How bad is the Spiderman Ride in relation to people that may have a bit of a motion sickness problem?
I don't suffer from motion sickness, but two of the people I rode with do. Neither of them had any problems with this ride. However, in my opinion, it is worth getting sick. It is a great ride.
Been there, done that, going back!!!
I definately did feel slightly nauseous during the Spiderman ride. Since it is a simulated motion ride, although a very good one, I still had problems with it. If you get sick on rides like Star Wars, Hanna Barbera, Back to the Future, I suggest you take a gravol the morning of your visit!

I get motion sickness so before I go to parks I eat some dried ginger, which can be purchased at most health food stores.

Hello-
I suffer from motion sickness as well and have never had a problem with Spiderman. I suggest sitting in the last row. I always feel best there. I can't do Back To The Future anymore, but Spiderman is no where as "jerky" as Back To The Future. It is VERY smooth! Don't miss this one! :)

I will add this though:
More guests get "sick" on Spiderman and Cat in the Hat on any typical day than any other ride in either USF or IOA. MUCH more so than Hulk or Dragons.

DH suffers from motion sickness and can't ride BTTF, Star Tours etc without feeling nauseous but he says Spiderman doesn't affect him at all.

Does the ginger really work? I get very sick on rides, but Dramamine makes me sleepy, so I don't want that! Do the doctors have the "patch" back yet?

I just got back from my trip. I am prone to getting motion sickness on simulators. I took Bonine in the morning before going to the parks. Rode Hanna Barbera, BTTF and Spiderman. Never felt "sick" on any of them, although BTTF did make me a little bit woozy (I just looked down into the car for a few moments and was fine).
I thought Spiderman was smoother, but still jerkier than I expected. I can see where sitting in the back row might be smoother.
I used Bonine all through our cruise on the Disney Magic too. We had 8 - 10 foot seas for about 1 1/2 days and I didn't get sick. Bonine worked great and I wasn't drowsy at all.
