My daughter will be turning 7 during our stay at WDW. Does anyone know if you have to show proof of birthday, such as a birth certificate, to get your birthday pin?

I never thought of that. I hope not. I was planning on getting ours for our Dec trip(mine & DS's bdays) when we are there in August so we would have them ahead of time and not have to worry about it during the busy time of the year.
Im curious about the answer too.

amy1007,
You do not have to show anything. Just go to town hall @ MK and tell them today is your daughter's BD. They will gladly give you a BD pin for her. I just did this in February for DW, and she loved it.

It has Cinderella's Castle on a white background with glitter all around it. In the foreground are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & Donald. Above the castle, it says "Today is my birthday".

Each park except MGM has their own pin. MGM uses the same pin as MK. You can pick them up at guest services in each of the four main parks.

The Epcot pin has Mickey in the center & happy birthday spelled in the language of the different countries of the World Showcase. All you have to do is ask at Guest Relations.
