perhaps she will share with us.

6 weeks:Pinkbounc
Sorry Terry, If you don't mind doing the weekly one, I like the weekly format, puts it more in perspective for me. But that is up to you.
Mr. Sanchos...Carol, where are you, you lurking? I don't know the cab fare amount BUT Mr. Sanchos is FREE to go to. They have a small pool, a water trampoline (not free) and a bar/snack bar/restaurant. I wasn't there, but Darwin91 was there on our 2002 cruise, PM her for specific details I can't give you.
What will happen if you pick a bad excursion, well since we picked Chankanaab last time and we weren't thrilled with our choice, you will just have to go back on the Western for unfinished business.
Have a great weekend

Can you do me a favor.... look up the Grand Cayman Island Tour in your passporters book and tell me what the rating was. I would be curious to see what others thought of it. If its a dud I dont want to waste $100 on it
Im still hoping DD gives in and agrees to go to Captain Marvins snorkeling again.. but so far shes not -LOL
5 More weeks for me... YIPPEE...

Has anyone ever done the Fury Catamaran Excursion in Cozumel... I have heard that it got a rating of "10" in the Passporter so I went ahead and booked it for my family...
Since DD is so uptight about the stingrays I figured this would still allow us to snorkle this trip and not have her freak out.
I figured I can always cancel it if I change my mind... but I know it books up fast and I wouldnt be able to get it if I waited til I got onboard.

We thought it was going to be a beach, but it was a little bay type area, all rocky, the kids liked it but we didn't, our friends snorkeled there and thought the snorkeling was beautiful but the beach area was a disappointment.
Doreen...Can you also check out what website they give for the GC Island Tour (on your own). We are doing that excursion, but if its only a $20 difference to do it on your own, I think I'll just do it through Disney.

Are you going on the Island Tour through Disney.... if so which one... my family is booked on the 10AM tour....
Mjasp

I didn't book it yet, but it will be the 10 AM excursion. That is one thing I have to do this week, is book my excursions. I'm having a cruise meet tonight for the 16 of us that are going, but everyone doesn't know each other so after tonight they will. Then tomorrow I'm going upstate to our friend's cabin on the lake. So next week is a must for booking our excursions. Anyone going on the glass bottom catamaran in Key West?
Chankanaab was more of a personal disappointment than a disappointment due to the park itself. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't what I envisioned.

Ginny: Grand Caymen Island tour got a 7 rating. Some of the commets in the book were: Very Touisty,The Author of the book didnt like it since she felt it was more of a souvenir tour. Most cruisers reviews were positive. Air conditioned bus. Turtle farm was the best for the kids. Ask if you can hold a turtle. The Fury Catamaran did get a rating of 10 we were going to do that,, but instead we will snorkle in GC. This has a 35min sail on a large, smooth catamaran:boat: with a great crew. Snorkel for 45 min,:fish: and then a short sail to a gorgeous beach the food is about $8/person then back for a 30-45 sail back with music and dancing. 4 hrs/$42/$24(6-9).
I hope this helps

thanks for looking those excursions up for me... I think a 7 out of 10 is ok for me.... DD has been wanting to see the turtles for the last 3 years we have been there so Im willing to do that for her.
Im glad to hear the fury catamaran is good...Every other time in Cozumel we have spent the whole day shopping and then are too pooped from the heat to do anything else... I figure i have a few hours before the excursion and a few after to shop so that will be plenty.
Thanks again for looking them up

WEll today is my BIRTHDAY ! And I Have a great family. My husband gave me an envelope from my sister that is going on the cruise with us ( she lives in Virginia). I thought it was going to be a mushy thing about not being in my 30's anymore. Well he gave this to me Saturday to open. I love to snoop but never found it. Well inside was the written version of the HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG and signed by all my immediate family including my husband, kids parents, BIL, nephew and dogs. Inside was a gift card to RITZ CAMERA's I was floored. I started crying. The gift card was well over the amount for a CANNON 5 PIXELs digital/video camera.
I am sorry to brag about this,, but I am the one pulling pranks and doing special gifts to my family and friends. I was so shocked.. They got me ,, and they got me good....::yes::
This mornign my daugter JACLYN decorated the outside with 40 's and my son made a great cake for me and we had a small party.:smooth: I have a great family.. :grouphug:

I originally planned on doing Play del Sol on our own, but my DD would love to swim with the Dolphins, so we might do that on our own @Chankanab & maybe than go to Playa del Sol. First I have to see if my girlfriend is doing the Dolphin swim & than see if I can book it. (Not thru Disney though). So, I guess I wasn't really any help to you Bobby, was I? Paradise Beach is a definate possible for us. I was all set to go to Chankanaub but this sounds great too. Plus it's free, which is better than Chank's admission price.
I do want to take the kids to see the ruins that are on the island too, so I need to look at a map.

