Crowds this week - 5/10 - 5/16

We're going to be at WDW beginning 5/17 and I just wanted to get a feel for the crowds this week.

We're staying at AKL, Deluxe Savanah view on a POFQ upgrade. Woohoo!!!!

We were there over the past weekend and it was fairly empty. Saturday was obviously more crowded, we did AK and Epcot then, but still got to do everything we wanted. FastPass times usually were 45 min. ahead of when we got them. So if we got a FastPass at 1:00 we could go back at 1:45. Then on Sunday we did MK and MGM. MGM was so empty we did RnRC 9 times.

I don't know if this was due to Mother's Day or time of year, but either way we got our fill.

The only rides that had a substantial wait were Splash Mountain, BTMRR in MK and Kilimanjaro in AK.

You should be okay. It was humid though. I live in Houston, and it was humid for me.

We're at WDW right now, and on Monday and Tuesday the crowds were pretty light. We went to MK yest. and Epcot today. Basically no wait more than 5 mins. for anything-no need for fastpass. BTW, we always leave the parks before 3pm. We go to WDW at least once a year, either late Sept. or this time in May and this is the slowest I have seen it in years. I feel sure it will pick up as the week goes on though. Good time for us but bad for Disney.

We were at MGM yesterday, it was very uncrowded. R & R and ToT were walk-ons. On ToT, there were only 3 people in my car! We joked at the end that everyone else disappeared.

On the other hand, we were at MK today and it was very crowded. You know it's crowded when Small World's line is outside on the sidewalk! I think it was because Spectro and fireworks were held tonight. We left mid-afternoon and went back tonight for Spectro (8:45pm) and at 7:30 the curbs in the Town Square area were full.
