Disney let my resale go through!

Just to let everyone in the process of resale know how my experience is going-

50 pt OKW resale all 2003 pts available, no banked/borrowed pts
$72.00 pt

Offer made and accepted 5/1, deposit received 5/5, got fax today 5/20 from Timeshare Closing Services that the closing has started. Pretty quick and painless so far. I'll keep you posted.

btw, if you don't mind sharing: i'm just curious, what Use Year is the contract?
and did you pay closing + reimburse maintenance?

Feb use yr (same as my original contract.)

I paid maint. fees on 2003 points, which is fine because if I close soon I can bank them into next year. I will pay closing costs (just as I did on my first resale.)

This is no "bargain" (I bought my first contract at $50/pt, and added on at $67 and $74 (MB) previously) but it was exactly what I needed when I needed it and I didn't want to lose it to Disney over a buck or two a point.

Just curious, did you buy from a broker or personal sale?

We don't have a fax and I am assuming the Closing company was your first contact that it was approved? Based on your original post?

We are purchasing from the Timeshare store, waiting to hear back on the ROFR :( If we get ours, I think it is a great deal but that is the problem, I think Disney will think so too!

I bought from the Timeshare Store, also. My first notification that Disney waived ROFR was the fax I got from Timeshare Closing Services and I called them to confirm that this meant Disney let it go through, and they said this was correct. So if you hear from the closing company, it is good news!

Congratulations! We got a notice from Timeshare Closing Services last week, and cannot wait for all the closing to be done and for us to officially be members! Isn't it so exciting?