I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the bikes on castaway cay have training wheels? My son is still learning and i'm not sure if he will be ready for cruise time.
Very excited to hear that some are getting their documents.

Good Morning Everyone!
I just called DCL's Shore Excursions line to inquire about prebooking the jet ski tour on Castaway Cay and was told they could book ahead for me now. The excursion # is C12. I wanted a double and the only time he had available for me was 9:45am so if you are interested in this I would call right away!

Hi Ginny!
From what I understand the Jet Ski tour on CC (Personal Watercraft Tour/Jet Ski Eco Tour - who knows the actual name???) is still fairly new. When I called to book excursions on June 29th (our 60 day mark) you were still unable to prebook them over the phone. But thanks to a post I read on the forum yesterday, apparently you are able to now!
The tour is a guided - you do not let loose on your own - waverunner eco tour around castaway cay from what I have read from other posters on the forum who have gone on. There are singles at $95 (I think) and doubles at $160. This tour runs about an hour. There are age restrictions... I think 8 and up. My DH and I are speed demons so this is supposedly a good speed rush but not extremely fast by any means and there is guided safety instruction before the tour begins. I think you need to be at least 17 to drive one??? but I am unsure about that. I hope I helped you! You can always call DCL and find out the exact specifics.

I Have to say, it is so much more exciting getting them the first time, now I just checked the names and my DH's is missing a letter, it is Mitchel instead of Mitchell, do you think I should even inform DCL, I mean, I am assuming our last docs must have been the same way since we booked on board.
Then I put them in the drawer and will fill them out probably a week before we go.

I tried not to get my hopes up, and no door bell rang, but then my 7 year old, came running up saying ," you got a package!' now here I am tearing down the steps only to find, some of John's boring paperwork was delivered. So in an effort to start getting organized :smooth: I started to think about the post cards I'm going to send back. I'm thinking to do it from Castaway Cay. I'm assuming you can't use US stamps there right? How much does it cost to send a post card from there? and is there a place to find them

Hi Mary Anne--
Disney has a little post office that sells Bahamian postage right on the dock. It's probably only 50 feet from the gangway of the ship. You can purchase postage and drop your mail off there.
I'm not sure what it costs to mail a postcard but they only take cash at the post office.

Welcome back to those who returned from vacations (Reenie too even though moving isn't much of a vacation!!) ! :sunny:
Joanna... Enjoy South Beach.
Kathy... Enjoy the blockparty! Lots of FL Sun :sunny: for you!
Bobby... my DH will probably wear some cargo khaki shorts with his new Disney tropical shirt he bought in WDW last week on tropical night. From the navigators I have seen I believe that is the only night where it is not printed "No Shorts". Will have to doublecheck that!
I am happy to report that I have made my first few cruise purchases this weekend - waterproof disposable cameras (we use our digital camera for everything else), travel detergents, and document travel case!!!! Makes the cruise seem closer. Found a little corner of the bedroom to throw a small rubbermaid tote in to put cruise items in! On the lookout for some new clothes now! :) And also made emergency lists for my sister and sister-in-law who will both be watching the boys while we are gone so that is done and now I can re-check it to death to make sure I didn't forget anything!

Bobby - I would say wear shorts... I know My DH and Son and BIL and Nephew will all be in shorts and I think you will see quite a few pairs of shorts in the dining room that night.
Actually all 8 of us have matching Disney outfits for the cruise.. me and sis have the skirts, 2 daughters have the dresses and the men and boys have the shirts... it should make for a nice picture.
Doreen - I agree with the purging thing.. Dh and I have been doing that lately incase something comes up with a job in Florida and we have to move quickly.... want to be as ready as possible.

We ordered ours prior to our cruise in May and received it within ten days. As long as you have at least ten points, you can order the card and then add additional points before you leave for Disney. You can add additional points over the web or over the phone and the only restriction is that you have to have a minimum of ten points to add to your card.

