Hoping someone can help w/ this question:
We are staying off-site (closest to Epcot gate), and plan to do Chef Mickey's for dinner our 1st night. I know it would be quickest to drive straight to the Contemporary, but I think my kids might get a kick out of the Monorail. Can I park at Epcot and catch the Monorail to the Contemp.? Again, we are staying off-site and will not be using one of our park days. Thank to anyone who can help!:pinkbounc

I beleive that is allowed, but you would have to pay for parking $7.00, whereas if you went to the contemporary direct and parked for your reservation, parking would be free.

You would have to pay to park at Epcot. Then you would only be able to take the monorail to the TTC where you would have to get off of the monorail and switch to the other monorail line which would take you to the Contemporary after making stops at the Polynesian, the GF and MK before hitting the Contemporary. You can count on this taking you at least 1/2 an hour or more than if you had just driven directly to the Contempory. What I would suggest is just driving to the Contemp and getting there earlier than your reservation. You can take the kids on a grand circle monorail tour around the Seven Seas Lagoon before dinner and your kids would probably enjoy that just as much. Plus when you leave after dinner you wouldn't have a major transportation nightmare to get back to your car.

Thanks so much for the info. It definitely sounds like a headache to try taking the monorail there. But your suggestion is a great one, I think I'll try that. Thanks again.:D
