Need help - we will be in WDW Nov 28 to Dec 7. This is our first time for the Christmas Holiday.
I want to take a family photo to use as our Christmas card this year. Any tips on where to take the perfect family photo? We would like to include either a character or something that "shows" we are at WDW and would like to wear the Santa Mickey hats.
Thanks,

On Main Street, at night, with the lights and snow!
In Epcot, almost anywhere, because they have international Santas at pavillions all around the World Showcase!
At MGM, anywhere in the evening around the Osborn Lights!
In the lobby of the Grand Floridian, with that incredible tree and life-sized gingerbread house!
How about this spot:

You can find it behind the Christmas store at Downtown Disney as you enter the Marketplace from the resort bus drop-off/pick-up area. Amy and I are thinking about using it for our Christmas cards this year because we thought it was so cute.

The problem with the Gingerbread House and tree at GF is that they are too big. If you want to get a closeup on your faces in the picture, this won't work. I took my kids pictures getting on the monorail (hanging out the door...so to speak). It was very cute and everyone knew exactly where it was taken. (We live in Orlando and I'm a Disney freak.....it wasn't a stretch). Just be careful, I was there alone with my kids and almost got bumped by the monorail. I thought the doors wouldn't close if someone was standing there, but I was wrong. My kids freaked because they thought they would be left on the monorail with me at the station. I jumped in just in time after getting hit by the door. It has to be a quick picture.

How about but the It's a wonderful life store in MGM. They have fake snow and I think a snowman outside the shop and it's my favorite holiday movie!

I haven't done this, but read it somewhere and thought it was a good idea - take a picture for a Christmas card at Winter/Summerland Mini Golf (the winter part). I think there are statues of characters dressed in winter stuff, snowmen, etc.?

We did this a few years back and instead of knowing ahead of time, the perfect spot for a picture, we jsut kept taking pictures throughout our stay(kids were wearing the xmas mickey hats). We got all the pictures developed when we got home(walmart 1hr photo) and then chose a picture out of all of the ones we had taken.
Standing on Main St with the castle in the background is always a nice shot.

KMH1 - I love that spot!!! It looks even better at night, GREAT SPOT! When you get down there you'll find a great spot that is perfect for your family! Some characters are dressed up for the holidays Pluto has reindeer antlers on and Goofy is dressed up as Santa. They are usually around at MGM Osborne Lights. Have Fun!!

At a Character Meal.
On our first day in WDW, we had breakfast in AK with Donald and friends. We had a family pic taken by one of the CM's. I used the pic in that year's Christmas card.

We used the photo from Studio M w/Mickey and our DS. Very, very cute! We managed to find some Disney character cards that hold your photos and it was darling!!!
Even though we're going to WDW in June, we'll be looking to get a Christmas Card photo then!

We've been doing this for years and have learned to take tons of pictures and then pick out the best. We've tried all the spots mentioned and more and it really depends how the pictures come out. Our relatives love to play "Where in the World are they now!"
Good Luck!!

I think that the Downtown Disney spot mentioned by KMH1 is a great spot. My sister took her family Christmas card there a few years ago.
You may also want to consider one at Blizzard Beach if you go there. I had my picture taken with some snowmen there a few years ago, and it's funny to see people in shorts and t-shirts or bathing suits with a snowman.
This year, I had my picture taken with Santa Goofy at the Animal Kingdom, and sent that out as my Christmas card last Christmas.