That sounds like a great concert. I especially like Rod Stewart's new stuff, which is really old stuff of course. I just don't like to see him try to dance. He just can't move! I could have won tickets to see Smokey Robinson at Niagara Falls the other day if I had bothered to refill my cell phone. I knew the answer to the question on the radio and nobody else seemed to. Hi Cindy :wave2:
I cruised last year with my 2 brothers and their wives, and I decided back then that the next time I cruised, I'd wear a sundress or casual dress, even on casual nights. I'm a round-figured person, and even though I had on "nice" capris and tops, I felt underdressed wearing them. My SILs wore sun dresses on the casual nights, and I really had wished I had done the same thing. So.....this year, I am packing 3 formal type dresses (formal night, semi-formal night, and Palo night), plus 4 long sundresses for the casual nights. I'll pack shorts for the daytime, but I won't be wearing capris or pants at all to dinner.
If I had a nice figure, I'd probably go for the capris or dressy pants on casual nights, but either way, I feel you can't go wrong wearing a dress, even on casual nights :)
Karel
07-24-2004, 08:03 PM
Ginny - did you find those pants at Cherry Hill Mall? I need to go to Sears tomorrow (at Deptford) to exchange my son's new pants and that's a great price.
DV Rewards - I've been waiting forever for my account to be credited with reward points and I have now successfully ordered my reward card. I'm hoping to get it within two weeks. Now I have to decide what to do with the points. Since we upgraded to a deluxe at WDW, I think I'll put the points towards our room.
Dinner clothes - I have a dress for formal night, a nice pants suit for semi formal and pants with various blouses for dinner. Oh, I also have a denim skirt and white sweater too. I just packed most of it today!
I wouldn't get too worried about the clothes. Do what you feel comfortable in . As long as it's not shorts and jeans, you'll be fine.

For those spending a few days at Disney before the cruise, the Wide World of Sports has the AA Atlanta braves team playing that week. Monday the play the AA Yankes, Wednesday the AA Phillies and Friday the AA Tigers.
We'll be doing the Monday and probably take in the Friday game before we head out to the Radisson.

Hi everyone!
I blew all my previous plans for the cruise today! We were originally staying at the MCO Hyatt on Friday night and taking DCL transportation to the port in the morning...now we are renting a car and driving to the Radisson for Friday night and leaving the car there for the week. We will shuttle to the port and back and then have the car for our weekend visit to WDW. It actually ended up being about the same amount of money.
We were originally thinking of not getting all decked out for formal night. Then I saw this dress on-line and couldn't resist it! LOL Had DH check his suits for fit since he lost almost 40 lbs. Nothing fit well. So I talked him into renting a TUX on the cruise! Can't believe he went for it. Now I have to figure out what DD is wearing.
I have had my reward card for some time now and just add new points to it as I need them. I used it at Christmas time in WDW towards our room charges and then again in Apr at Vero. Works really well. I go to the CC website and just download them from there.
So, I guess I will see some of you at the Radisson! And just look for the good-looking guy in the Tux on formal night, I'll be with him!

The game is at 12 noon. If you don't have a car or don't want to drive be at the bus stop by MGM entrance @ 11 am or 11:20 (the bus runs every 20 minutes) to the entrace at WW of sports (do you realize how sick it is that I know that bus schedule  LOL ) This is the only bus service that runs to WWSports. If you don't use it you'll have to drive.
I'm don't think the plus will get you in but the tickets are really cheap only a couple of dollars and well worth it. You literally sit right on the field if you get box seats. If you go for lodge (even cheaper) you'd be in what would be box seats in a Major League Park.

Well keep it in the back of your mind, just in case.
We're thinking of going there for the Monday game and the Friday game after we check out of the OKWest and before we check into the Radisson.

I was originally planning on purchasing suits for my three sons for dinners on the cruise, do you think dress pants with a shirt and tie would be appropriate? (ages 13, 10 and 7) I would hate to spend all that money for one week of wear. Don't forget you are looking at AA ball. It may be very possible that some of these kids might eventually be traded to your team down the road. They are years away from the Majors.
Then again it's more then possible 99% of them will never see a major league uniform :lol

Hi Everyone!:wave2: Thanks for all the PD & well wishes for our Block Party. While it rained early in the day, we were still able to have it! Everyone had a great time & more importantly the kids really had the best time. I am worn out, so here I sit with my feet up chatting with my DIS friends. :hyper2:. I really need to start getting it together, after reading all the posts about who is wearing what, I realized I may not have enough dressy outfits. Oh well, a good reason to go shopping! LOL! Since I'm not sure the kids will be eating with us every nite, I just bought my son a couple of pair of nice dress pants & some nice short sleeved shirts & sweaters. My DD has 2 pairs of pants & 2 skirt sets she can wear, + 2 dresses. Funny, I have no idea what my DH is bringing for dinnerwear. Guess I'll have to look into that this week. Still can't make up my mind about Palo, all the dinner rotations sound so good that I don't know if I want to give up one of those nights for Palo. Oh well, no matter what I'm sure it will all work out! Still no docs. for us yet either! Went thru DU, I wonder if they'll send me an e-mail before they send my docs. Anyway, hope all of you stay healthy & be prepared for many questions as the Cruise gets closer! Kathy :wave2:

Lynr & Karel - I have a feeling quite a few of us are gonna look alike on Tropical Night... like one big happy DIS family... My group of 8 will all be in the light blue minnie & mickey tropical outfits from disney.com too.
Heads up to anyone who needs clothes.. Kohls is having great sales.. I got 2 pairs of capri's, 2 shirt and a skirt for $58... cant beat that.
I also got all my kids school supplies, backpacks, etc... all bought so I dont have to worry last minute

This afternoon while I was cooking my dinner, I was hungry so my son and I read all the menu's for the week we're on the cruise!
Started my pre-vacation cleaning today and actually made a dent in it. :teeth:
I've made up my mind I'm not going to kill myself ironing stuff before we leave. I'm going to do it all at the OKWest that Thursday night or if I run out of time just send it out to be pressed once we get onboard. I figure no way will it all stay pressed being in a suitcase for a whole week before we get on board so no reason for me to kill myself before we leave.

