OK~went to GiftsofaLifetime to order GOH badges but it says items will be shipped within 3 weeks - yikes! we leave in 20 days :) Can anyone please tell me where I can get them onsite or if you ordered them how long it took to get them. Your input is much appreciated!! I thought this would be neat for the kids, especially since this is our very 1st trip to WDW-YAHOO!!!:pinkbounc Thanks again everyone!!!

You can get them at MGM or at Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney is cheaper and they can make names that are not always preprinted.

I ordered some badges on the 8th of may and received them on the 17th. I live in California so the delievery time was very fast. Since you live across the country from me I would say you should get yours even sooner.

I know if you are staying onsite they will deliver them to the resort and you get them when you check in!!

We found GOH badges for our DS last year in the Fair Tent in Toontown.

We were just there last week and had them made (engraved) at the first store as you walk down the main street of MGM. They personalize everything in this store. Also, we had tried to have one engraved at the store referred to at Downtown Disney and the guy screwed it up really bad and we didn't buy it. He didn't really know what he was doing. There are alot of stores that sell them, at least 1 or 2 in each park, but it's finding a store that also engraves them (if they don't have the name you need) that is harder.

Wanted you to know! It took approx. 7-9 days to receive my order even over a weekend! And, when you place your order with them (yes, that 21 day thing scared me, too), there's a box to add your comments and in that box you tell them your dilemma/departure date. Now, don't expect 2 day receipt but I was extremely happy receiving not one, but a 2nd order as well, in the same 21 day time frame you mentioned! Last order was received 8 days before we leave, which is now down to 4 days! Jane Cartelli, the boss lady with all the pixie dust, will respond to your initial comments and follow up with letting you know when it ships and when you should expect your order! She's great! 1st order received early, 2nd order received exactly when she said! Great company. ;) BTW, I read somewhere here at DIS that it took someone 1-1/2 days to find the pins in the Parks but after they did, their kids got a whole new experience both with the CM's and the characters (who don't talk but, signed their books using the kids' names!

We did find them in MGM (in the engraving shop). They do not have them anywhere on Main Street in Magic Kingdom, I tried every shop, and eventually a CM phoned up and they are in tomorrowland (Ursa's Major Minor store) we weren't heading to tomorrowland, so I didn't check to see if they were actually there.

The badges were super, and every CM made a point of checking the badge and then calling Katie by her name. (I can't say too many characters signed her name, although Mary Poppins checked the front of her autograph book for a name and signed 'To Katie' so be sure and put your name in your book.)

Okay, what exactly is a guest of honor pin? Do they actually have to be someone "special" ie, having a birthday or something like that?

Anyone can have one, BD or not, it's just a special pin for CM's and characters to know your names and treat you somewhat special, on a first-name basis. I've gotten one for myself, and DH was a little upset I didn't get him one! We've got a Red Mickey, Purple/dark blue Minnie and a Red Winnie the Pooh. I read somewhere else that there's a Tigger you can get in the parks. Onceinalifetime has the above 3. Then, your name is added. Hope this answers your question.
