Dolphin upgrades available?

I reserved a room at the Dolphin (gov't rate of $129/night thru Dreams Unlimited, 6/4-6/8). I'm sure it is the standard room - anyone know of a way to get a free upgrade?? Should I call and request? Any suggestions?

Send an e mail request through www.swandolphin.com. Politely ask for consideration for any complimentary upgrade that may be available. Include your reservation #. It helps if you are an spg member. If not, join at www.spg.com (starwood resorts) - it's free. Do this before e mailing your request and let S/D know you are an spg member.

If you go to the Swan and Dolphin FAQ above, at the bottom are suggestions (including those above) on how to improve your chances of a free upgrade!!! Hope you get it :)
