Anyone gone to HHI over Labor Day?

How is the weather, is it unbearable? Are there no-see-ums?

We haven't stayed there Yet, but we did stop for a visit on the Friday before Labor Day last year. The weather was very hot, with intermittent heavy showers. The Resort was fully booked. They had a hard time even finding a two bedroom unit for us to look at. It seemed like a very busy time, the main pool was packed, and I mean PACKED. The Beach House pool was much less crowded. We were staying only a little south of Savannah and it rained the whole weekend with very high humidity. I don't know about the bugs as we were only there for a few hours.

We are planning to go for Columbus day weekend. We have been to HH once in May and it was not crowded. I will be interested to see how labor day is. We didnt have a problem getting a one bedroom on Columbus Day
