We will be going to the Yacht club with my parents next month. My father can walk but he is having difficulties with his leg. He refuses to use a wheelchair or anything like it. What standard rooms at the Yacht club would involve the least walking for him?
Thanks
We stayed in Room 4181. It was a waterview room. It is directly over the lobby area. When you get off the elevator, you turn right and go down about 10 rooms on your right. The view was the marina and the entrance to the hotel from the water area. You could see Epcot fireworks from the room. I think it was a great location. It was far enough from the elevators so that you did not hear any noise from the elevators but close enough for it not to be a very long walk.

We had an unbelievable room (2079) at the YC. It was a waterview room, fairly close to the elevators. It was surprisingly quiet and had a view of the Epcot fireworks, the Boardwalk and the wedding pavillion (actually watched a wedding while we were there).
The YC is a beautiful resort and the staff is wonderful!
Have a great trip!

My mother (now 70) has made the trip with DD and I for past 4 years and going again with us in Sept (YC). She has had problems in past with various things. Last year she really needed to cut the walking. We stressed on the reservation and room request fax that due to her "age and mobility issues, we really needed a room convient to main elevators". Room assigners did a very good job. In fact, at boardwalk, the desk clerk told us at check in that assigner had assigned room and noted DO NOT MOVE in their computer.
Will be doing the same this year as now her legs are the problem. She came back last year with so many aches and actual sprained hamstrings. But she won't give up going!
She actually picked going back to an EPCOT resort because it seemed that boats and the closeness of the bustops was better for her. And she can go to WS on her own while DD and I go to another park.
The standard rooms will face the front of the resort-not the water and close to elevators will put you by the front drive/entrance. Because of that, you might want to ask to be away from the bus stop as well.
Have a great time!
