Beach hotel..... Holiday inn Treasure island? anyone?

Trying to find something cheap but on the beach and not a dump. These are not 3 easy things to find! :rolleyes:

I have found an ent. rate at the holiday inn treasure island but there are very few pics. On the website theres just one outside shot of the hotel and the one pic that only shows half of the pool not to whole thing. So i can't even tell how big the pool is. But the ent. rate is $60 on weekends and $55 weekdays. So i'm looking for info. thanks

We stayed at the Thunderbird on Treasure Island and the pool was nice but the bathrooms weren't very clean. Have you every been to Treasure Island? If you are looking for soft sand to sink your feet into you may want to choose elsewhere. We needed to be wearing some sort of sandal at all times while walking on the beach. The sand consists of alot of broken shells here. Just thought I'd let you know.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree on Clearwater beach 3x and love it! Kids under 12 eat free and they have children's activities programs throughout the day and a nice pool - right on the beach on an uncrowded section of Clearwater Beach! You can find cheap rates on-line - ask for a room in the "tower"! You can watch beautiful sunsets from your balcony! There are many cheaper hotels that are nice on the same stretch of beach - the Ramada is one that comes to mind! Good Luck!:cool:
