We have a new WW group forming in our area, but it doesn't start until May21. My sister is going to join, but she would like to get a jump start by calculating the points in some of her favorite foods.
Is there a points formula if you have the nutritional info? We have found points lists, but she wanted to calculate for some recipes she has.

I use a palm pilot WW journal with calculators (food and activity) I also have a computer journal that I can email you if you'd like, it has a food point calculator. There is an old thread with this subject if you care to search and try and find it, you may find different ways. I don't have time today to try and look for it for you, but I probably can late tonight or tomorrow if you don't have any luck. PM me your email if you'd like the pc journal.
You can buy WW tools like food slide-rules to figure points on e-bay too
hope that helps! let me know if you'd like me to find that old thread for you :D
As a very general rule, one point is 50 calories. High fiber or high fat can affect the point level up or down. But I've found most things still fall within that 50 cal. per point rule.

She can get most all of the information (point wise) that she needs from this website ----

I have set up a little points calculator in Excel. Just input Calories, Fat and Fiber and it gives you the points.
If you would like to have this, just PM me your email address and I will send it to you.
