What cannot be taken on plane to help pass time?

You can take CD players along but are not allowed to use them during take off and landing. They will announce that all electronic devices must be turned off. My kids always take their gameboys and CD players along as well as small hand held games.

Cell phones are never allowed on. That includes the cell phones that have games on them. Game Boys and computers can be used during the flight, but must be off during takeoff and landing.

Most airlines now allow you to use cell phones until the boarding door is closed and as soon as it is opened. This is a change from when they were not allowed to be on at all at anytime aboard the plane.

CD players and such are allowed. Radios and other receivers are not allowed at any time.
