Booked OKW to try it out!

I listened to all of your advice and just booked OKW for our "research DVC" trip for July. I got a Shades of Green spillover rate-$149 for a studio per night. Is that a reasonable "cash" price for OKW? I did check the rent/trade board to see if points were available but didn't see any for such short notice. Even if we'll be paying more than ASMu, everyone's advice to STAY at a DVC resort did make sense. So we'll be trying this whole thing out soon. Thanks for all your advice!

I have points I will be renting at a reduced rate that are good until October 1, 2001. I am not sure how many nights you are staying, but I believe I have enough tio cover your stay. Since I don't see your email address, you can email me at wwitte@peoplepc.com

Sounds like a great idea to try out OKW. Rack rate for a studio would be $244 so you've got quite a savings. DVC member rate would be $203.

Using points, Sunday-Thursday in July is 11 points per night. Friday and Saturday are 27 points each.

Glad you are going to OKW. Try to get a look at a 1 BR while you are there. You'll be blown away.
Wise decision to look before you buy.
Before we bought at OKW, we drove by VB and took a look, also drove by HH(not on the same trip) looked over BWV and stayed two nights in a studio at OKW. Then we bought at OKW. But we haven't stayed in a studio again. DW says if we can't stay in a 1 BR we will just stay home. I agree.
