This is the third morning in a row that I have done the WATP! I am proud of myself for sticking to it and doing it first thing in the am really helps get me going!

Anyone else have an overcome obstacle success story to share?

CC, way to go! You are on a roll and on the road to goal. Okay, that does it. I'm putting in another session on the elliptical, right now!

What a great motivator you are Ms. CC :)

Yesterday I walked 5 1/2 miles. I just started walking after a ten year of no excerise. I started walking April 29. I was so excited when I was done.

I did 2 miles on the treadmill this morning, but no extra. I really wanted to do some extra tonight.

Oh well, at least I did 2 miles.

Since DH was home from work today and it was a nice day, I decided to ride my bide around the neighborhood. I probably rode about 2 miles.

I redeemed myself and walked 30 minutes on the treadmill at 3.8 speed- that's huge for me and I felt like my legs were taking on a life of their own! I was just sooo relieved to see that 30 minutes tick away!! Then I worked on nautilus machines for another 30 minutes.....I also talked to a trainer to get tips on how to increase my speed for the marathon in 1/2005....here's what he said....

Here's what I do now, walk 3 miles 4x during the weekdays, 2 days at YMCA- and walk 4-5 miles once on the weekend. He said take 2 days during the week and instead of doing the 3 miles outside come to the treadmill and note my calories burned/distance. He said gradually increase your speed/incline a little each workout so that your calories burned and/or distance is being increased each time- even a 1 calorie increase is good. Also he said even if I lose weight continue to put the same weight into the treadmill for consistent readings. Hope this helps someone!!! I'm going to start noting calorie/distance next time.

I spent an hour and a half at the gym, did my cardio and my weight training (upper body day). Back again Friday for the same with the exception of it being lower body day.

Yaaaaay, CC! Good for you!!!!!!

Well, thanks to the ohMom (kill your PM buddy) challenge, I have been able to do strength training for MORE THAN ONE body part per day. That was the next step I needed to take in getting my body back in great shape, so I am very thankful that Molli sent me this challenge as I had only been working on body part per day with my weights. :)

Did my weights yesterday and went power walking last night. Today I should be rollerblading soon, pilates, weights and power walking again tonight! :)
