Want a POINTS calculator Excel spreadsheet ?

It's just a small sheet. You type in Calories, Fat grams, and Fiber grams and it calculates the Points.

(I know, kinda geeky. But there's a thread asking about calculating points, and I started pondering it in traffic on the drive home. Then it became a little puzzle I had to solve, and next thing I know I'm sitting here putting it together.

To answer a question about the calculations I used:

calorie points = calories / 50
fat points = fat grams * .08333
fiber points = fiber grams * .2

calorie pts + fat pts - fiber pts = total points


I think these are right. I got the numbers by studying the points slider-thingy to see how they do it. If anybody has a better way to do this or thinks I should use different numbers, please let me know!

This has already been a handy little tool for me. I have it on my computer at work, so I can figure points even when I don't have my slider handy. :earsgirl:
