View Full Version : Can you buy DVC on credit card?
Ok, so we're in a bit of a bind here. We had planned on having a home equity loan ready in time and be able to send a check with the money to DVC by June 1st when the money is due.
Now, due to a paperwork problem (county hasn't sent the company the house deed yet so they can't process the loan) I won't have the funds until after our payment is due (loan company said probably June 6).
The forms we got from DVC say to send a check. I know we made our deposit/downpayment on credit...will they accept credit for the rest?
We're going to call the DVC tomorrow but I wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with this first.
Thanks!

We just used our visa for an add on. I just called my guide and she took down my # and asked what day I wanted it to go through. No problem at all.

Yes - I have put all 5 of my DVC purchases on a credit card. Gotta love those frequent flyer miles!!

Yep. We put ours on our Dell / Visa so we'd get points towards our next new computer. (It was a 9.9% card, so we paid it off from their instead of switching it over to a home equity loan. Yes, I know we could have gotten a little tax relief by doing a home equity, but it was a higher-interest loan, we were going to pay it off quickly, and the paperwork just wasn't worth the small tax benefit for us.) But, we could have switched it over to a home equity line if we hadn't chosen to pay it off so quickly.

Yep, did the same thing. Put my add-on onto the credit card. Went right to my Southwest frequent flyer credits and already have another free ticket. I'm ready not. The add-on is closed, ressies made and free airline ticket in hand!! Just watching the countdown below!!

Hey, thanks for mentioning the Southwest credit card Bob. I just went over and applied for their card.

I've put all my DVC purchases on credit cards (except my 1 re-sale add-on). I love my cash-back cards :)
We did our down-payment on the credit card and harvested the points. No problem at all.
