We stayed in cat. 3 #8102 last year and loved it. It is a huge room, with an even bigger verandah! We are booked in room #8582 this year.

Looking at the deck plan, it appears that 8582 is smaller than many of the other suites. It seems to 'stand alone' on that side of the ship, stuck in with all the cat. 4 rooms. I have heard it said that the cat. 3's adjacent to the Royal suites are larger and more comfortable.

Has anyone stayed in 8582? Will I be disappointed after staying in 8102?

Any suggestions or other feedback is appreciated!!

Sorry that I can't fully answer your question, but since 8102 is one of the handicapped accessible cat. 3 rooms, from what I have heard, they are bigger than the other cat. 3's.

So if I was a gambling man, I would guess that your new room will be smaller than your previous handicapped accessible 8102.

I don't think you will be disappointed. I peeked into all the cat 3 rooms last year and they are all beautiful. The rooms in the center seemed SLIGHTLY larger . Yes, your last years room had a larger verandah but that seems to accomadate wheelchairs. They do on occasion switch people to these rooms if no one was cruising that needed them.To reseve them they require doctor's to fill out a few forms stating the person's special needs. You can't have a bad time in a Cat 3 -separate bedrm, bath, concierge making appts and many more perks. I think you are very blessed. Have a lovely trip!!
