We are interested in renting a home near Disney. Has anyone done this and what was your experience? Thanks so much for any info.

I've rented and/or stayed in three different houses in the WDW area. No house was more than 15 minutes away from Disney property. The houses were very nice and convenient. The prices were great. Last December I got a 3 bedroom house for less than $600/wk. Sure is nice to have that kitchen for morning breakfast and the washer & dryer. There are many reputable house rental agencies, call around and compare prices. I used elite-homes.com and had good service from them.

Can you tell me which location is closest to Disney World? Thanks so much.
We reanted an executive home about 20 minutes from Disney 18 months ago. It was a gorgeous home with its own pool and jacuzzi in the back yard. The house was immaculate and we had tons of room to spread out. We had three families in the house, and split the cost. It ended up costing about $380 per week per family! It was a bargin and would do it again!
If you would like the name of the person I rented from email me and let me know.

The closest home I rented to WDW was in Rolling Hills. We could see firewords from there. You turn at Splendid China, very close to disney property. I've also rented a home at Eagle Pointe. A little farther away but still a very nice home.

Hi!
We also rented in Rollings Hills. It was a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Even with the traffic on 192 it was only about 10 min to WDW main gate!
We loved it!
Good luck.

I've rented out homes 2 times in Florida. It is absolutely the way to go! Prices have always been great. Privacy is a big plus. How can you go wrong with your very own private pool! I've enjoyed staying in a home so much I am thinking of purchasing one myself.
Just as a side point, we stayed at Chatham Park (right off 192 near the Super Walmart. Great access to parks) and also stayed at Lakeside(a little further away from the parks, but it didn't matter much since we weren't going to them this last time.)
I would recommend viewing www.floridasunshine.com or
try www.vacationspot.com
Have a great time!!!

Check with floridadreamhomes.com We rented a home from them and it was a great experience. Only about 5 minutes from WDW and the comfort of staying in a home was fantastic! The prices can't be beat!
