i was looking at pics of BCV, and was wondering about something.

is part of the building suspended over water?

are there any other Disney resorts that have that? a building built over water?
it seems kind of sketchy in terms of architectural stability (but then again i'm no engineer/architect, so i wouldn't really know)

i wonder if the ants problem has anything to do with that?

The canal runs under a portion of the BCV Resort. This is a common structural/architectural design and has no stability issues. All of the HH buildings are supported by concrete pylons- there are no ground floor rooms at the resort due to flooding issues.

I can see no relationship with insects with this design.

If alligators were getting into the rooms I might blame the canal;) ;) ;)

Well I heard that PETA was thinking of filing a lawsuit on the critters behalf against DVC. PETA says it's discriminatory to refuse entrance to the gators and the ants. Those poor critters have to live somewhere and it's just plain wrong to take their homes away without compensation! They have just as much right to "sit-in" and protest as any other American! :p :p
