Has anyone rented a home at Eagle Pointe?

If you have, could you please give me information regarding the following:

1. distance and TIME to WDW
2. convenience of food store
3. route to take to WDW - 192 or Osceola Pky.

Oh yeah, and was the house nice?

Hi Patti!
Sorry I can't be of much help to you. We are renting a home in Eagle Pointe starting
June 14. The only thing I CAN tell you is that my aunt and uncle were in the Orlando
area this past February, staying right off of Poincienna Drive (which is right where
Eagle Pointe is). They said it was about a 15 minute ride to Disney, near a Wal-Mart.
They also said the subdivision looked very nice. I'm holding my breath, hoping that
we made a good decision. The home we are renting looks great on the brochure
and was a good price. We considered staying on Disney site but once we saw the
prices, decided we'd rather have the space. If you're interested, I can let you know
how things are once we return, end of June. Happy planning!

I have rented a home at Eagle Pointe. The home was great. It's about 15 minutes from disney. We didn't take 192, the construction was bad. I think we took the osceola parkway, memory fails me, but it was very convenient and quick. The walmart supercenter is very close and you can get all your groceries there. I think you'll be pleased with your house.

Make sure you bring a roll of quarters; there's a 50 cent toll entering and exiting the Osceola Pkwy at Poincianna Blvd, the booths are automated so you need exact change.

We actually didn't take the osceola parkway cause we certainly didn't pay any tolls but we didn't take 192 either. I'm out of town right now but I will give you the exact directions if you want them when I get home. Let me know if you want them.