Thats exactly how I feel. We'll be flying down the day before, staying at the Radisson the night before, so no way will our clothes stay wrinkle-free. I'm going to send everything out to be pressed as soon as we get into our cabin.

Still no documents here :( I need them to show up to take my mind off the pain. I thought I had a pulled muscle in my chest and back but I went to the doctor (again) today, finally saw my own doctor, and after a chest x-ray and exam, he determined that I have an infection of the lining of my right lung, otherwise known as pleurisy. It's very painful, feels like a knife in my back and chest every time I take a breath. I told the doctor that I HAVE to be all better in 4 weeks for the cruise!! ::yes::
Anyone who booked with All Seasons have their documents yet??
Edited to add: I called All Seasons to ask about the medical form for DHs insulin, so I asked about the documents. I was told they haven't received them from Disney yet, for our sailing date, but that they should have them within the next week or so. So.....I guess we still have a week or so before we can expect them. :worried:

Patti, that's a good question. The reason why I inquired about the medical information form is because my husband takes insulin injections so we'll be traveling with needles and will need a sharps container in our cabin. I take medication for high blood pressure, I wonder if I'll need a form filled out or not....
Ok, I just called All Seasons back and they said you don't need a "Guest Medical Information" form just for oral medications, just for "special needs" items like the sharps container and also so they know and have on record why we're traveling with needles. I hope this info helps :)
P.S. DH's insulin needs to be refridgerated, I think that the little fridge already in the cabin will be OK. Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi everyone :wave2:
The realization that the cruise REALLY IS only 4 weeks away is hitting me hard! LOL I feel so unprepared. lol I've been checking out packing lists online. This might have been already posted, but I came across this "cruise timeline" web site and thought I'd post it here: http://www.cruisediva.com/things_to_do.htm
It's raining here today and since I'm stuck at home trying to recover from this lung infection, I thought it's the perfect time to sit at my desk and make lists. :p I think I have done just about everything I could possibly do in advance, except the actual packing. Any other last minute things you all are doing??

Well, suddenly I find myself in a last minute scramble for dog care. Our Westie was suppose to go to our friends house for 13 days. Sunday morning, my friend showed up on our doorstep, asking if we could care for their Westie this week so they could go to the shore. Now the dogs are not getting on at all, fighting and growling all the time. My dog has known their dog since he was a few months old and they always run and play together sp it's not like they are strangers.
Now we're having doubts about them being together for so long. We're gotten to the point that we're using gates to separate them.
One other option is that our dog goes to my parents, which works for me. But they don't have a fenced in yard and they have cats and my husband is worried.
The other option is that we hire someone to stay the night but I don't want him alone everyday for that length of time. Of course, my friend could come and play with him during the day and maybe he could go over there for short length of time.
You think everything is set and then ....bam!

P.S. I'm wondering if the XXL dress will fit me! Do you know if they run big, small, average...?? I usually wear a size 18 women's dress. I know that sometimes the t-shirts from the Disney Store tend to run small...

I think you will see quite a bit of people in those outfits since disney has had them on sale for quite a while.

Look at the Disney catalog under sizing, The dresses really are true to size, whatever size they tell you to order according to their standards, seem to work for me. We have the light blue tropical Mickey dresses and DH has the shirt to match, we have early seating and rotation may be different.

Yes, we booked the Voyager cruise while on vacation in NJ. We're in a category E1 cabin. My brothers and SILs have cabins right across the hall from us, in atrium cabins. We were going to get an atrium view cabin too, but at the last minute DH decided he wanted a balcony.

Just curious to know - how many people on this thread are going to be wearing those blue Disney dresses - I am, Ginny is and Terry may be...so that is a possible 3 - who else????
I tried to get DH to order the shirt but he said NO and got a different (cuter) shirt in WDW for tropical night.
For those Wildwood, NJ fans - need your input - I got a price quote for next summer for a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo in North Wildwood for $1100 for 8 days... is this about the running price for June???? Most of the condos we checked out online seem to range from $900-$3200 for the week. We are VERY excited to finally head back to the Jersey shore next year! :sunny:
And a cruise question too.... Seasafe??? How many of you buy this? I heard sea lice and was almost ready to purchase it instantly but then figured I would check with the DIS family and find out from those of you with experience.
Less than 30 days now.....
Enjoy your day!
