Scheduled 1st going home

Today was a big day, I just scheduled our first trip home. Wanted the BWV but it is full so had to be put on the waiting list. Scheduled VWL for now. We;ll be there 8 - 14 Nov. Does anything special go on for Veterans day. This trip hits allot of important dates for us. This will be our second honeymoon, our tenth anniversary and we are both retired military veterans. Now for the hard part, as the millitary puts it, hurry up and wait. I hate this waiting part, seems like Nov will never get here.:smooth: :rolleyes:

We're going in November too, but later in the month. I know what you mean about waiting - it's the worst part. I've been trying to wait before I start planning - I like to do it in the summertime while sitting outside with my kids - but it's getting harder and harder to put it off. Hope you have a wonderful time, and if the wait list doesn't come through I'm sure you'll love WLV. :D

Since you're retired military be sure and buy your tickets at Shades of Green. Save some money. You'd be surprised how many military and DOD people don't know about this.

We have stayed at the SOG and gotten ticket through them. But this time we are Fl residents and still have good seasonal passes that we purchased earlier this year.

hi: we'll be there 11/5-11/12. i hear it will be a bit crowded that week because all the nj kids will have off from school 11/8 &11/9 for a state teachers' convention. this helps to minimize the amount of school the kids will miss for vacation. it will also fall during epcot's food and wine festival, which we are eager to try.

We'll see you there too! We have ressies for a 1 bedroom (requested Pool view!) at VWL from Nov. 6-13. We chose this week to cut down on the days my son would be out of school.. yes.. it is NJ Teacher Converntion week. Let's hope the crowds aren't too bad! We can't can't wait either!!!! :bounce: Our ten year anniversary is next June. That will be a trip without the kids!

ps... we are also looking forward to Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. We have never been.. but heard it's great.
