Universal/MGM Trip

I was just wondering how well this would work. On our trip we have a time between 8:00am and 5:30pm on a Sunday. We are staying at Portofino and are focusing mainly on Universal. We were wondering if it would be a good idea to go to MGM during this time that we have open. We love thrill rides so MGM would have the most to offer for us. Is there transportation that is available? Is it enough time to spend at the park? We were also thinking about Blizzard Beach. What do you think? Thanks for all of your help!

Either sounds great. 8-5:30 is enough for MGM. It is a fairly small park with some really good shows/rides. Blizzard Beach is a blast, but, would only take about 1/2 day...unless you just spent time hanging out on the beach portion or lazy river. Right beside Blizzard Beach there is also the Winter/Summerland mini golf course (2 courses) a lot of fun. The slides at Blizzard Beach will get you going for sure! Downtown Disney is also there shops/movies/restaurants...
