We have just been notified that Disney have approved our resale purchase and are, of course, very excited!! I have a question to put to those who are no doubt much more knowledgable than I am. One of our children will only be a year old when we make our first trip as DVC members and will therefore sleep in a crib. If we book a studio or a villa with one bedroom, are we allowed to have 4 people in there plus the baby or would we have to count the infant as a fifth member of our party and need to book a 2 bedroom villa? Any help would be useful!

When you get your documents you'll see that 4 plus the baby under 3 is fine. Occupancy discussions are not aloud on this DVC forum because it usually brings heated discussions between those who feel the guidlines must be strictly followed, and other who think that there's no problem with an extra child in a room beyond 4. You'll need ot judge for yourself, or ask the question on the debate board.

Welcome home.

You were not trying to start an occupancy debate or discussion. (That's what the debate board is for). You were simply looking for information on what Disney's rules are. Since your question was answered this thread has served it's purpose.

Welcome to DVC and enjoy your first trip home.

For those who are unaware, the Webmasters of the DIS have forbidden room occupancy to be discussed on the DVC Board due to prior threads turning out of control.

Room occupancy may be discussed on our DIS Debate Board however. Have a nice evening!!
