My DH goes to a near by Park and walks 3 times a week....today, my day off, I decided to join him.:o They have a path that is marked 2 miles, and I walked half of it, so I figured I walked a mile....I know I was tired afterword! ;) I plan on doing this at least 3 times a week. Oh, and I weigh in tomorrow.;)
That is great! I am so proud of you that you got motivated to do this and did a mile. Thats pretty darn good for a beginning :) Good for you!!! Keep it up!

I am a HUGE fan of walking- it helps everything!! It gives you energy, slims your buttocks, waist and thighs, and helps you sleep soundly for a good night's rest!! The only downside to walking is you need new shoes faster!! :) GREAT JOB!!
KEEP IT UP!!! And you'll see the weight come off more consistently by keeping it up!!

Good for you, Poohbear! You know, the great thing about walking is that you will see almost immediate results in your stamina. It will not take long before you can do that mile faster, or add more miles. I love to walk for (part of my) exercise, and I hope you come to love it to. I love breathing fresh air into my lungs and I always feel energized when I am done with my walk. Also, once you get into a routine you should expect that you will actually have more energy throughout the day as a result of your walking, and you just might sleep better too! Good luck with your new exercise program!
