Anyone heard about attendance due to the FP?

Going the last week of August - just wondering if anyone has heard anything from TA's, etc. about how packed the resorts were getting. Was hoping for lighter crowds - but since I wasn't going to go until I found out about this pkg - guess I'm not the only one. :rolleyes:

I am in the Northeast, CT, to be exact and I wish I knew where the sun was. When we do see it again, I am not sure I will recognize it. There certainly isn't a shortage of water this year, rain, rain, and more rain. We had torrential rains this afternoon. I can't take it anymore!!! Went to Disney in late April and had beautiful weather. I was looking forward to coming home and having nice weather here. Wishful thinking I guess. This has been the worst spring I can remember!!

well, I guess it depends on where you're from, but we live in Florida and it has been roasting weather for a while now. I know it must seem like we have it made when you are in the cold or the rain, but there are days when we could go for a little more cool ourselves!:smooth:

I cannot WAIT to step out of that airport on Friday and be greeted by that warm sunshine. Had my heat on again today, May 28th. Can't believe it. I heard only 60's again next week for this area.

I'm sure other northeasterner's agree with me - I'd rather be roasting in Florida than be stuck here in any more of this incessant cold, clammy weather!!

Even down here in the south we are tired of rain and cool weather. Heard this morning that we have already gotten 31 inches of rain this year and it is only May. Last year's grand total was like 40-42 inches.

I posted a thread on the resorts board. Sounds like some dates are already sold out and getting harder to book by the day.

Are those resorts selling out of all rooms or just FTP rooms? Does Disney post occupancy rates?

Is it being optimistic to say that selling out doesn't have to mean the parks will be packed? FTP could draw those that normally stay offsite, right?

Totally possible. I'm not sure how many rooms they would "block-off" for specials. It also encourages people like us, who usually go only once every two-three years, to look at going twice in one year. (If only DH could see the light!!)
